Lee Min-ho is an action hero once again through "Faith"

Lee Min-ho is getting ready to become an action hero once again.

"Faith" draws the romance between a warrior from the ancient times and a female doctor from the modern times. Lee Min-ho  takes on the role of the king's guard general Choi Yeong.

Lee Min-ho was reviewed greatly for his role in the SBS drama "City Hunter" as Lee Yoon seong who took on the society in his own way and got rid of evil.

His experience from "City Hunter" should reflect well on the drama "Faith". It appears that he is greedy for more action after what he did in "City Hunter". He is suggesting various answers of his own and is very eager in his work. The action scenes in "Faith" should be different from "City Hunter" as it is a fusion historical, it will have more of sword-fighting.

Lee Min-ho role of Choi Yeong is quite random and cheerful unlike usual generals and should approach viewers in a new way.

"Faith" is perfecting its images with a special computer graphics team. Also, the action team that worked with Lee in "City Hunter" has been asked once again to join on board.

"Faith" is created by Kim Jong-hak and wirter Song Jina. It is also the come back project of actress Kim Hee-seon for the first time in 6 years.

There has been talk about being similar with the MBC weekend drama "Dr. JIN" that is currently on air but the production claims it is only similar in the fact that the subject matter of time travel and nothing else.

Lee Min Ho showed off how he transitions from the present to the past for his upcoming historic-fusion drama.

On June 19, Lee Min Ho updated his Facebook with new pictures saying, “Currently at an advertisement shoot set. The staff here are working to hide my long hair and I’m keeping watch on my acting. From modern day to the past, from the past to modern day. So confusing.”

The two pictures showed Lee Min Ho in different appearances, style and ‘time periods’.

The photos show Lee Min Ho in a warrior outfit for his upcoming SBS historic drama Faith and Lee Min Ho dressed in modern attire with his usual straight locks, while he monitors his acting through the video camera



Lee Min Ho’s hairpiece for his upcoming drama Faith, was specially designed for Lee Min Ho’s role by the special effects team.

Each strand of hair is glued onto Lee Min Ho’s existing hair to ensure the piece doesn’t fall out during his scenes and takes up to five hours each time Lee Min Ho changes from his longer drama hair style to his normal shorter hair style.

Lee Min Ho’s Faith will premiere in August and also star Kim Hee Sun.

"Faith" and "The Great Seer" to be released at the end of the year

Blockbusters are making their way through dramas. In addition to MBC "Good of War" which cost 20 billion won (~US$10 million), SBS "Faith" and "The Great Seer" cost just as much and is preparing to present themselves with some fancy sights.

"Faith" with Lee Min-ho and Kim Hee-seon start off first. To be aired for the first time on the 31st of August, "Faith" is a romance drama between an ancient warrior and a modern day doctor. It created by Kim Jong-hak and writer Song-jina, it also Kim Hee-seon's first drama in 6 years and Hallyu star Lee Min-ho's next big project. The computer graphics cost per episode is known to be 6~7 hundred million won (~US$700,000) and the estimated total cost should be about 10 billion.

"The Great Seer" comes next. To be released in October, "The Great Seer" is a fiction historical about topography scholars establishing the Chosun with Lee Seong-gye in the lead. A single episode is said to cost 3 hundred million won (~US$300,000) and the main lineup cast is to be made up of top stars.

Before, I read a news about Jeong Jun Ho will play as Gi Cheol in Faith (but he's still consider it).
So it's clear he won't play as Gi Cheol. Because Yu Oh Seong take the role.

연기파 배우 유오성이 SBS 월화 드라마 '신의'에 캐스팅, 이민호 김희선과 호흡을 맞춘다.

19일 '신의' 측에 따르면 최근 유오성은 극 중 원나라 제 2황후인 기황후의 오빠인 기철 역에 낙점됐다.

유오성이 연기하는 기철은 영리하면서도 정치적이며 타인의 마음을 교묘하게 조종하는데 능한 검은 야욕으로 무장한 인물. 권세를 바탕으로 고려 조정을 손아귀에 쥐고 흔들며 무사 최영(이민호 분) 및 공민왕(류덕환 분)과 팽팽한 대립각을 이뤄 끊임없는 극적 긴장감을 조성하게 된다.

그 간 안방극장과 스크린, 연극 등 무대와 장르를 불문하고 '미친 존재감'을 발휘했던 유오성이기에, 이번 기철 역에 대한 주위의 기대 또한 높다.

' 신의' 관계자는 "기철은 유오성에 꼭 맞는 옷과 같은 캐릭터라 여겨질 만큼 가장 이상적인 캐스팅이 이뤄졌다"며 "유오성의 깊은 내공이 쌓인 탄탄한 연기력과 눈빛만으로도 강렬한 잔상을 남기는 섬세한 표현력이 기철 역을 입체적으로 그려내 줄 것으로 기대하고 있다"고 전했다.

한편 '신의'는 고려시대 무사 최영(이민호 분)과 현대의 여의사 은수(김희선 분)가 만나 진정한 왕을 만들어내는 과정을 그리게 되는 판타지 멜로드라마. 이민호 김희선 유오성 류덕환 외에도 박세영 이필립 신은정 등이 출연한다. '추적자' 후속으로 오는 8월13일 첫 방송된다.

Lee Min Ho, who’s currently filming for his upcoming SBS Drama ‘Faith,’ revealed comical photos of himself.

On June 30th, Lee Min Ho’s agency posted photos which were taken from the recent drama set, and showed ‘Flower General’ Lee Min Ho in his armor suit gazing at a distance.

Closer up, he had a serious facial expression along with a long sword penetrating his body which caused laughter once the situation was grasped later. Netizens named the photo, “Photo that Will Make You Laugh After 3 Seconds.’

In this drama, Lee Min Ho plays the escort of the king known as General Choi Young. Although it is common to see someone getting stabbed by his or her enemy through battle, the problem lies with the fact that the sword cannot be taken out even after the shooting ended.

It seemed like he was a magician at a magic show, but in reality, it took almost two hours for the costume makers to make the sword look real by placing each end on each side of Lee Min Ho’s body.

Even during break time, Lee Min Ho wandered around the filming set with his armor and sword that penetrated his body which caused some people to be surprised. General Lee Soon Shin once said, “Don’t let anyone know about my death,” but General Choi did the opposite by showing off his stabbed self to everyone.

His agency explained that the main point in the photo was that Lee Min Ho had a serious facial expression while gazing at a distance which was an interlude of him memorizing his script.

His agency also added, “Lee Min Ho wore his ‘Sam Gyup Sal [means 'bacon' in Korean] Armor’ in the 30 degrees Celsius hot weather, and continuously dripped sweat all day,” and, “Lee Min Ho said that he was more scared of the heat than the sword.”

The fans who saw the photos wrote, “His charisma still shows even when stabbed,” “General Choi, hang in there!”, “His body is a walking weapon,” “He can’t even lay down with that thing,” etc.
