Windows Media Movie Maker (?)

it crashes ALL THE TIME... help!

Okay so whenever I open it and upload some file... it crashes... saying that some error happeend.
I don't know what's wrong with it. It does that all the time.
But I can like cut music... but videos.. or anything involved with videos makes it crash and there's nothing wrong with the videos/files.
and one time that problem stopped... I have no idea how.
and well my dad had to restore my computer cause I got some virus or something.. so then my movie maker went back to the way it was.
and WMM is pretty useful, and I really want to use it.
Is there a reason why my moviemake does that?

Oh yes please! This happens to me all the time as well! I don't understand why though. It used to work just fine.

Is there an error message, and if so, what does it say? Otherwise it's just slow. It takes agges to import a video into it, especially if it's a big one. And so I don't use it for big files (say, 50+mb?), which is generally any video

I don't use Windows Movie Maker at all but I suggest you read this site. http://www.papajohn.org/ No it's not a site for Papa John's pizza. It's a site with helpful stuff on how to troubleshoot Movie Maker problems.
