Various ways the cast and crew of KBS Drama “Jeon Woo Chi” beat the cold have been revealed.

Cha Tae Hyun, UEE, Lee Hee Joon, Baek Jin Hee, Kim Kap Soo, Kim Byung Se etc. all play characters full of impact in the KBS drama. Cha Tae Hyun, UEE and Baek Jin Hee are the “Robin Hoods” of the Chosun Dynasty, fighting corruption and trying to do good. Meanwhile, Lee Hee Joon, Kim Kap Soo and Kim Byung Se are their archenemies doing evil in order to have power. There’s also a side plot involving Joo Yeon and Hong Jong Hyun where romance is in play.

Through the passion and hard work of the actors, Jeon Woo Chi has recorded #1 in viewer’s ratings for the time slot and has been steadily raising its figures. The reason why the drama is gaining more interest and love from the audience is through the actors and staff who have been beating the cold to create the best possible scene.

Seven actors are shown trying to beat the cold through various methods. It shows the actors have become experts at fighting the cold through the three months they have been filming together.

[WED/THU Drama Jeon Woo Chi] Various Ways to Beat the Cold on Set

Cha Tae Hyun has been playing two characters as Jeon Woo Chi and Ee Chi. As he is the main character leading the drama, he has a lot of lines to say. So, Cha’s main focus is to keep his lips from freezing up in the cold. Also, if filming becomes delayed due to heavy snowfall, Cha is shown wearing a thick jacket with a hat and gloves and practicing his lines. Cha has become adept at keeping himself warm on set through years of experience on set of period dramas, so he has been teaching his know-how to fellow actors around him, allowing them to focus more on their acting.

Lee Hee Joon has been shown holding hot packs in both of his hands and trying to melt his frozen cheeks and hands at the same time. He also wears thick padding jackets to keep the cold winds from reaching him. UEE also wears many layers of thin clothes inside her hanbok, and wears a muff to keep her hands warm. She also tries to stay close to the fire to keep her lips from freezing.

Actress Baek Jin Hee, who especially dislikes the cold, and Kim Kap Soo are constantly standing by a mini furnace to keep themselves warm while Kim Byung Se is shown wearing a thick padding jacket and standing where there is sunlight to catch some warmth. Joo Yeon is also shown wrapped around with a thick blanket to beat the cold.

A related official said, ‘The extreme cold has died down a bit, but the set is still cold. We were worried that the actors would have trouble fighting the cold, but they seem to be enjoying themselves, fighting the cold and trudging on.”

In last week’s episode, the king (played by Ahn Young Joon) has realized that So Chil (played by Lee Jae Yong) is a loyal servant, raising curiosity as to what will happen next. To find out, tune into “Jeon Woo Chi” every Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 p.m. on KBS 2TV.
