What do you expect out of a thread with such title?

I'm doing this to see what's your habit on forums and your expectation.

Before clicking on this thread, were you like "what the *bleep* is this" after reading the title?

Now that you're in here, are you disappointed with what you see so far? [Clear answer to this question is if the person left this topic in less than a minute]. And if you haven't left this thread yet but you're still disappointed while reading this, why would this thread be disappointing?

Could it be because you didn't read the topic description to understand that the title was only used as an example for the current thread subject? (Yes, some people don't read descriptions)

If so, would you really expect a picture of a shark with human teeth or just a random conversation about "Hey have you seen such thing in your life?".

What if this thread was a long boring text with no picture? Would you leave this thread already? Or would you likely read everything?

Assuming that I got a link that backs up this thread, would you click on it to know more about it? Or are you too lazy or scared of the link?

There are indeed many people who don't look in any link shown by the OP to know more / see more. At least, that's what I've witnessed the most in "Current Event" section. It was obvious when some people don't even read the article and only look for a picture or they just don't click on the source at all to know more about the subject. I even walked into an internet cafe and a dude browsing a forum was like "*Clicks on a thread* Ah no picture damn it *leaves the thread*". Let's see in which category you fall into!

You don't have to answer to any question. Just describe your behavior when you got on this painfully boring thread!

but yeah...I do the opposite of SunniRise. When I see long posts in L&R I tend to get out of the thread mainly because most of the threads I've read with that many words are either rants, the same-ol' advice seeking questions, are fishing for some sort affirmation, etc.

Now, I'd like to present you my results on this experiment throughout my intense stalkish observations.

SunniRise represents the users (like BigBong514) that thought I was trolling in here when in fact I was as serious as George W. Bush's face.

monkeydoingabarrelroll represents the users that would like to get other users prepared before clicking the link. You will have to do such warm-up. It is indeed recommended to look at what's in your hand before opening a link. The reason is because many guys ripped their own penises off after clicking some scary "sudden-spook" links on some porn websites (according to some YouTube comments). Make sure you don't scratch your nuts (or grab anything near that area) before opening any unknown link. Very good reminder.

What lead me to my comment isn't because of what you're doing here with this thread. I said it because of some of the reactions from others to what you're doing. I was pointing something out to go along the same line of what you were trying to show. I wasn't saying the forums is falling off because of this thread. What is causing it to fall off are factors bigger than this thread.

You're out here doing this, just having some fun. That's what I was seeing.
