artsy film is a term to describe movies that are beautiful in sound and visual. and usually they try to tackle deep emotional issues in a realistic way. characteristics are; a slow plot, character driven, minimal action, creative shots and use of camera angles, ambiguity, can be interpretated in different ways. i find that they can easily confuse audiences if they cant connect with whats happening. artsy films can either be hated or loved.

but since i love art films, i want to see this! and aoi miyazaki! loved her in nana.
