Since Ji Sung works at the Defense Agency for Public Information Services, a special promotion unit under the Ministry of Defense, as one of the "entertainment soldiers," he fulfills various duties to promote the public perception of the military service and boost the morale of soldiers. On Oct 20th, he attended one of those orientation events welcoming new draftees enlisting in the military, which he talked about his own life in the military service and was greeting and signing autographs for them.
