Guest snowflakesj16
Kim Tae Hee’s Japanese drama debut piece 99 Days with a Star will be making its way into Korea. CJ E&M enewsWorld Lee, KyungNam Translation Credit : Erika Kim FashionN of T Cast will start airing 99 Days with a Star on April 12. The drama previously made issues as the Japanese drama debut of Kim Tae Hee and 2PM member Taecyeon. 99 Days with a Star is a Japanese take on the story of the film Notting Hill. The hallyu star Han Yoo Na (Kim Tae Hee) falls in love with her bodyguard Kohei Namiki (Nishijima Hidetoshi) during her stay in Japan for 99 days on an on locale shoot. Han Yoo Na is a scatterbrained yet much loved Korean top star. For the role, Kim Tae Hee showed off her fluent Japanese by acting out all her dialogue in Japanese. When the drama was airing in Japan, it also became popular for the surprise kiss between Yoo Na and Kohei and her embrace with Taecyeon. The drama did have its lows, as it was embroiled in controversy when a map that showed the ‘Sea of Japan’ and ‘Takeshima’ made it into a scene. Netizens reacted with comments that said, ‘They’ll have deleted the Takeshima map, right?’ and ‘I really wanted to watch it, so I’m happy they’re airing it in a Korean channel’.
