Synopsis:

A street muscian wanted for murder, Tai Ming Bat (Bobby Au-Yeung), assumes the identity of an Imperial Music Bureau official, Kiu Po Lung (Evergreen Mak) to preserve his safety. Due to his partial amnesia, Kiu forgot about his imperial post and instead, finds a job as a kitchen chef.

Enjoying his newfound wealth, Tai was afraid that he will soon be found out to be an imposter and lose his life. One lie leads to another lie. Tai sets out to break off his engagement with Kiu’s betrothed bride, Pin Yuk Yin (Linda Chung), afraid that his identity will otherwise be found out.

However, Pin decides to join the Imperial Music Bureau to train for the upcoming national music and dance competition in order to get closer to her fiance, whom she mistakens to be Tai. Pin befriends Lee Joi Shan (Myolie Wu), a fellow dancer in the Imperial Music Bureau. The “sworn sisters” are also rivals in love and on court; will Tai break the women’s friendship beyond repair?

i really enjoy Myolie's character transformation in this series, and with her growing fondness of Bobby's character.

one thing i don't like is Linda's character... way too full of herself and eek. :|

but overall, a pretty enjoyable series to watch. i personally like the performances that they have to do.
