Yesterday Louise Lee, Ruco Chan, Priscilla Wong and Leung Ka Kei attended the promotional event for TVB new series Reality Check. This is Priscilla's first series with heavy screen time, she expressed she feels nervous and already urged her ex-colleagues from iCable to support her. She is also prepared to hear different comments from the audience when she goes out, "I think I can withstand it. When I was filming this series, many of my seniors were willing to teach me, like Louise and Ruco. They gave me a lot of space and I really thank them."

Louise revealed during the Chinese New Year holiday, she had relatives visit her every day. Although her daughter resides in Canada, there was still a lively atmosphere at her house. Louise also praised her daughter: "She's a lot smarter than me, she likes lively atmospheres. (Why don't you tell your daughter to get you grandchildren to play with?) That's difficult because she said she doesn't want children. (Do you feel disappointed?) I told her if you don't have kids now, you won't be able to when you get older. However, children are a gift from heaven, we'll see how it goes." When speaking of this new series, Louise plays a gambling mother, but in reality she has no interest in gambling. She frankly expressed she has a friend who is addicted to gambling and one time, the friend asked if she could borrow $500,000 for emergency, but Louise only lent $50,000 to her. "I already know I won't get the money back. I don't even know where she is now."

Yesterday Ruco Chan, Priscilla Wong, Louise Lee, Evergreen Mak and the rest of the cast of TVB series Reality Check attended the promotional event held at Diamond Hill. Evergreen gave his on-screen wife Meini Cheung a warm-hearted birthday kiss. Louise tried her best to match-make Ruco and Priscilla, no wonder they were had so much chemistry when playing the games and often flirted.

When the series first started, Priscilla got criticisms from the audience, but now she has a new title "Priscilla BB". However, Priscilla modestly said: "I dare not to look at the comments on the internet. I know I'm not pretty enough, don't have a good enough body figure and I'm not young enough. I definitely don't qualify to take the so-called 'Priscilla BB'. I just think Netizens are kind hearted." Priscilla expressed her acting still has room for improvement, but because she's been busy shooting a comedy series lately, she hasn't had time to take acting lessons.

During the games, Louise and Evergreen greatly praised Priscilla's good character and told Ruco to really consider her. Ruco was asked if there is a chance to develop a relationship with Priscilla? He said they chat often because sometimes it gets boring at work, that's all. He laughed: "They're just being nice. Priscilla and I are just colleagues. Right now, I would still choose my career first."

Also, Priscilla expressed during a radio interview that last week's ratings fell to 23 points. She said: "I'm not disappointed because the audience won't turn on the TV just because they want to watch me. There are already a lot more audience because of my former colleagues [from iCable], that's my profit." The host asked whether Priscilla has been named a goddess? She said: "I don't fit that title, don't have the qualities to be a goddess."

Award-winning Hong Kong actress Louise Lee revealed that family is not strictly dependent on blood ties, but is shaped through hard work such as interactions and communications between people.

According to Jayne Stars, Louise is currently starring in "Reality Check", where she plays the biological mother of Owen Cheung and the adopted mother of Ruco Chan. However, her relationship with her adopted son is better than her relationship with her biological son, which prompted reporters to ask her the question.

An example of the point that Louise made is her close relationship with her sister. Even though the two live far apart, they made efforts to go on vacations together. Louise is also happy that her daughter Leslie Yip is independent, never relying on her mother's celebrity connections and only needing her when she [Leslie] was divorced.

Louise elaborated, "For many years, I never had to worry about her. The only time she needed me by her side was when she was divorced. Now that she has remarried and the couple is happily working together at A1 Chinese Radio, I don't have to worry. She never asked me for a single cent."

Louise is also a mother to two non-human children, which are her adopted dogs, Milk Tea and Man Man. The two came to be when she was recuperating from cervical cancer a decade ago, to keep her company at home when her family was not there.

The ratings of Louise Lee's TVB series Reality Check has not been doing well and have been getting some negative news, such as the rumor that Priscilla Wong's second female lead role was only given to her because she got TVB executive Sandy Yu's back up support and Director Cheung Wing Ho's harsh treatment towards the artists. Yesterday Louise accepted CRHK's radio interview and frankly expressed serial's genre may not suit the audience's taste, but the people she knows are really enjoying the series. Asked how Louise feels about her co-star Priscilla? She said: "Priscilla is a very fresh, natural and different from other girls taking the mirror with them into the studio. She is punctual and listens to the director. (What about her acting?) If this is her first time, I would give her 90%. Her acting is quite natural. The comments from the public is unfair to her. She met the conditions and can 'arm wrestle' the other second female leads."

Louise first showed her support for Priscilla and then supported Director Cheung Wing Ho as well. She expressed she did not have any issues collaborating with the director. It is perhaps due to the fact that he insisted on following the filming procedures that caused intense pressure. After all, he stayed within the duties of a director.

TVB series Reality Check has been a low-rated series, but lead actor Ruco Chan supported the series has depth and the most important is the public response. Ruco loves trying new things, he hopes to participate in a science fiction series and already outlined a few scripts, but currently he'll just concentrate on being an actor first. Ruco's goal isn't to become TV King, he just hopes to shoot good series!

Recently TVB likes to use rape and 'skin revealing' scenes to boost the TV ratings, such as in Highs and Lows and Friendly Fire, both in which averaged 30 points. So far, throughout the Reality Check broadcast, the ratings had been quite low - dropping as low as 23 points. As the lead actor, Ruco does not feel defeated, but instead supported the series has a lot of depth. "Anybody likes to watch fun and explosive series because its entertainment worthy, but if we think about this series, it is actually reflecting the issues that happen in society. The success is not as important as the public response. As an artist, I hope to be part of a series with depth. (Audience has a bigger appetite?) Actually that is necessary, but TVB produces so many series, there is no way all series will be like this. Many people always criticize that we don't have enough educational shows, we have to cater to the tastes of all audience. Hong Kong audience take time to warm up, especially those who are used to something, it is not easy to just change. However, don't just withdraw from something just because the public doesn't agree to it. It's okay to keep on conveying the reality."

Wish to Shoot a Science Fiction Series

Ruco expressed he loves trying new things. Aside from his wish that his series has a message to convey, he also hopes to shoot more science fiction themed series, such as a 'Chinese vampire' ("geung see") series. "Nowadays, there are no longer series like A Chinese Ghost Story. The themes are too realistic. I believe we could produce some fantasy series that goes beyond reality. One of my wishes is to participate in one of these. (Do you want to shoot a series involving politics?) I also want to do something political, but have to see if the theme works or not. Actually, I already have 2-3 scripts on hand. (Turn to work behind-the-scenes?) I like it, but that's too far for me to think about. At present time, I still have a lot to learn and try as an actor."

Creativity is the Most Important

Ruco is an ATV turned TVB actor, he directly said he has more space than before, "Because a bigger company has better resources. There are a lot more audience watching and I get a lot more feedback. Then I know where I'm lacking and the areas still need improvement. (Want to compete for TV King?) I don't think about that stuff nor do I have a desire to become TV King. Even in the past when I was an athlete, I never thought of winning. I just do my best on my own part, prepare myself well and naturally I'm a winner. If I lose then so be it and if I win, then it's an honor. (Your goal is not to win an award?) My goal is not here. If you are a creative person, then you are not concerned about the awards. It's just like Tsui Hark and Ann Hui, (film directors) they aren't producing films because they want awards. What I have on my mind when filming is, to reflect or convey something. If the award lands in my hands, then I'll take it."
