I am not sure I agree with your comment that the king was miscast.  I think the actor is doing a brilliant job and despite the numerous faults he has I like the King (even though I want to punch him).  Also historically there was a massive age difference between the King and CrazyEyedConcubine - not every king lookslike Ji Jin Hee or Bae So Bin!

True not every king was good looking, but this king is actually older than the real life counterpart.

I am just miffed that this drama, imo, lost a lot of steam and is now limping to the end

Hi..just new to this forum..im currently watching Cruel palace episode 41..Im trying to restrain my self from watching this ep till the english subbed one will come out..but i cant help it lol..since i only know jo gwi-in will be deposed, i wonder if she will be executed..and if that would happen,i wonder who will sentence her to death:the king,the queen or the crown prince or nam hyuk will kill her instead..im really excited hahaha..in the middle part of the series,it was like my first time for the devil to win lol..i really like when JGI makes those evil expressions ahahah..but i was kinda disappointed when she was ready to kill Nam hyuk for the second time..that was sooooo evil..but im still rooting for her lol..
