I really enjoyed the puppet show,it made me miss my childhood :') The kids interaction was amazing, I'm still laughing because I keep remembering they called him a fool..our poor Minwoo :x Overall everyone did a great job! I was impressed with Hyesung directing skills and the acting was fairly good as well, but he had to ruin it during thanks performing his trademark  gun acting :)
Now we only have 2 episodes left T.T

I the farting Wolf never fail to make me laugh.  Love the puppet show since. Shinhwa members, Lizzy & Eunji really had fun putting up the show.  not sure if it's the editing, but this performance got the children's attention & interaction the most.  I love Minwoo as the 'big' bad wolf, RicJin & Lizzy are so cute.  Eunji did quite will with her role as well.

Funny thing RicJin the last 2 arrive at the train station are the 1st two getting to the Shinbang RV that morning :D

From Majah Archery episode to this, it's funny the PD & production team likes to pair/play up Eric with the girls on the show.
Of all the members, they get Eric to pick up Eunji. I see Shinbang trolling... XDD

2014.01.11 Shinhwa Broadcast Twitter Update:

2014.01.14 Eric-Jung Eunji, have you seen such an awkward couple?

Like newly-wed couple that just quarreled? Or how a campus couple looks after ending 6 years of dating? In ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’, Eric and Jung Eunji were caught pitifully being awkward around each other in the same car, sparking curiosity.

Regarding this, the producers explained, “Shinhwa’s Eric has fallen deeply for Apink’s Jung Eunji’s charm.” It’s an ironic explanation to the relationship between the 2 of them which is totally different from the atmosphere of the picture. In that case, the background to it is? That (Eric) likes (Jung Eunji) so much that their first meeting is awkward?

In JTBC “Shinhwa Broadcast - Little Legends Shinhwa Finds” that airs on the 12th, we meet with ‘Boxing Brothers’ Kang Moosoo and Kang Donghyun, who’re focused on exercising because of dreams to become boxers despite the difficult situation they’re in.

In the show, Shinhwa invites Apink’s Jung Eunji, whom Kang Moosoo and Kang Donghyun brothers like the most, and goes looking for the little legend. In order to escort Jung Eunji, Shinhwa’s Eric waits outside the salon from early in the morning, showing his extreme sincerity. However, once Eric and Jung Eunji were along together, they couldn’t hide their awkwardness, such as being unable to talk for more than a few sentences etc.

However, after the previous episode, this is Jung Eunji’s second time appearing in “Shinhwa Broadcast” and, with better conversation skills, she even had an impromptu “Sunglasses” talk show.  The Shinhwa members were focused on Jung Eunji’s talk show, just like expert audiences, and Eric, who was awkward with her when they were alone, showed explosive reactions to Jung Eunji even while sleeping, and even came under fire from the other members.

JTBC “Shinhwa Broadcast - Little Legends Shinhwa Finds” with Shinhwa and Jung Eunji can be see on 12th January, Sunday, 11pm.

LOL Eric xD Can't wait till tomorrow' to see if it'll be more awkward compared to fashion channel ep since Eunji is a younger idol :))

@linakyon, it looked a lot less awkward than with Hyejin in the Fashion Channel hehehe  If they didn't played up with the press releases for the preview & the special effects/captions it's not really bad (well taking from someone not understanding what their convos was lolol) XDD

I love how Eric gave Eunji a few pats on the hands to comfort her when she was embarrased by the instructor asking if she wants to spar it out with the boxing students lol

Shinhwa convo with Eunji in the RV and later in the bus.  Seemingly sleeping Eric still chimed in at all the convos :D  And Syung putting his jacket on Eric, lol make me remember his 'confession' (while he was drunk) to Eric years back, thinking RicDy were sleeping... he took a blanket and cover Eric up too... now we get to see it when he's sober lol (never mind my RicSyung over active brain) :P

RicMin looking really good during the boxing, Jin went for the comedic version.  I really hope he'll pick up another variety show soon.  This guys is born for variety, no complain if he whip up an album next year either.  But first sign up an mgmt for a start....

This is it, final Shinhwa Broadcast episode... knowing it's comming, it's still hard to say good bye... :'(

@Phi Glad to know :D  Didn't watch it yet, but I trust you :)
Don't even want to think this show is going to end :'(  Still hoping that they can present us one more special ep to give a proper goodbye or at least reserve the last part of this Sunday's ep to do so

It's too bad, the rating of the last episode didn't improve much.  With all respect to the boxing students, instructors & boxer Park, I have to say this last episode bored me cus I'm not really into boxing.  I know it's unlikely but I was hoping they would give Shinhwa an extra recording to wrap up the show at the end... all the playback near the end could had been used for some quick words from the members themselves to bring it to a close.  Too bad it didn't happen.

These are the latest articles about Shinhwa Broadcast's last episode, rating and how it comes about

This one was right after the airing of the final episode.

2014.01.19 End of “Shinhwa Broadcast”, cheerful and heartwarming till the end

JTBC variety program ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’ has come to an end after it’s broadcast on the 19th. Although ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’ was unable to maintain ratings after changing formats from infinite channels, sticking tightly together, Shinhwa was cheerful and heartwarming till the end.

In the last episode of JTBC ‘Shinhwa Broadcast - Little Legends Shinhwa Finds’ that aired on 19th evening, the final story of ‘boxing brothers’ Kang Moosoo, Kang Dongheon, who dream of becoming boxers, was aired.

On today’s episode, the surprise appearance of former world champion Park Chongpal right at the beginning of the show drew attention. To the boxing hopefuls, he said, “Do not ever forget about your dreams,” and left touching advice that he learnt through his valuable experiences. He mentioned the unfortunate boxer Kim Dukkoo, adding “When I said I wanted to try for the champion, everyone said I wouldn’t be able to do it because of the inferior built of an Asian. Even so, I did it. I wanted to release my sorrow for Kim Dukkoo and also show that it’s possible to win American athletes,” moving those present.

Following that, Shinhwa held a “Shinhwa Broadcast Boxing Championship” for the boxing hopefuls. It was an event held to support the hopefuls who’ll be leading South Korea’s future in boxing. While each weight category went through 3 matches, the Shinhwa members carried out their duties as second faithfully, and cheered on the hopefuls who had intense games. Junjin, Lee Minwoo and Shin Hyesung in turn even acted as round boys and brought enjoyment to the audience.

Thanks to this surprise event that started with Junjin, the intense boxing championship became like a celebratory festival. Commissioner Lee Sangho who was watching him delightfully, said, “Now, the boxing culture has to become a stage where the athletes and audience become one,” also revealing the direction for boxing culture.

With synchronized dance as the base, Shinhwa, through their energetic boxing dance, simultaneously cheered on the hopefuls and also put up a performance that left an impression on the viewers who came to watch the competition despite the cold weather. ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’ and Shinhwa especially revealed touching messages from boxing sunbaes to the boxing brothers, which gave them memories and courage.

On the other hand, ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’, which started from March 2012, received much love through the cheerful yet sincere sides of the members but it was met with trouble following Kim Dongwan’s wish to focus on acting activities as well as Andy stepping down in order to self-reflect.

Shinhwa members said, “As you can tell from the program title, ‘Shinhwa’ should be the main focus in ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’ and with 2 members leaving, we’ve concluded that there is no longer any meaning to ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’,” conveying the cancellation of the program. Hence, ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’, which has been a key variety program at JTBC since its opening, has come to the end of it’s 2 years journey with today’s episode.

I recall Hye Syung wished to celebrate Shinbang's 100th episode and Eric/Shinhwa wished Shinhwa Broadcast to be a long lasting show like MBC's "Country Diary".  It's bitter sweet for them watching EP.70 last night I guess.

Really wonder if Shinhwa would tough it out a bit longer if all 6 were on the show. It's not the 1st time their rating is below 1%... When they started out it was 0.3's% and below 1% for a while.  IF there's next time, it better be 6, yes?  All of them can commit for whatever the length of time and nothing goes wrong.

Almost 2 years with Shinhwa Broadcast, I thank your for bring us laughter, make us learn with them through various tutors and cooking channel, and sharing those heart warming moments at the "Finding Little Legends".  I hope those interesting people they met through Shinhwa Broadcast also enrich Shinhwa.

That's it, the Shinhwa Broadcast memory book closed for the very last time... The End.

Was this the successful ending the Pd told he was going to give us?*sigh* Still can't believe it ended just like that . If they gave mother's taste a proper ending why they didn't the same for this one? I'm not saying they should gather to film another episode, but it would have been nice to see a recorded message or some pics from the last 2 years . The viewers deserved a better ending, but what's done it's done, this door closes, another one will certainly open . Even if we don't see them again with their own variety show, I'll be happy anyway looking forward not only for their comeback as group but also their individual activities :)
@Phi ikr, the ratings were never steady to begin with. Besides that interview the pd gave when they decided to end it was pretty much self explanatory.Even if he said he'll reconsider if all 6 can participate, I'd rather see Shinhwa without their own show than being back at jtbc, but this is only how I feel.
Sadness aside, let's cherish all good memories we have . When I look back I'm really proud of them. Hyesung in particular was the one who grew the most . Like he said once to Jinnie, I also feel like a mother bird, even though I'm younger than them :))

[Op-Ed] Shinhwa Broadcast 2, a slightly unfortunate end after 2 years

tumblr_inline_mzr6clucaG1rb7x3v.jpg

JTBC’s variety program ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’ came to an end after 2 years on 19th. ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’s’ last story was the second part of the ‘boxing hopefuls’ episode. On this day, Shinhwa Boxing Championship was carried out in the show and they cheered on for children who dreamt of boxing championships in future. The tears of the grandfather who came to the stadium to watch his grandsons’ competition, the children’s challenges etc, touching emotions were conveyed and with the end of this day’s show, came the unfortunate end to ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’.

'Shinhwa Broadcast' started out as a show that placed the name of an idol group 'Shinhwa' on the line. Like the 15 year longest running idols they are, 'Shinhwa' was a group whose variety sense is already proven through various variety programs. Because they convey more fun when the 6 of them are together, as compared to them appearing separately, so the program that they put their name on the line for, was the perfect show for fans who've supported them for a long time.

'Shinhwa Broadcast' first aired on March, 2012, and it started out good. It had a wide variety and according to the channels, various sides of the members were shown. With their average age approaching the mid-30s, they mainly showed themselves as off the wall and delightful, and even made those in their teens turn into their fans. Be it the farting exercise, or using just the word wifi and turning it into Thai, or them uniting together for leader Eric's hidden camera, every episode garnered attention. It also became a medium for the viewers who spent their teens together with 'Shinhwa' to look back on the memories of their schooling days.

The problem started when ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’ made changes to their format. ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’ changed from infinite channels to ‘Private Tutoring’, and having ‘Shinhwa’ sit in a studio and creating a show together with guests was the start of them being distanced from the viewers. Because the laughter arising from the members’ natural interactions disappeared. The repeated format changes that followed continued to be failures, and ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’ came back as Season 2 in November 2013. With the theme of “Little Legends Shinhwa Finds”, it was the start of ‘Shinhwa’ making ‘kind program’.

On the whole, ‘Shinhwa Broadcast Season 2’ was too kindhearted. There were touching moments and although there were also little funny moments here and there, as compared to the off the wall and delightful sides expected of Shinhwa, the main focus was on touching the audience. They met with abandoned dogs, looked for a jjajangmyeon restaurant with love, met with the main driving forces behind archery legends and also met with boxing hopefuls but as compared to being ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’, it was more like ‘Experience Life’. Instead of ‘Shinhwa’ being the problem, it was more the format.

It is rather insufficient to call Kim Dongwan, who was unable to join Season 2 when it started, and Andy, who departed due to his involvement in illegal gambling, as the cause for ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’s’ end. Because it is sufficiently possible for ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’ to continue with just 4 members alone. Apart from the members’ departure, wasn’t the editing, which was awkwardly between funny and touching, a problem?

Most of all, the show ended with just a few lines of goodbye. No matter what, it was a program that went on for 2 years, and it can’t be said that it wasn’t a somewhat disappointing goodbye to the viewers who have waited for Shinhwa Broadcast.

To my personal opinion this one of the variety show that I love the most and can make me really RFOL literally.

Hoping that they can still make another variety show with all of the 6 in it.

Was a bit happy when I heard Eric was approached for the new drama king of trot but since he is turning it down, I guess I need to wait for longer time before I can see him again.

ShinBang PD has since moved on to a new "whodunnit" mystery programme called "Crime Scene". It features one of my favourite Korean celebs - ex-pro gamer now-broadcaster Hong Jinho. He was a revelation on tvN's reality TV gameshow "The Genius". (

Shin Hye Sung says Shinhwa members once had a naked dance battle
Shin Hye Sung recently guested on jTBC’s 19+ talk show “Witch Hunt” and shared some of the untold story of Shinhwa in the past.

During the show on May 30th, Sung Si Kyung asked,”I heard that when you used to stay in the dorm together you didn’t wear any clothes and you guys know about each other’s bodies very well”.

To this Shin Hye Sung replied,”We once had a dance battle and all the members were naked”,”It’s not just a normal dance battle but we also did break dance. There was a person who even wore a helmet then he did the head spin”, which made everyone burst in laughter over his story.

Yoo Se Yoon commented,”Then wasn’t it like a helicopter?” while raising his arm and made it look like the helocopter rotor and made everyone laugh with his gag joke.
