Yoo Jae Suk and Kang Ho Dong are MC's of the best Variety Shows

Two of Korea's top MC's, Yoo Jae Suk and Kang Ho Dong, both host 3 of the highest rated variety shows that are currently broadcasting, which makes them the kings of variety shows.

Yoo Jae Suk has the greatest viewer ratings on Monday's, Thursday's, and Saturday's, while Kang Ho Dong has the greatest viewer ratings on Tuesday's, Wednesday's, and Sunday's.

Monday's have three variety shows that are currently broadcasting, KBS Global Talk Show hosted by Nam Hee Suk, MBC Come to Play hosted by Yoo Jae Suk, and 300 hosted by Shin Dong Yup. The 3 shows (300 is one hour before the other shows) have to battle to get the most ratings. The winner was Come to Play hosted by Yoo Jae Suk. It had a rating of 15%, which beat the other competitors. Global Talk Show had a rating of 10%, and because of MBC Queen Seon Duk's power, 300 could only get a low rating of 3%

Tuesday's have two variety shows. SBS Strong Heart is a new variety show hosted by Kang Ho Dong and Lee Seung Gi, which got a 17.3% rating on it's first episode, beating KBS Sang Sang Plus 2. Kang Ho Dong and Lee Seung Gi will most likely be the reigning champions on Tuesdays.

Wednesday's and Thursdays have two ruling shows. Golden Fishery hosted by Kang Ho Dong and Happy Together , hosted by Yoo Jae Suk beat out every other variety shows in the day.

The weekend is the most hardcore fight in the week.

Saturday's have the five year running champion MBC Infinity Challenge, which has between 13.8% and 19.7% of viewers watching every week. Other competing shows are KBS Invinsible Baseball and SBS Star King, which simply cannot defeat Infinity Challenge as of yet.

Sunday's have a head to head battle with KBS 1 Night 2 Days and SBS Family Outing hosted by Kang Ho Dong and Yoo Jae Suk. These two do not have one who always beat the other, because every week, the ratings always change. They both had hit 30% - 40% in viewer ratings, which makes them the most seen variety shows out of the whole week. Other shows are SBS Gold Miss is Coming and KBS Qualification of Men.

So with 6 days of the week with Kang Ho Dong and Yoo Jae Suk MCing, they each have 3 of the most top rated variety shows in Korea, and 1 head to head battle on Sundays.

Both of them have different styles of humor, which gains lots of attention from people all over Korea. They deserve to be the king of variety shows indeed.

Weekly Korean magazine, SiSa Journal, celebrated their 20th anniversary issue by working with 1,500 Korean media specialists to search for the top Korean entertainer! Out of 300 entertainers, Yoo Jae Suk was chosen as the number 1 man to lead other entertainers into the new generation!

The main reason MC Yoo came out on top was because of his ability to work and maintain more than 3 televised programs at once. Over the years, MC Yoo has been dubbed as the "Nation's MC" and also the top money making entertainer in MBC. Yoo Jae Suk is one of the top paid entertainers in Korea followed by fellow MC Kang Ho Dong and actor Bae Yong Joon .

The funny man has been praised by many for his witty and slapstick comedy, his bold crazy antics and his willingness to wear a skin tight spandex suit. It's not always a pretty image, in fact it never is, but it is definitely funny. Yoo Jae Suk won over other top nominees such as Park Jin Young (JYP), Yang Hyun Suk (YG), Bi (Rain), DBSK, and IRIS actor Lee Byung Hun. Although I'm not all too surprised. After all, if he has the courage to lead others to participate in disturbing parodies such as their redux of SNSD's "Gee" week after week, then he truly is #1.

How Much Does Yoo Jae Suk and Park Myung Soo Earn?

One of Korea's best MC's Yoo Jae Suk's total earnings from last year were revealed. Not only that, his one and only sidekick, Park Myung Soo's income was also revealed.

On the 11th, MBC's Broadcasting Cultural Promotion Foundation opened to the public how much Yoo Jae Suk made just from his MBC shows. From being on Infinity Challenge, Come to Play, etc. he made $943,600 last year.

From MBC, Yoo Jae Suk made $922,000.00 in 2007 and in 2006, he made $865,000.00. He sure took a leap in just two years.

Because of his SBS and KBS2 shows, his expected salary is much higher than just his MBC one.

Park Myung Soo made $840,000 last year. Not too shabby either. Other people such as Lee Hwi Jae made $570,000, Kim Won Hee made $543,000, and Kim Gura made $530,000.

KBS also revealed how much they have paid each for show and celebrity. Gag Concert was announced as the show with the highest profits. SBS has not yet revealed their statistics.

To me, this is a lot of money. But if we compare them to American celebrities, that's not much. I know the size of the market is completely different so it makes sense. But this makes me wonder how little those idol groups must make? I mean even the most famous idol group, TVXQ/DBSK has filed a complaint about their contract, I can only guess how little the other thousands of groups make.

I have a question I've been wanting answered for the longest time. People who follow Yoo Jae Suk obviously know him for his hilarity in variety shows and what not.

Well there is this one old variety show he cam out in that I have such fond memories of when I was a kid.

I forgot the name and was hoping someone can help me out here.

It basically goes like this, there like 5 or 6 guys and 1 celeb girl who is shown in the show. Of the men there is Yoo Jae Suk, Shin Jung Hwan, and that is all I remember. Basically what happens is they all sit at a dinner table facing forward and the girl is put in like a glass box to avoid getting splashed which I explain now. The men are given gestures and words, and what these are is that whenever the girl does the gesture or says the word, the man gets SPRAYED with water. It is hilarious. For example, Yoo Jae Suk has *touches her nose* and says *well....*, anytime the girl touches her nose or says well...., he is sprayed. Not just like sprayed, but they get jetted by water. It is a hilarious show. So I was hoping if anyone remembers, they can tell me what it is called. Ty in advance.

Yoo Jae Suk Is The Father Of A Baby Boy

We revealed earlier that Yoo Jae Suk was expecting his first baby with his wife Na Kyung Eun and now he is the proud father of a baby boy!

In a news release by Yoo Jae Suk’s agency on May 1st, it was revealed that Na Kyung Eun had successfully delivered a baby boy, weighing a healthy 3.4kg at 11.18am at a local hospital.

Infinity Challenge films their 2011 calendar

Infinity Challenge members Yoo Jae Suk, Park Myung Soo, Noh Hong Chul, Jung Jun Ha, Jung Hyung Don, Haha and Gil have recently debuted as “fashion models” for the upcoming July issue of Vogue Korea magazine.

This shooting followed the Infinity Challenge members who were filming for their program’s 2011 calendar, and being fashion models for a Vogue shoot was one of their many challenges. The concept was related to a “rainbow,” which was what Infinity Challenge requested. Therefore, the seven members each chose a color of the rainbow and showed off half-serious half-parody like poses so that audiences who are not familiar with the fashion world can also appreciate this shoot.

Noh Hong Chul was shown in a stunning red pants and transformed into “the boy who plays a flute” while Jung Joon Ha transformed into a character from an art piece. On the other hand, comedian Yoo Jae Suk chose the color yellow and showed off a sexy expression in order to portray the character Judith.

An affiliated individual stated, “During this 12 hours of shooting, the members took what little free time they had and sincerely answered our interview questions. These special Infinity Challenge pictorial will appear in the July edition of Vogue.”

Yoo Jae Suk to return to SBS Good Sunday

Last month, we reported that SBS and MBC, two of Korea’s top networking stations, were at war for one man: Yoo Jae Suk. After much negotiations, the nation’s MC and funny man is set to return to SBS’s Good Sunday.

So why all the fuss over one man? Well, he’s Yoo Jae flipping Suk. He was voted and awarded the top entertainer and #1 MC in all of Korea and the only man who is on a equal footing to him at the moment is Kang Ho Dong.

The network has revealed that Yoo Jae Suk will helm a new show in the Good Sunday program line-up. Though no details have been revealed about the show’s concept, Yoo Jae Suk is said to be a part of the regular cast and act as the main MC.

This will be his first return to a SBS program in almost 5 months after taking a hiatus from Family Outing earlier this year, to prepare for the arrival of his baby son.
