Synopsis:

MA FU (Lau Dan), a retired employee of the HK Correctional Services Department, moved back to live with his son after retirement. MA FU treats and disciplines everyone in his family as if they were the offenders he works with in his job. His youngest son MA CHONG (Chris Lai) feels like he's in jail when he gets home, and his father is even often involved with his job as a paralegal. The father and son get into disputes daily and his elder brother MA KEUNG (Tsui Wing) and his wife LO LAI SEUNG (Yvonne Lam) are often stuck in between and have to settle the disputes. The couple also holds the heavy responsibility of raising their kids. Three generations in the MA family all live together and encounter different situations, experiences and system of values.

TVB sitcom Come Home Love cast members Chris Lai, Queenie Chu, Lau Dan, Florence Kwok and Joey Law attended the promotional event yesterday. It was announced that there will be another 120 episodes added to the sitcom (initially 180 episodes), making it a grand total of 300 episodes.

It was reported Florence Kwok has been 'seeing' Joey Law, but Florence laughed loudly when she heard about the rumor: "It's a 42 year old with a 24 year old, that feels like 'Arabian Nights', such a joke! But, I really do love him, he's so well-behaved. You all shouldn't have too many delusions, and I'm sure he's never been delusional either. I'm not some young lady (referring to Joey's ex-girlfriend Christine Kuo) , so I'm definitely going to be fine!"

Joey also laughed and denied the rumor. He expressed Florence is a very good person and when he finds something he doesn't understand at work, she's willing to give him advice. As for the pictures published on the report, it was when he conveniently dropped Florence home.

TVB sitcom, "Come Home Love" has recently announced that it will be extended to 300 episodes from its original 180, and revealed that actress Oceane Zhu, who makes cameo appearances as the ex-girlfriend of Lai Lok Yi's character, has been upgraded to become one of the permanent cast.

Popular Asians reported that it was rumoured that Oceane's sudden promotion was caused by actress Queenie Chu, who reportedly upset the cast members during filming with her many opinions, causing her screen time to be cut down.

When asked about her permanent casting, Oceane said, "I was offered a cameo role as Lai Lok Yi's ex-girlfriend initially. In the drama, we met in the firm while dealing with divorce. But maybe the producer thinks our characters are well received by the audience, and thus decided to add me in again. I think the plot will focus on our relationship."

Regarding Queenie's rumoured issue on set and her supposed decreased screen time, Oceane stated, "I don't think so. Her scenes usually take place in the lawyer's firm, so my scenes don't really have much to do with hers."

TVB has been slammed for recycling again, this time for scheduling its time slot that resulted in Oceane Zhu's three dramas being aired back to back in one night, sparking off a discussion about TVB's lack of supporting actors.

According to Popular Asians website, TVB's prime time slot usually contains the broadcast of three local television dramas that air in a row – the first line is reserved for family-friendly sitcoms; the second for regular serials; while the third for PG rated programmes.

However, as a result of this arrangement, Oceane Zhu, who is currently starring in all three lines, is now the most-watched face on TVB at the moment. The actress, who was renewed to a series regular in the first line sitcom, "Come Home Love" since late 2012, also stars in second line serial, "Sergeant Tabloid" with Niki Chow and PG rated drama, "A Great Way to Care 2", which premiered since last week.

Consequently, viewers are complaining that the actress' recurrences only caused confusion to which character belongs to what drama.

However, this is not the first time TVB has been caught reusing the same actors in their dramas over and over again. Two years ago, veteran Hong Kong actor Law Lok Lam made it to the international news when he died in five different television dramas that aired in a 24-hour period, while earlier this year, veteran actress Mary Hon's characters in both "Friendly Fire" and "Missing You" were broadcast on the same days, sharing the same story arc that dealt with her reuniting with her sons.

This drama started off with interesting issues related to family, personal development, career, morals, ethics, etc.  Since it was so well received, there were multiple extensions.  Now, it's been extended to 700 episodes.

But, up to this point, the 'brats', i.e. Angel, Tracy and the sister of the coffee house owner, are still as bratty as when they first appeared in the drama.  The three females are immature, spoil and selfish.   Although John Ma is a bit immature and too flippant, at least, he's not spoil or selfish.

What is really disturbing is how all their friends, colleagues and family members cater to them and enable them to continue acting like brats.

I hope the writer writes in more character development for these three.
