I wonder too.. but the other 2 leads are not promoting the drama yet too. Hopefully they will start promoting nearer the broadcast date..

Actually most of this older stuff has been posted in earliest pages. I thought one of the greatest JH fan like you would've read all of pages in this thread. You can find many hidden gem there as well as in threads of his older dramas.

 But he usually starts posting spoilers, BTS, teasers etc months before the premiere of his dramas. His co-stars have nothing to do with his usual behaviour.

It's surprising that it's been almost three months since his last update.

@azureblue7 thank you for all the links to the blog + that video! The actress probably really fell in love there for a moment haha. I too wish I had known him earlier, and when he was still active in traveling to various places for fan meetings/acting beyond Japan.

Yeah, hope everything is actually ok with him... Looking back at all his works he seemed to always keep himself busy and was always out and about. Maybe he just wants to keep it low profile this year and spend more quality time with his family. With the upcoming Lala TV fan meeting, let’s hope that fans who attend will be able to share some insights on how he’s been! And I really hope that for all the future promos for My Country, the TV interviews will involve him too and not just the 3 other leads.

It's surprising that it's been almost three months since his last update.

Not my first time reading the blog but like Prettysup, I wished I had known him earlier too. There are indeed plenty of hidden gems in the older threads. 

 

And now that you mentioned how he usually released his own spoilers...it is indeed unusual. Hopefully it is not because he is quitting social media like how he gave up smoking and drinking instant coffee for his kids..

Most of his earlier works were live-filmed dramas, this is the first time he is participating in a pre-produced drama, so I dont think they are allowed to post spoilers, teasers so far ahead.

 

But then true, he has really been less active on social media for the past few months, in fact he has cleared his Chinese weibo account too. Not sure the reason why, but anyway we still get snippets of him boxing in the gym and eating out with his kids etc so I guess there is nothing wrong with him physically. Perhaps he really has gotten sick of playing with the social media. Whatever the case, we just have to get used like back to the old days which he did not have a instagram account.

Actually I am not surprised if he quit on social media. I think, as his children grow, he will become even more low profile.

 

If you read page 602 of this forum, he said that he cut down filming time so that he can spend time with his children.

 

(Could it be) his boys are fast approaching teenage phase. It is challenging to parent teenagers, more so 2 (to be) teenage boys. It can be overwhelming for his wife to do parenting alone now. A father figure is definitely needed. 

 

And if any of his sons be like JH, who watched porn at aged 12 or 14, it's gonna be soon that junior JH will start soon too...haha! Infact son #1 is 12 years old this year (k age)  Can't imagine what will papa do...?? Mummy will freak out  I guess. 

 

Oh btw, I watched the Official Trailer 1 and 2 of My Country. Sad + upset, his part is so little
