*** Jeon Mi Do has talked about her upcoming drama “Connection” and also mentioned Ji Sung. “Unlike my previous dramas, which were mainly shot on set, ‘Connection’ was shot in a different environment, so it felt a little bit unfamiliar. It was both a challenge and a pleasure.” She added, “There were a lot of action scenes, fire scenes, and chase scenes due to the nature of the genre, and I was worried because it was my first time doing these kinds of scenes. However, I was able to complete filming without any problems thanks to the guidance of veteran actor Ji Sung.” Talking about her co-star Ji Sung, Jeon Mi Do shared, “At first, I thought of Ji Sung as a senior actor who would be difficult to approach. However, as we worked together on set, I found him to be incredibly pure and warm-hearted, to the point where I wanted to tease him. He is also very considerate, and there were many times I was touched by his kindness on set.” She added, “The atmosphere on set was so good that I even wanted to go to the set on days when we weren’t filming.” Jeon Mi Do plays as Oh Yoon Jin, an opinionated and outspoken reporter in the social affairs department of Anhyun Economic Daily in the drama. “Connection” will premiere on May 24 at 10 p.m. KST.

*** This was one of the more chaotic trailers I think I’ve ever seen. The teaser opens on detective Jang Jae-kyung (Ji Sung), an ace investigator until one day he became kidnapped and forcibly addicted to drugs. However, things take a turn for the messy when he learns of the death of an old friend, ruled as suicide. One of Jae-kyung’s acquaintances, the dogged-reporter Oh Yoon-jin, played by Jeon Mi-do immediately catches on to the suspicious circumstances at play, asking Jae-kyung if it’s possible that their deceased friend has set up the situation so Jae-kyung can catch the killer. No doubt this is a good entertaining thriller. Ji Sung is smart when it comes to choosing thrillers like Defendant and The Devil Judge. I trust his choice in scripts. Connection will premiere on May 24 at SBS. Hoping it will be on Viki, too! This is much anticipated drama. I'm excited to see how Ji Sung is gonna get out of this one! I know, Jeon Mi-do is gonna help him.   :Twerkdatbutt:

Watch: Ji Sung Gets Entangled In Past Relationships While Searching For Justice In "Connection" Teaser

20240521023538_connection-teaser.jpg?s=9

SBS’s upcoming drama “Connection” has released a new teaser!

“Connection” is a crime thriller starring Ji Sung as Jang Jae Kyung, a well-respected detective who is the ace of the narcotics unit. Although Jang Jae Kyung is a trusted detective who cares deeply about his principles, his world is turned upside down when he is kidnapped and forcibly addicted to a mysterious new drug against his will.

The latest teaser takes us on a journey through past and present, teasing a web of interconnected stories and mysteries. It starts with a glimpse into the past, where young Oh Yoon Jin (Kim Min Ju) finds herself in the same class as young Jang Jae Kyung (Cho Han Gyul). Fast forward to the present, and we see Jae Kyung recognizing Yoon Jin (Jeon Mi Do) in a restaurant, where she appears to be involved in a suspicious transaction. This moment likely marks the rekindling of their relationship after two decades.

Yoon Jin’s involvement in a drug case sparks speculation about her awareness of Jae Kyung’s struggles with addiction.

Meanwhile, Jae Kyung reconnects with Park Jun Seo (Yoon Na Moo), his former schoolmate, who apologizes for a past incident. Despite Jae Kyung’s accusations, Jun Seo seems determined to make amends, even if they’re long overdue.

However, Jun Seo’s efforts seem to have been in vain, as Jae Kyung searches for him after a mysterious incident. The teaser hints at regret and anger, with someone lamenting Jae Kyung’s lack of understanding for Jun Seo in voice-over.

The teaser flashes back to the past, where the young Yoon Jin talks about the importance of friendship, juxtaposed with Park Tae Jin (Kwon Yool)’s haunting line in the present: “It’s not easy to kill a friend.” This ominous statement accompanies a series of perilous situations: Yoon Jin being strangled, Jae Kyung desperately administering CPR, a car plunging into water, and Yoon Jin trapped in a burning house. As the teaser wraps up, it flashes back to the past, focusing on a white flower sitting on a classroom desk and hinting at the tragic death of a classmate. Meanwhile, present-day Jae Kyung rushes toward an unknown danger, setting the stage for a gripping mystery to unfold.
