Taecyeon, member of K-pop boy group 2PM, has wrapped up shooting of his first big screen project, the film’s distributor said Wednesday.

Taecyeon’s debut film “Marriage Blue” cranked up last week after three months’ of shooting, according to the pic’s distributor Cinus Entertainment’s press release Wednesday.

In the romantic comedy about five soon-to-be-married couples’ marriage blues, Taecyeon takes on famous chef Won-chul, who is confused when his fiancée and nail artist Somi (Lee Yeon-hee) encounters web-cartoonist Gyeong-soo (Ju Ji-hoon).

Other notable cast members include Kim Kang-woo of TV series “Lovers of Haeundae,” Kim Hyo-jin of “Marry Me, Mary!,” Lee Hee-jun of “The Queen of Office” and Koh Joon-hee of “King of Ambition.”

After post-production, the star-studded romance film is slated to open in theaters in the second half of 2013.

Actress Lee Yeon Hee talked about her love scenes with 2PM’s Taecyeon in their upcoming movie ‘The Night Before The Wedding’.

On July 14th, the cast member for the movie ‘The Night Before The Wedding’ appeared as guests on MBC ‘Section TV’. During the interview, Lee Yeon Hee said, “I first met Taecyeon through this movie and there was a strong love scene. But the atmosphere was quite comfortable, because our age is same.”

She added, “Please look forward to it”, and left fans really looking forward to seeing it.

‘The Nights Before Wedding’ tells the stories of four engaged couples who go through pre-wedding traumas and many other events. In the film, Taecyeon will play Won Chul, a capable chef engaged to nail artist So Mi, played by actress Lee Yeon Hee.

Release Date Set For Taecyeon's First Film "The Night Before The Wedding

Love and marriage seem to be in the cards for 2PM's Ok Taecyeon but so far it's all on the small or the big screen. His character in the paranormal drama "Who Are You?" is falling in love with So E Hyun's character despite her ghostly visitors. And Taecyeon was already virtually married to Taiwanese singer Gui Gui in the reality show "We Got Married: Global Edition." Fans approved of their courting and marriage, boosting the show's international ratings.

Now a release date has been set for his first movie, "The Night Before The Wedding" in which he plays a groom-to-be. The film, also called "Marriage Blue," will be in theaters on Nov. 21. According to the distributor, C-Nus Entertainment, November was the best time to release the film.


"Instead of the end of the year, November is the best time to attract a large audience, especially couples," said a C-Nus representative.
Filming began in April and wrapped up at the end of June only weeks before the premiere of Taeyceon's drama "Who Are You?" The singer previously appeared in the dramas "Cinderella's Sister" and "Dream High," but this will be his first film appearance. In "The Night Before The Wedding," he plays a chef named Won Chul. His character is engaged to a nail artist, played by Lee Yeon Hee, who recently appeared as Lee Seung Gi's mom in "Gu Family Book."
"The Night Before The Wedding," which stars Kim Kang Woo, Kim Hyo Jin, Joo Ji Hoon, Ma Dong Suk, Lee Jee Hoon and Go Jun Hee, is a story about four couples and the difficulties they encounter in the week before their weddings.

"You might think that the film was inspired by 'Love Actually,'" said the C-Nus representative, but the difference is that in this film all four couples are connected to each other."

The characters played by Lee Yeon Hee and Taecyeon are set to marry when a webtoon artist, played by Joo Ji Hoon, comes between them. Taecyeon and Lee Yeon Hee did have some love scenes before her character's heart wavered. During filming she spoke about those love scenes.
"I first met Taecyeon through this movie and there was an intense love scene," said Lee. "But the atmosphere was quite comfortable because we are the same age."

Hong Ji Young, who directed Joo Ji Hoon as the accommodating husband in "Naked Kitchen," will direct this comedy.
