• New Heart (2007)

his drama is about the pride and frustration of cardiac surgeons on the job. Lee Eun Sung graduated from a newly established medical school in the southern province and not from an elite one like the Hwang Hee University Hospital where he applied for residency with the hope of becoming a great cardiac specialist. Since he wasn't a graduate of Hwang Hee U., he was looked down upon by almost everyone at the hospital. Nam Hye Suk graduated with top marks and was regarded as a star student. She was an absolute fundamentalist and proud of herself. Dr. Choi Kang Gook became the new head of the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery after being in exile for 5 years for getting into trouble with his former superior. He was a genius but he was also a stubborn surgeon who does not care for hospital politics. It ended up only LES and NHS were the only doctors who applied for residency and they were accepted with great reluctance after being rejected outright by Dr. CKG.

Lee Dong Gwon, a famous actor, was admitted to the Hospital for arrhythmia surgery. He knew NHS from elementary school and was infatuated with her. Between him and LES, who would NHS choose?

• Surgeon Bong Dal Hee (2007}

Bong Dal Hee (Lee Yo Won) is a first year resident doctor who strives to become a surgeon despite her heart problem. She works under Dr. Ahn Jong Geun (Lee Bum Soo), a cardiac specialist, and even though they don't get off to a good start, the two grow fond of each other as time goes by. Dr. Lee Geon Wook (Kim Min Joon) divorced his wife, Dr. Jo Moon Kyung (Oh Yoon Ah), after he found out that his 6-year-old son was actually fathered by another man before they married. He still has feelings for her, but feels betrayed and cheated. This medical drama portrays the lives of resident doctors, their ups and downs, depicting crisis in a hospital as well as politics among its management staff.

• Before and After: Plastic Surgery Clinic (2008)

Han Geon Soo is the young clinic owner who tries to protect his clinic from being taken over by loan sharks. He tries his best to save the clinic when uncollected loans are passed on to him after his father's sudden death. Choi Yong Woo is a talented doctor who joins the clinic to return his thanks to Geon Soo's father. Yong Woo is someone that often gets into arguments with patients who want to undergo unnecessary plastic surgery. Hong Ki Nam is the nurse who forms a love triangle between the two men. Yoon Seo Jin is the manager who obtained her perfect beauty through plastic surgery.

• General Hospital 2 (2008)

A young woman passed the bar examination so that she could become a lawyer who helps patients in malpractice cases decides to join a residency after she completes her internship. Then there is the passionate man who is dedicated to saving lives even though he graduated at the bottom of his class in medical school. This drama revolves around the lives of these two people who are 3rd year interns at the same hospital as they mature in their careers. The drama will show the camaraderie among fellow doctors and the tensions and relationships that develop in their lives as they work hard to cure patients. Their personal challenges and down-to-earth qualities will warm the hearts of viewers.

• Obstetrics and Gynecology Doctors (2009)

Second year ob-gyn Seo Hye-Yeong (Jang Seo-Hee) is demoted to a countryside hospital, after performing an abortion on a patient who did not want a second disabled child. Making things more traumatic for Dr. Seo she discovers that she herself is pregnant and attempts to keep it a secret from her co-workers.

Dr. Seo also finds herself among two potential love interests: Pediatrician Lee Sang-Sik (Ko Joo-Won) and Dr. Hwang Jae-Seok (Seo Ji-Suk).

• Dr.Champ (2010)

Kim Yeon Woo is an orthopedic doctor who takes up a new post at Taereung National Village, the training center for national Olympic athletes, after she is fired from her previous job. She becomes romantically involved with Park Ji Heon, a young judo athlete, and Lee Do Wook, the short-tempered, crippled director of the facility who is still haunted by the injury that had cut short his speed-skating career. This is further complicated by the presence of the swimming coach, Hee Young, who becomes her rival for the attentions of Do Wook.

• Brain (2011)

Lee Kang-hoon (Shin Ha-kyun) is a neurosurgeon in his early 30s. He graduated from Korea’s most prestigious medical school with the best grades and completed his residency. • Good Doctor (TV series) (2013)

As a child, Park Shi On (Joo Won) was sent to a specialized care center, where he discovered genius capacities for his autism. Coupled with an exceptional memory and keen spatial skills, the young savant eventually entered pediatric residency, where he developed into a promising surgeon. However, his mental and emotional development seems to have stopped at 10-years-old, which makes for incredible conflicts in and out of the O.R., especially with the hotheaded surgeon Kim Do Han (Joo Sang-wook). Despite warm hearted and fair colleagues like Cha Yoon Seo (Moon Chae-won) and Han Jin Wook (Kim Yeong-kwang), it’s a fierce and competitive adult world. One cannot simply tell Shi On to "grow up."

I have watched OB/GYN Doctors. It is a really good drama that focus on love and also surgeries and stories of women. Third Hospital is also a good one too that focus on love and western vs. eastern medicine.

I haven't been going through this thread much but is there a specific field that this drama will focus on?

The thing about medical drama is that you cannot really predict the outcome. Some patients will die, and some will live. Some doctors will break down, while some keep on going.

KWON SANG WOO IN BLACK & WHITE FOR HARPER’S BAZAAR MAN

Kwon Sang Woo has been gearing up for his return to television, headlining the MBC drama Medical Top Team with Jung Ryeo Won.

He’ll also be in the September pages of Harper’s BAZAAR MAN, and while he is handsome though dubiously styled, I have to say that his canine friend makes him look good

′Medical Top Team′ Cast Prays for the Drama′s Success

The cast and staff of the upcoming MBC drama Medical Top Team got together to pray for the drama′s success.

All staff, including director Kim Do Hoon, and actors Kwon Sang Woo, Jung Ryeo Won, Joo Ji Hoon, Oh Yeon Seo, SHINee′s Minho and more appeared at the well-wishing event.

Director Kim Do Hoon opened the ceremony, saying to applause, "We′ll continue shooting while aiming to make a great piece. I hope it becomes a meaningful time for all staff and actors."

He then went on to read a prayer willing the drama to be one that will make both producers and viewers happy, and actors joined in the ceremony to pray for themselves.

Kwon Sang Woo especially put an envelope full of money with the words ′42.8 percent viewership ratings′ written on it into the mouth of the pig′s head put there to symbolize prosperity. He also got to burn the written prayer to big cheers from those watching.

"I hope the drama becomes the most impressive drama of the year," he shouted, and Jung Ryeo Won, Joo Ji Hoon and Oh Yeon Seo also said some words of their own.

The actors then showed they were determined to build on their teamwork, sharing the ceremonial drinks with Park Won Sang downing the last glass.

A source from the staff of Medical Top Team said, "Everyone expects the drama to be a success after seeing how bright the mood was thanks to the actors′ tight friendship."

Medical Top Team is a drama about how an elite medical team fights to make miracles possible. It will air following the conclusion of Two Weeks from October 2.
