Riiiiggghhhhtttt??? I think his hips definitely don’t lie! He has what it takes, a certain grace and personality even, and sex appeal. I even like his moves better than the instructor’s (but that could be love talking again ) Ok now, let’s make him do a dancing drama.

That's what I also thought- That he moved better than the instructor! :) Look at how his foot is pointed when he lifts his leg- his position looked better. Dancing drama? Something like "Shall We Dance?"? That's an interesting idea...

P.S Dance of the dragon is a very bad movie (cringeworthy story) but its worth watching once, for a JH fan, cause he is soooo sweet and cute in it, his moves are sensual (although they could’ve shown more of his feet, based on this rehearsal video) and he speaks english with a sweet sweet accent thats also very sexy.

I guess it embarrassed me to watch it :) Also it doesn't help that I know that JH was so stressed during the shooting of that movie that he had panic attacks... I might try and watch, just for JH...

Notice how wiry his arms look here- JH is very slim these days...

Not meaning to offend but I do find him too slim too. I still prefer him to have some meat. He doesn't look as nice as before being too slim. He looked good when his size was LG, LYO & PJ.

That's very good for someone who usually doesn't dance!

I think he only doesn't dance in public but I think he knows how to dance. His wife was a dancer. Surely they would have danced together & practiced steps together for his this movie or when wifey needed a dance partner. Hahaha!

Ji Seung-hyun posted the support truck JH sent to Team Bulldog's filming.

They acted together in Ordinary Person, Swordsman and My Country.

Saw these pics of them together. I love how in the second pic, most the other guys give such a joyful expression, obviously drunk, while JH gives his parted lips sultry look :) , but it's clear he's also been drinking as he's red

I think it was in that Win Win program? I vaguely recall he had long hair. I think one of the hosts (the younger one) is also from Busan so they both talked in “Busan” (but I might be remembering everything all wrong)

Yes, he spoke in Busan dialect then. I think he also did that for Tazza.

I agree. There some pics of him that some seem to like  but I don't since I think he is too thin in those pics. Here I think he's too thin, though I like this picture better than the other pic they use from this shoot-

Ok I must watch it. @azureblue7 do you happen to have a short clip in your treasure trove of IG clips of JH? otherwise I’ll just watch the whole interview but it’s so long so I thought I’d ask haha.

Lol, I didn't have it in my collection. But you can watch it here, after the 2-min mark onwards.

A somewhat interesting interview with the writer of "My Country". In the third slide he talks about Bang won and JH. Looks like, as suspected, Bang Won was designed after the writer had long conversations with JH. The observation that BW must have been very lonely came from JH. A pity JH didn't speak to him about the rest of the script...

Wow! He said JH's knowledge as good as that of a historian. Hyuk must have read up a lot for his role since lust of empire. I think he had wanted to show that side of Bang won but couldn't do so in the movie. That's why he had this long conversation with the writer to get his point through. His determination is admirable!

My problem is that the writer himself didn't have a similar knowledge of the story he's writing. The same thing happened in Chuno, when the production people admitted that JH did more research than them. This is very telling about their professionalism, and why I'm not a kdrama fan... I will say it again- I wish JH will start writing, or at the very least, get more involved with the script writing.

Thank you so much! Ok it sounded quite light to me. Not sure if it’s just me but I heard Busan dialect in other shows (even the one Mi Young spoke in FTLY) and JH’s one doesn’t seem as prominent. Wonder if it’s just his way of speech (Pronunciation) that sometimes lacks clarity or he lost the accent abit.

Well there is the story of him endlessly practicing pronunciation with a pen in his mouth, so I guess this is what he was working on. For me- it's very difficult to notice dialects in Korean. My Korean is still too bad to be able to discern that...

Very interesting! Also, this writer loves drinking (explains a lot ) and we also confirmed that there are main writers and assistant writers.

And yes Jang Hyuk rocks and I miss him

@azureblue7 He might be a history buff in general. Remember that variety show where they travelled to Mongolia and they showed him giving an impromptu long winded lecture about Gengis Khan? Lol :P They fast forwarded him and all (I wanted to listen to the lecture from professor Jang *sigh*)

I think I hear the difference- it sounds more guttural, maybe less refined? It seems that "normal" korean that we hear in Kdramas has a sing-songy feel, kinda cute. The busan dialect doesn't sound as cute.

Whenever I see clips from that Win-win interview, it always saddens me that we don't have the entire thing translated... That and the one from the Guru show

OK, so I finally saw Empire of lust, and, to my surprise, I liked it :) I was surprised that in actuality the lead of the movie was the woman, not the general. The plot surrounding her was cool, if brutal. She was the most complex of the characters. I think the promotion of the movie was misleading as it concentrated on the three guys, instead of her. I guess because they were much bigger actors than her.

The weakness of the movie was the general. That guy was a complete idiot, if a kind one. He essentially did whatever he was being told, no sophistication to him at all. The only thing about him is that he was kind to the woman, which is why she fell in love with him. That's it. He's just the love interest, nothing more.

I thought the soft-core porn sex scenes were completely redundant. They could have conveyed their love to us in a more moderate and maybe prettier way. There should have been more sweetness, less acrobatics .

As to JH- I ended up liking his acting. It was a very different BW than in MC, but it was good. At first I didn't get his giggly voice, but as the movie progressed, I got it. A very subtle portrayal, especially in those scenes in which he switched from the giggly guy to his real character. I really loved his acting in the horse killing scene, as horrifying as it was, and the fight scene near the end. JH in action is great. and finally, the short scene of BW going to his father with tears in his eyes, showed how the movie held JH back. JH injected so much emotion into that short scene, that it changed it's meaning, But clearly the interactions with the father weren't satisfying. I guess they didn't have time for plot, after all those sex scenes...<_< I completely understand why JH wanted to explore the relationship with BW's dad...

In short- I liked EOL, though it could have been better had the focus was different
