innasalvatore
AOA’s Seolhyun Asks Shinhwa’s Eric What It’s Like To Be Married A. P September 16, 2017 On the September 15 broadcast of tvN’s “Three Meals a Day,” AOA’s Seolhyun asked the singer and actor Eric what it’s like to be married. Although it was awkward at first because she didn’t know any of the cast, she melted into the atmosphere of the show naturally as time passed. Seolhyun boldly asked Eric on the way back home after working on the island, “Do you like being married?” No one on the show had asked the direct question before. At that, Eric answered, “I don’t see much of a difference.” He added, “When we were just dating, my wife had a curfew of midnight. That’s gone now, so I like that. We had the curfew for five years and it’s nice that it’s gone.” He said about his wife Na Hye Mi, “She was more like a best friend to me than a girlfriend. I feel comfortable with her and like it that way.” Through this honest talk, Eric and Seolhyun became closer and began to bond more over the rest of the episode. innasalvatore
Here’s What Fan Taken Idol Photos Looked Like In The 90’s Fan-taken film camera photos of Shinhwa in the 90’s have popped online up, and fans are reminiscing at how they used to capture their favorite idols back in the day. Taking high-quality photos of your favorite idol is now incredibly easy with a good DSLR and compatible lens, but in the 90’s, fans had to rely on something far more difficult – film cameras. The quality of these photos was quite often very grainy if taken in the dark and the flash would degrade the amount of detail in the photos, or even make the photos blurry. Also, the date and time of when the photo was taken were always embedded into the film in the bottom right corner which often looked unsightly on the image. Despite the low quality, fans still took photos of idols with these film cameras as it was the only way to capture the memories of seeing their favorite idols in the flesh. Check out some of these film camera photos of Shinhwa taken in the late 90’s! Eric’s short spiky hair and thick chain was a trendy look in the 90’s. Shin Hyesung’s sharp profile and clear complexion are visible even in low-quality film camera photos. Junjin looks so young in this photo! innasalvatore
Old articles.. Question: An 8 year old child dancing with such skill, weren't your parents worried? JunJin: At that time, I didn't have people to worry about me. Kang Ho Dong: What? JunJin: I didn't have parents at home. Kang Ho Dong: But you have parents. JunJin: When I was born, I was raised by my grandmother. (In Korean, it's explained differently.) Kang Ho Dong: What do you mean by that? JunJin: As soon as my real mother had me, due to the opposition from her side of the family, she left us. (He revealed her side of the family didn't want her to live in the condition that his father and grandmother was in. Meaning, they weren't well off.) Kang Ho Dong: Oh. (The mood beginning to pour in with sorrow and tense.) JunJin: So, I lived with my grandmother. Kang Ho Dong: And your father? JunJin: My father sent money to my grandmother for daily use and barely came to visit. And during elementary school [4th grade], I met my second mother. Once she came along, I always thought oh I have to go to my grandmothers. It didn't sink in that I had a new mother. When I was in middle school [6th grade], one day my father gave me a beeper. Whenever it beeped, I would run to wherever my dad told me to go. I would run as fast as I can as if I was in love or something. I would receive my weekly allowance from my father and then go to this same restaurant and ate squid mixed with rice watching the daily news on TV for three straight years. When it came to lunch time at school, I didn't have any food. I would end up asking for some food from my friends. I would end up eating from a lot of my friends but I would still be hungry. At that age, I understood the true meaning of home made food. I've never said "Mom, make me food," once in my whole life. Even to my new mother, I couldn't say it directly to her. I don't know if I'm senseless or not but when friends would disrespect or negative attitude their own mothers, I would get angry and tell them don't do that to your parents. What kind of act is that? I don't even have....... Kang Ho Dong: During those hard times, do you think your love for dance relieved your stress? JunJin: Of course. Whenever my friends went to go outside and play, I would practice dancing. My passion for dancing was really strong and sometimes I think that's why I ended up in Shinhwa. I also end up thinking because I was practicing dance nonstop at the time, I can still dance powerfully at age 29. Kang Ho Dong: How do you overcome your fears? JunJin: Whenever I go through hard times, I always think about my grandmother. Knowing that my grandmother isn't alive just pains me. I don't even want to think about it one bit. When I entered elementary school, the class went on a field trip. All the mothers came along and ate kim bab. But I sat alone and would join other friends and their mothers to eat. My grandmother at the time couldn't walk properly. She took an expensive bus all the way down and walked all the way up to the mountain where we were. Simply to give me some kim bab, she came all the way here. For some reason, I didn't like what she did. Everyone came with their mothers. Even though my grandmother was sick, she came all the way here and I thought people would look at me badly and point at me. I told my grandmother to just go and she was crying as she went down. After three hours, I went back down and I saw my grandmothers eyes very red knowing that she cried a lot. Honestly, it isn't a life that my grandmother wanted. It's not even a life that I expected either. To this day, that moment was such a crush to my heart. Kang Ho Dong: Is your spot for you mother still open? Or is it closed? JunJin: It would be a lie if I said it was all gone. A lot of is gone though. But, my new mother is my best friend. It was really hard to call her mother. That's why my father told me to call her mommy instead in a joking way. I couldn't seem to directly add mother in every sentence when I spoke to her. "Are you sick?" "Did you eat dinner yet?" When I was 24, my new mother helped me find my real mother. When I met her, it was like a scene from a movie. It would have been awkward if I went alone so I brought a friend along....
