IU in talks to play the love interest of Jang Geun Suk and Lee Jang Woo in 'Pretty Man'

IU is currently in talks for the lead female role alongside the already confirmed Jang Geun Suk in new KBS 2TV drama 'Pretty Man'!


IU is in talks to play the lead female character Kim Bo Tong. Like her name which means 'ordinary' or 'average' in Korean, she is an ordinary girl but has a lovable charm. She also has a crush on the 'pretty man', Dok Go Ma Te (Jang Geun Suk), and will find herself in a love triangle with him as well as Lee Jang Woo's character Choi David.


IU's reps stated, "Although we received the synopsis for 'Pretty Man', we are still reviewing it. IU just released an album recently so things are hectic right now and by November, it would be the period to focus on regular, full-fledged promotions so were are not sure whether there will be enough time. We are currently discussing it."


'Pretty Man' is a story about a man with a pretty face who manages to capture the hearts of females easily, and through them, he gains not only riches and power, but also later learns what's truly important in life.


'Pretty Man' is set to premiere following 'Secrets'.

Singer IU is likely to appear in a drama as a heroine once again.
IU is preparing for a comeback in the small screen through KBS2 drama “Pretty Man”, which was scheduled to be broadcast next month. “In the meantime, we had a meeting with many actresses, the candidates for casting and crew members. We’re discussing positively with IU and currently in the final stage.” a drama official said.
IU took his foot on acting in KBS2 “Dream High” and got her first leading role through KBS2 weekend drama series “You’re The Best Lee Soon Shin”.
IU is a top candidate to play the role of the heroine Kim Bo Tong who has a very ordinary loveliness suited for her strange name. Her role possesses a huge infatuation to the main character Dokgo Mate for 10 years. She will be involved in a romantic love triangle between Dokgo Mate (Jang Geun Suk) and MG Home Shopping Deputy David Choi (Lee Jang Woo).
“Pretty Man” is based on Chon Kye Young’s original cartoon of the same name, drama adaptation will be written by Yoo Young Ah who wrote the screenplays for the film “My Paparotti”, “Gift of Room Number 7″ and “No Breathing”.
“Pretty Man” is a follow-up to the currently airing drama “Secret”. The upcoming drama has been on focused to finalize casting, somewhat hastily as soon as possible – after the proposed drama for November, “Inspiring Generation”, has been put off in January next year. First filming for the drama will begin this month.

I think the plot is not so clear n gud..bt i m looking forward to see dis couple.(especialy big fan of IU)..i'll give a try

sorry double post.

Just back tracks, so this drama will air on November? I don't think IU will accept it. As much as I love to see her its a hectic months for her. I don't think she will have time for this with all of her promotions schedule.

IU is not doing this Drama , I read that she told she had some concert thingy in mid-nov . 
Good thing am not really into her acting .
