EXO’s Sehun Becomes A Shareholder Of eSports Company APESPORTS

 

 

 

On July 22, the eSports company APESPORTS stated that EXO’s Sehun had joined them as a shareholder.

 

Kim Ok Jin, the chief of games at APESPORTS, said, “eSports contains elements of sports and entertainment, so we believe it will be a big help to have Sehun onboard, who has conquered the global market in entertainment as an EXO member. Please look forward to how Sehun’s assistance will develop

SeolHaeOne Prince into a global team.”

APESPORTS is an eSports company that runs SeolHaeOne Prince, a professional game group that is active in various eSports such as League of Legends, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Teamfight Tactics, Valorant, and more.

 

For their participation in the upcoming 2021 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) competition, APESPORTS teamed up with Kolon Industries FnC in the fashion industry, Seol Hae Won in the leisure industry, and various famous eSports teams around the world. APESPORTS is also increasing their competitiveness by expanding the education industry through a partnership with ALPACO and establishing a top-class pro-gamer academy.

 

Sehun is currently promoting with Chanyeol as part of EXO-SC, who released their first studio album, “1 Billion Views.”

On July 23, Gaon Chart officially announced that BLACKPINK and EXO-SC had, between the two of them, topped all five of its latest weekly charts.

"Music Bank" Issues Apology And Fixes Chart Error + #EXO_SC Takes #1BillionViews1stWin 

 

 

 

KBS’s “Music Bank” has issued an apology and correction regarding the rankings of the latest episode that aired on July 24.

On July 28, “Music Bank” released an official statement that reads as follows:

 

Hello, this is the staff of “Music Bank.”

We wish to notify you that there was an error in the rankings of the weekly chart on July 24 due to a miscalculation. Therefore, we wish to correct the rankings for K-Chart for the fourth week of July, meaning that EXO-SC was in first place and BLACKPINK was in second place.

 

Music Bank’s K-Chart rankings are calculated based on digital streaming, broadcast appearance, viewer preference, and album sales. The broadcast appearance criteria is calculated based on the number of times a song is played during KBS programs. The error occurred while calculating this criteria, and after looking over the scores once more, we determined that a mistake had been made.

The K-Chart rankings have been updated.

We deeply apologize to viewers who love “Music Bank” and the two artists for causing confusion, and we will do our best to ensure that this does not happen again in the future.

 

The updated K-Chart rankings reflects the changes, showing EXO-SC taking their first win for “1 Billion Views” with a score of 6,431 points.

Chanyeol will reportedly join the cast for the jukebox road movie ‘The Box’!

This will be his first lead role in a korean movie and he‘ll be performing as an aspiring singer. He is also expected to work on music for the movie.

 

 

「The Box」 is a jukebox movie about the “music trip” of an aspiring singer and a producer who used to enjoy the peak of his popularity in the past but now is facing a decline (in his career). 

They’re reported to start filming in late August.

EXO’s Chanyeol Confirmed To Star In His 1st Korean Film

 

 

 

On July 30, SM Entertainment officially confirmed that Chanyeol would be starring in the upcoming film “The Box” (literal title). The agency stated, “Chanyeol has decided to appear in the jukebox road movie ‘The Box’ and is currently in the process of working out the details.”

 

“The Box” is a jukebox musical film about an aspiring singer and a washed-up music producer who used to be a big shot in the industry. Together, they embark on a musical journey that will be directed by Yang Jung Woong, the executive producer of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics opening and closing ceremonies.

Not only will Chanyeol be starring in the movie in the role of the aspiring singer, but he will also be participating in rearranging the songs that he will be singing in the film.

 

Although Chanyeol previously starred in the Chinese movie “So I Married My Anti-Fan,” “The Box” will mark his very first starring role in a Korean film. The movie is currently scheduled to begin filming sometime in mid-to-late August.
