Actor Lee Min Ho revealed that he had lost weight while filming his new drama 'Faith'.

On the August 15th broadcast of SBS's 'One Night of TV Entertainment', Lee Min Ho stated, "I lost 7kg (~15 lbs) in one month."

'Faith' co-star Yoo Oh Sung chimed in, "Lee Min Ho is taking care of his body really well. He's taken care of it to the point that he doesn't even need an armor."

Lee Min Ho revealed, "On our first day of filming, there was a scene in which I had to carry Kim Hee Sun nuna. She felt light then.

However, I tried to carry her again a month later, but it took a lot of energy. I'm in a state in which I only have bones left in my body."

Yoo Oh Sung then joked, "So are you saying that you lost 7kg from having to lift Kim Hee Sun?" causing laughter on the set. Kim Hee Sun laughed as she jokingly scolded the two saying, "How can you say that!!"

I know right?

He really played Choi Young well...in fact, I really believe Gen Choi Young must have been just as chivalrous and stoic.

He should make more historical dramas.

He looks really good in uniform or armor.

You are not alone @ElleSor
The King was my first but I fell hard for CY / LMH in FAITH.  Like @msdot, I am totally with her - LMH was so charismatic as CY.   Can't seem to get tired re-watching that drama.

Historical Korean Dramas: Top List

Do you love historical Korean dramas? No? Probably in vain. It is only at first glance that it may seem frightening a large number of episodes, an incomprehensible, completely alien story, and strange, sometimes even funny costumes. Perhaps you just haven't yet come across the very “your” series that will change the perception of historical dramas. We hope that the list of selected popular TV shows will help you find something interesting and worthy of attention.

"Faith"

The list of "Best South Korean Historical Series" is deservedly headed by this project. The excellent cast, led by Lee Min Ho and Kim Hee Sun, is already an eye-catcher in its own right, and the stunning Ost is a welcome bonus.

In the center of the plot is an unusual love story of a captain of the royal bodyguards and a doctor. It would seem, what might be of interest here? Only now the captain lives in 1351, and the doctor is from modern Seoul. Yoo Eun Soo was unlucky: she was in the wrong place at the wrong moment. And instead of going home after work, the girl had to move through a temporary gate to another era.

Yes, under the escort of the cold handsome Choi Young, but that definitely didn’t cheer her up. As well as the fact that returning home was not as easy as promised. Therefore, we will have to stay a little longer, and at the same time help the king keep the throne, make friends with the princess, be known as the "Heavenly Doctor", make a bunch of enemies and win the heart of the impregnable captain, who is not at all as simple as it seems.

10 years !! How did Lee Min Ho interact with the senior actress? In the case of "Faith"

August 21, 2021

The historical drama "Vera" is a drama staged in 2012. Starring Lee Min Ho and Kim Hee Sun, they were dressed as samurai and female doctors who had dated for over 660 years.

In other words, the plot unfolds using a time frame, but the determined figure of the samurai Lee Min Ho was so cool that many fans could get stuck on the screen ...

The story began in 1351. Lee Min Ho was dressed as a samurai, Choi Young, who was attacked by a thug when he accompanied a group of young kings.

In the end, the queen was seriously injured. It was a life that could not be saved without special "faith."

Choi Young seeks out the divine doctor and travels to the mysterious heavens, and finally finds the "divine doctor" in Seoul in 2012. He was played by orthopedist Yoo Eun Soo and played by Kim Hee Sun.

Shooting Confidence

Choi Young was desperately trying to bring Yoo Eun Soo back to the Goryeo era and save the queen's life, which was the opening chapter of "Faith."

As such, the drama depicts a love affair that transcends the time and space of Choi Young and Yoo Eun Soo, but the breath of lead duo Lee Min Ho and Kim Hee Sun was also perfect.

However, Kim Hee Sun was actually 10 years older than Lee Min Ho.

If that happens, Lee Min Ho will be aware of the age difference, but he says, "This is the first time I held Yoo Eun Soo's hand," as a scene for which I have a strong feeling.

Lee Min Ho must have felt a certain response in his own way while filming the famous and popular actress Kim Hee Sun.

Sure, Lee Min Ho felt a lot of pressure as a blockbuster protagonist, but by matching his breath with Kim Hee Sun, he gained the confidence to finish filming to the end.

In Korean dramas, actresses are often older than the main men and women, but they are still rarely 10 years older. However, Lee Min Ho did a great job with Kim Hee Sun without hesitation.

Kim Hee Sun and Lee Min Ho, first breath with "Faith" ... Can we make up the 10-year difference?

Actress Kim Hee Sun (35) and Lee Min Ho (25), 10 years his junior, will work together for the first time in the historical drama Faith (working title).

Kim Hee Sun's agency Hinge Entertainment stated on the 3rd, "Kim Hee Sun has confirmed her participation in the SBS drama Faith, which will air in August." Lee Min Ho has also previously confirmed his appearance on "Faith."

Kim Hee Sun's agency stated, "On the 2nd, I signed a contract with a production company." Kim Hee Sun's drama returns for the first time in six years since the 2006 SBS drama Smile Again.

Kim Hee Sun, who took a short break, is taking part in a historical drama for the first time. Meanwhile, when she was a high school student, she starred in several historical dramas and appeared in the KBS Chuseok special drama "Chunhyangjong" when she was a high school student, but this is the first full-blown historical drama. Lee Min Ho will also try out his first historical drama with this piece.

In the historical drama Faith, where a Goryeo warrior meets a modern female doctor and shows a love that transcends time and space, Kim Hee Sun plays Eun Soo, a bizarre plastic surgeon. Lee Min Ho's role is Captain Choi Young (about 20 years old) from Uldachi, the royal escort unit, who would later become General Choi Young.

One day, Eun Soo, who was attending a medical seminar in Gangnam, Seoul, was abruptly kidnapped by Choi Young, an escort warrior for King Gongmin of the Goryeo Dynasty.

In particular, "Faith" attracts attention because it is the work of writer Gina Song and director Kim Jong-hak, who directed "The Hourglass" and "Tevansashinki".

Kim Hee Sun, who made the final decision to join 'Faith', said, “I decided to show up after reading the script because the plot structure was very solid and the main character Eun Soo was attractive.

In addition, Kim Hee Sun added, "Although the production was later than planned, I wanted to keep the trust of writers Song Jin and Kim Jong Hak by expecting and trusting them."

Lee Min Ho also said through his agency, "I was amazed when I read the script and read straight to Volume 6." He said: “I like historical dramas. There is a bar.

Meanwhile, the 24-episode series "Faith" was confirmed to air in August after the new SBS drama "Ghost" aired on Wednesdays and Thursdays starring Seo Ji-sub and Lee Young Hee.

Korean drama recommended historical drama [2021 version] The Shini genre is a historical drama, but it also has a strong fantasy element, and it makes me melancholy to return to reality after watching the final episode. You will be healed by the gentle smile of. You can't see a scene where you try to protect your loved one at the risk of your life without tears.

I can't believe it's been 9 years since this show aired. I'm currently following another sageuk that reminds me of Faith a little bit. I love LMH from this era. I'm biased but I think Choi Young was my favorite LMH role; he portrayed that faithful stoic general so well. The writing from this show still feels current to this day. I love the romance and the comraderies. Still gives me warm and fuzzy feeling every time I think about it.

Yes, that's true for me, too, @Jellyfiz!  He was just terrific in it. Faith was only the second Korean drama that I watched (the first was  "Jumong"). I just stumbled across Faith on Viki, noticed LMH's compelling look on the poster, and clicked on it. I was captivated from the get-go by the story and Choi Young. I also think it was his best role. I read the story frequently, interspersed with watching it!
