After about 10 years of marriage, one of the most representative Korean entertainment couples, Yeon Jung-hoon and Han Ga-in, are expecting their first child.
According to reports, Han is indeed pregnant, but the couple have been keeping the happy news as under the radar as possible, due to the tragedy of the Sewol ferry incident. 
Han's agency BH Entertainment, also cautiously confirmed the news although they admitted even the management wasn't sure about how far along in her pregnancy she was. 
Yeon and Han first met through the 2003 drama "Yellow Hankerchief" and ended up dating for two years before tying the knot in 2005.

Han Ga In and Yeon Jeong Hun are finally expecting a baby after nine years of marriage. 
BH Entertainment, Han Ga In’s agency, announced on April 21, “Han Ga In is seven weeks into pregnancy. She is currently pouring efforts into prenatal education and taking care of her health.”


The Han Ga In and Yeon Jeong Hun couple was happy to finally expect a baby in the tenth year of their marriage but only announced the news to their family and relatives, due to the country current grieving the sunken Sewol ferry.
Yeon Jeong Hun had said previously in 2012, “We decided to make a baby in 2013 so the baby can be born in the year of the horse the following year, just like me. Han Ga In wanted to have her representative projects before becoming a mom. We decided to have a baby after her drama The Sun and the Moon and the movie Architecture 101 became successful.”
Meanwhile, Han Ga In and Yeon Jeong Jun became a couple after starring in the same drama in 2003 and got married in April 2005.

1st baby for celebrity couple

Celebrity couple Yeon Jung-hoon and Han Ga-in will soon become parents, nine years after getting married, according to local reports yesterday. 
“We are very cautious about telling the news because of the deep grief the nation is under,” said Yeon’s agency, All Round Entertainment. 
“Yeon also said that he doesn’t want to make a fuss out of the news and will just celebrate it quietly with his family.”
Local media reported that nothing more is known about the baby except that Han is seven months along. 
The couple, who met in 2003 through the KBS drama “Yellow Handkerchief,” tied the knot in 2005 after two years of dating. 
Han, whose latest project was the movie “Architect 101” in 2012, is said to be focused on her prenatal education and Yeon is preparing for his next TV series.

Actress Han Ga-in, 32, and her husband, actor Yeon Jung-hoon, 36, are expecting their first child after 9 years of marriage.
“Han Ga-in is currently pregnant. Yeon is very happy, because it’s their first child after years of marriage,” Han’s agency BH Entertainment said in a statment on Monday. “However, as the nation is in grief over the ferry disaster, the couple notified only their families and relatives of the pregnancy.”
According to the agency, “Han will be focusing on prenatal care for the time being.”
Han and Yeon started dating when they starred in the 2003 KBS 1TV drama “Yellow Handkerchief,” and married two years later.

Yeon Jung Hoon says, “My wife said to me, ‘At first it seemed like he was a nice guy pretending to be bad, but then after the tenth episode he was really a wicked guy.” His wife is of course none other than actress Han Ga In!

He comments, “When I was acting, I think I really got into the character of Seok Hoon.” He adds, “I didn’t want any feelings of pity, I just wanted to show complete and total evil.”

Kim and actress Han Ga-in acted as a fictional Joseon king and his first love in “Moon Embracing the Sun (2012).” The hypothetical period drama shows intimate sides of royalties risking the odds for love. Kim and Han are separated in their youth due to unfavorable political circumstances but are reunited afterward as king and his patron shaman. Han suffers from memory loss but eventually the two reignite their past love and brings the show to a happy-ending. The series marked an impressive 42.2 percent viewership rate.

Kakao to Invest in Talent Agencies

Kakao M, a subsidiary of dotcom giant Kakao, is taking steps to buy three entertainment management agencies.

 

Kakao already owns Melon, Korea's No. 1 online music-streaming site.

 

Kakao M said Wednesday it will buy a stake in BH Entertainment, which has among its stable of actors Lee Byung-hun, Ko Soo, Yoo Ji-tae and Han Ga-in. It will also acquire a partial stake in J,Wide Company, which manages Lee Sang-yoon and Daniel Choi. It did not say how much it is paying. 

 

It also signed a strategic tie-up agreement with Soop Entertainment which manages actors like Gong Yoo, Kong Hyo-jin and Jeon Do-yeon.

 

The move is aimed at tapping into the resurgent Korean Wave and using the entertainment business as a bridge to access overseas markets.

 

Kakao M plans to spin off its contents business into a separate unit. Lee Jae-wook, head of Kakao M, said, "We will take the new unit public next year."
