On January 6, C-JeS Entertainment shared a video of Yoochun's greetings on their official Instagram account. The idol star informed fans about his personal YouTube channel and shared variety of contents will be coming soon. You can check out his greetings in the clip.

C-JeS confirms Yoochun will be releasing a new solo album within first half of 2019 allkpop.com/article/2019/0…







Yoochun's agency has confirmed the JYJ idol will be releasing a new album.

C-JeS Entertainment revealed the news to the press on January 21. However, while it is true an album will be coming out, they were hesitant to call it a full comeback as no other promotional activities outside of a concert tour are planned.

The album will be the first solo release from Yoochun since his 2016 mini album 'How Much Love Do You Have In Your Wallet.'
Meanwhile, Yoochun is also preparing to go on tour in Japan this March.

”I came here thinking that I want to enjoy having an interview and  I need to talk a lot because I've become able to relax myself in my mind lately."
It was JYJ's Yuchun who showed up in a black jacket and grey hoodie.
He pointed to his small scar above his eye, saying "I bumped into something at home" jokingly. He looked surprisingly a lot more relaxed.
The writer thought "surprisingly" because this is a rare occassion that he accepted an interview for the past few years. In fact, it is the first time more than in three years that he accepted an interview in Korea.
Yuchun finished his military service in 2017 and hel fan meetings in Japan and Korea in 2018 to reunite with his fans.
He will release his first solo album titled "SLOW DANCE" in February and in March he will stand on stage  at his first solo concerts in Korea and Japan. 
Accepting his solo interivew, Yuchun expressed how he is feeling now.
"Bathing in pure whilte spotlight, my mind went completely (pure) and whilte."
Interviewer:
This is your first attempt to release a solo album and hold solo concerts, isn't it? In your media interview back in 2014, you said "when I became able to feel something, feel some change happening on me, I would like to release my solo album."
Yuchun: "Was it in 2014? (With a thoughtful expression) It was before the start of my military service, wasn't it? Yes, I feel as if the time has come. I made my solo album feeling that I want to start again and wanting to express how thankful I am toward my fans. 
Interviewer: What feelings did you put into your album title "SLOW DANCE"?
Yuchun:
The album includes dance numbers that I've never done in solo. At fan meetings last year, I sang only balades, but my fans said they want to see me dancing and singing cheerful songs. Wanting to respond to their wishes, I selected many dance songs among what were proposed by my composers. This is the album I have prepared to get excited at concerts together with my fans.
Dances I tried with my JYJ members in the past were more physically active, but the dance music I tried this time are more moody. That's why it's SLOW DANCE. SLOW also meas I will start again slowly.
Interviewer: How is your dance preparation going?
Yuchun: Because it is my first trial after so many years, I may look still a bit awkward. But it's really fun once I got started. The one think I can say is that compared with the fan meetings last year, this year's concerts will get into spirit a lot more. Fans know that I will have a lot more fun this year than last year. So that's for sure.
[In the album, in addition to dancable numbers, three balade songs he sang at last year's fan meetings are also included. (2018 Park Yuchun fanmeeting & mini concert in Japan 再会（Reunion) Remember the memories." Among them, easpecially "Thorny underbush(?)" is the number Yuchun wrote lyrics and composed music. The phrase such as  "Where am I heading by walking step by step?" repeatedly appears, as is he is asking himself.]
Interviewer:
What feelings did you put into the piece " Thorny underbush"?
Yuchun:
The feeling of sorry and thankfullness toward my fans. It must have been a lot easier if had written the lyrics with nicely decorated words because I felt embrassed to express myself honestly. It took some courage to do so. It was the feeling I felt for the first time in my life. I didn't know in the beginning how hard it would be to write my honest feelings. It was the very first time last year that I realized how hard it was.
Interviewer:
On the first day of your fan meeting last year, you shed tears all along.
Yuchun:
At that time, I just couldn't controll my feelings because it was the first time in long while and I felt so sorry to fans who came to see me on stage. Even while I was waiting to go up to stage, I couldn't stop my tears and I couldn't see the audience side at all.
The light on stage...what can I say... when I was a freshman and went on stage for the first time, I just couldn't see anything before me.  Just like that at that time, I couldn't see anything but the light, only being able to hear the music resonating...  I knew my fans were all there, but couldn't see them, having no courage to see them...
I felt how bright the lights were  really for the first time in so long while. Being bathed in pure whilte light, my mind went completely (pure and) white.  It was the moment when I directly expressed my feeling so honestly.  Feeling sad, sorry, and thankful...my feet were all shaking...
Interviewer:
Have you felt any change before and after the fan meetings last year?
Yuchun:
After I did fan meetings...(thinking for a while)  the biggest change that occured to me is that I have become able to be very honest with my fans, and I have become not to decorate myself.  When you made a debut as a group, you are given a role and an image to play.  And if you work in the entertainment world with that image, it could become your own real character. But instead, the courage to show who I really am has been born.
Interviewer:
In the past what image did you want to show?
Yuchun:
I felt that I needed to look dandy at all times. When I was a member of the group, it worked ok because of the position allocated to each. But now that I'm on my own doing solo concerts, I cannot do with my fabricated image. I think the time has come when I need to show who I'm really am instead of thinking about what to make in my mind.
Interviewer:
When you are solo, you will be seen 360 degrees.
Yuchun:
I will feel shy but also am looking forward as well.
Interviwer:
During your fan meeting hall tour, you travelled across Japan. What do you remember most?
Yuchun:
In a local city, after the event, I want to a local driking place (Izakaya) with my manager and staff members.  It was just an ordinary izakaya where many company freshmen gathered. After tge concert, it started to rain suddenly and bought an umbrella at a convenience store. The rainy atmosphere was very nice and it was a special experience for me to walk outside.
Up until them, I didn't have room in my mind. But when I met with my fans, I had become able to relax myself. Up until then, whatever I ate, it was so tasteless. But at one moment I could taste something better and it was the moment whe I realized I had come to have some room to breathe and feel little by little. It was toward the end of my tour. It took quite some time.
[I realized there are people I can trust.]
Interviwer:
How have you being after you finished the hall tour last summer?
Yuchun:
I stayed at home most of the time. In between I went to office and did some work and was on diet. I needed to lose weight much faster but I couldn't. But still I was able to lose quite a bit. I've been taking half body bath and sweat.
Interviwer:
(You are doing) to do solo concerts?
Yuchun:
Yes. That's something I had needed to do, but I think I had made excuses.
Interviwer:
How do you spend time at home?
Yuchun:
I love watching movies. I watch them a lot. I experienced ups and downs of my feelings and emotions. While I felt relaxed myself by meeting with my fans at fan meetings, after events were over, I felt lonely alone... But as I started my preparations for my album and concerts,  I started to meet with many people for choreography and recordings, chatting with them and sometimes making jokes with them... All of those moments give me strength. I talked about it last week when I met with my staff members.
When I meet with people, I get energized.
Interviewer:
Any movie or drama you saw recently and remember well?
Yuchun:
I saw a Japanese anime "Ohkiku furikabutte," on baseball.
The main character is a poor talker, cries a lot everday, but has a greed as well. The character represents the typical instinctive feelings of people. He is almost irritably weak. But he gained a person(s) whom he can trust and feeling of trust spread around him.
By watching the anime, many feelings came to me.
Many Japanese animes are not just fun, but express honest feelings of people vividly.
Interviewer:
Does that mean you empathized with the anime and character?
Yuchun:
Yes, I felt in empathy with him. He realized he was not alone, realizing that he is surrounded by people. Just as if  a baseball is a sport to be played not alone, you cannot do concerts or prepare an album alone.
I went to eat Korean barbecue (samgyeopsal) with my manager last week. Eating barbecue and having small talks. I enjoy such things now. I didn't feel that way before at all.
Interviewer:
Because you are alway in spotlight, isnt' there any time when you want to be alone?
Yuchun:
Yes, definitely in the past. I still feel somewhat awkward when I'm in spotlight. I think that's because of my personality. But now I want to be with everyone, with my fans, not alone.
[This January, C-jes posted on its instagram Yuchun waiving his hands smilingly with "Happy New Year!" message and did live casting on weibo with Yuchun wearing a rabbit hat. Right after that, it opened up his YouTube official channel and started to make efforts on communicating with the world through SNS and short videos.]
Interviewer:
What do your fans mean to you?
Yuchun:
I saw the ad truck of "SLOW DANCE" on the streets in Tokyo posted by my fans on SNS. Because they believe in me so much, I feel that I have to prepare for the concerts earnestly.
In the past I didn't watch what were on Internet at all. Now I look at them one or twice a week because I think by knowing what fans are thinking, I can prepare myself well.
Interviewer:
By making your official YouTube channel and official fan club website, fans can now leave messages
Yuchun:
I want to do whatever I can and want to show whatever I can show them because I have been absent for quite sometime.  I want to show them my new self. I have written messages myself, not a big thing, like saying just "Anyohaseyo."
[JYJ Jaejoong announced his first solo album to be released in April and area tour as well. He actively appears on Japanese variety shows. Junse who finished his military service last November has come back to show biz and plans to hold his solo concerts in April.]

Interviewer:
Are you seeing Junsu and Jaejoong recently?
Yuchun:
I met Junsu recently. Jeajoong has been busy in Japan and it's been difficult to see him, but we talk from time to time.
Interviewer:
What are they saying about your concerts?
Yuchun:
Junsu saw the choreography of my album. Through his staff, I heard him watching the choreography and saying it's cool. I was happy to hear that.
Interviewer:
Many fans also want to see you acting in dramas and movies.
Yuchun:
I want to act. But on the other hand, I wonder if I can do it well now since I haven't done it for quite some time. But I want to do. I want to show how  I act as well.
Interviewer:
You have acted in a variety of genres such as love comedy like "Rooftop Prince," serious works like "Sea fog." What kind of roles do you want to try going forward?
Yuchun:
I wan to try all. I would act so differently if I try again. If I act "Songyungan Scandal" again, it would be completely different.
I want to play all the genres once again. Because I haven't done it yet, I don't know how they would end up, but I personally feel that my acting realms have been expanded.
Interviewer:
Apart from drams and concerts, what would you like to do?
Yuchun:
Apart from work? Oh, yes, I wan to go to the Universal Studios in Japan. My friend went there with his girlfriend and boasts it so much to me, saying that the parade was fabulous. I want to go to such places as well. I want to take trips to hot spas (onsen) and show the way I really am naturally. I didn't do such things in the past at all. I hated taking selfie but going forward I want to show my natural fgures as well.
Interviewer:
15 years since your debut. How do you feel looking back?
Yuchun:
Well, 15 years are not easily made. It was the 15 years all of the people made efforts to build. It was apparetly long. But...it was very short. It really was.
Interviewer:
What will you be in 15 years ahead?
Yuchun:
15 years later...I will be 49 years old.  There must be things I could do then. There must be actings and singings I could do in my 50s. It will be 30th anniversary since my debut. The other day, Japanese pop artist group "Arashi" marking 20th anniversay since their debut announced they will suspend their show biz activities. SMAP was disbanded and Arashi will suspend their activities. I felt disheartened, but by reading the news I also felt this way. Even after 15 years have passed, I want to show myself in good ways.
I feel as if I have made a fresh start again from the year one. If I made an analogy of soccer, it's like I have just started the second half of the game. After making a shoot, the opponet team hit a goal, and the game will start again from the tie score. In stead of being bound by the past 15 years, I want to move forward looking ahead the next 15 years. That's how I feel more now. I look foward to my paths going forward.
