아무나 들어올 수 없는 응석의 레스토랑을 제 집 드나들 듯 하는 구미진과 계속 마주치게 되면서 사랑의 감정이 싹트고 이 세상에 목숨과도 바꿀 수 있는 사랑이 있다는 것을 죽기 직전에 알게 해 준 구미진에게 고마움을 느낀다.

The hot, hot, hot manager of an exclusive restaurant named Last. He works with his hyung, Chef Pierre Seo, and is very picky about his clientele. He chooses the clients and the menu. He doesn’t give out reservations easily. His belief is that Last should provide a beautiful memory for those who dine there.

From what I’ve seen of the first episode, he is quite the romantic but he’s also extremely gun-shy with women. Chef Seo says Eung-suk won’t even let them near him.

Eung-suk has a very sensitive palette and is a help to his hyung in the kitchen.

His doppelganger is the Gu Mi-jin’s deceased husband from the Goryeo Dynasty.

하지만 문제는 그 기간 안에 남자의 간 천개를 먹어야만 사람이 된다는 것.
자신을 진정으로 사랑하는 남자가 주는 간만을 먹겠다는 철칙을 세우고, 지금껏 999개의 간을 먹게 된 것이다.

 

그런데 구미진을 사랑해서 간을 주겠다는 한 남자, 김응석 또한 시한부 인생을 살고 있는 인간이다.
드디어 마지막 하나의 간을 먹고 인간이 될 수 있는 기회가 왔지만, 구미진은 고민하게 된다. 
남자와의 사랑을 통해서 한 번도 느껴보지 못한 사랑의 감정을 알게 된 것이다.

The only gumiho in her family who hasn’t yet become human. She needs to eat one more man’s liver in one hundred days. If she does, she becomes human. If she doesn’t, she becomes foam.

Unlike her mother, Gu Mi-sun, and younger sister, Gu Mi-mo, Mi-jin needs for the men who die for her to actually love her and give up their livers voluntarily.

구미호였던 시절, 인간이 만물을 지배하는 존재인 것을 보고, 지배자의
위치에 오르고 싶어 인간이 되었다.
하지만 막상 인간이 되고 보니, 여자가 남자의 지배를 받는 구조가
되어 있어 결국은 권력과 돈으로 인간을 지배하기로 결심한다. 
겉으로 보기엔 쿨하고, 시원시원한 스타일로 모든 남자 위에 군림하는 스타일.
인생을 맘껏 즐기고, 남자를 원하는 대로 가지고 놀 수 있지만 정작 내면으로는 가장 외롭다.

Lee Chun Hee to Star in MBC’s ‘One Thousandth Man’

Lee Chun Hee has been cast for MBC’s Friday drama  One Thousandth Man.
Lee Chun Hee will be appearing in One Thousandth Man as Kim Eung Seok, a man who′s perfect in every aspect, except for the fact that his days are numbered. He was brought up fairly well and even owns a restaurant, but is given only three more months to live.




One Thousandth Man is about how a gumiho (fox with nine tails) that can only become human after eating 1,000 livers from men tries to get her thousandth liver from a man she truly loves.

The gumiho will be played by Gang Yewon, and Lee Chun Hee will be the man she loves.

A rep for the drama’s producers said, “One Thousandth Man is MBC’s first Friday drama in seven years since its Best Theater in 2005. We expect Lee Chun Hee’s strong acting to cause a great synergy with the drama. For those viewers who only knew about Lee Chun Hee’s easygoing personality, this will be a chance to get to know the colder side of him.”

Lee Chun Hee is currently filming the third season of KBS2’s drama special You’re Amusing. One Thousandth Man will start up sometime in August.

T-ara member Hyomin has been cast in the lead role in the MBC Friday 8-episode drama "One Thousandth Man".

On June 14th, rumors spread that Hyomin was cast as the lead role alongside Kang Yewon in "One Thousandth Man".

Hyomin's agency said, "MBC said that 'the drama cast could change, so it was not confirmed by themselves already.' They don't know how the rumors made it out that Hyomin was cast as the lead character, but the rumors are correct."

However, Kang Yewon's agency commented, "The final status of the casting is not 100% and we'll announce soon the final decision."

Koo Mi Jin must devour the livers of a thousand men to finally become human and comes to meet and fall in love with Kim Eung Seok after having already consumed the livers of 999 men. 




Following the successful first shooting for the drama, Lee Chun Hee shared, “From the first day of filming, the teamwork between the actors was great which led to the filming being quite fun. I’ve done a lot of different work but this drama, from its synopsis, has been very fresh.” 

One Thousandth Man will premiere on MBC in mid-August.

Lee Min Ki visited The Thousandth Man filming set to support his friends ~~~ He and Chunhee are known to be bff for years already. So sweet <3 And he is close with Kang Ye Won too since they acted with each other in few projects ~~I wish he could make a small cameo in the drama ^v^

"The Thousandth Man" Seo Kyeong-seok first act in 7 years

Seo Kyeong-seok is coming back for the first time in 7 years as a cook in the MBC fantasy sitcom "The Thousandth Man".

Seo Kyeong-seok plays himself as a chef in a restaurant run by Kim Eung-seok who is his junior from the French school they went to together.

Seo Kyeong-seok took his first scene on the 3rd of July at the main restaurant and he said, "I was nervous as it's been a long time. I got pointers from Kim Kap-soo yesterday. The atmosphere is really good and I think it's good that I can be nervous and scared".

"Before I got married I used to make egg rolls or fried rice for my co-workers or managers. I don't cook now but sometimes I make special meals for my pregnant wife".

Meanwhile, "The Thousandth Man" is an omnibus drama about a gumiho who looks for the first liver to become a human.
