Guest chyea dann
i'm writing a christmas letter to my friend, and i need help writing it in korean. can someone translate for me? thank you~~ Hi, it’s been a long time since I’ve talked to you. It’s hard to explain why I haven’t talked to you in such a long time, because there isn’t any good reason why. At first, I didn’t want to bother you, so I kind of avoided you. But once I realized I haven’t said hi to you in a while, it seemed kind of too late -__- Honestly, to me you are still my friend, and whenever I see you not happy I still get a little worried about you. I’m sorry I haven’t talked to you in such a long time, and I understand if you don’t care about this letter. Please forgive me. Hopefully after the break, I can actually look at you and say hi. I’m sorry. PLEASE HELP!! this means alot to me :] i'm gonna start pming people who i think are proficient with their korean..
Guest NJSK.
미안해. i had to change some expressions for the korean, but hopefully it's accurate enough. i feel sad now T_T i hope it works out well with this guy ^^ (or is it a girl ? o_o) Can someone translate this, please? 내마음도 몰라주는 시간은 자꾸만 흘러가는구나;;;;;;; 매년 그랬듯 허무하게 올해를 마무리 하고 싶지 않다 뭔가 계획을 짜보자 Thanks in advance. the time that doesn't even know my heart just keeps going by i dont want to end this year as disappointingly as every other let's make a plan of some sort. hope i helped ^^

Guest NJSK.
what does sa rang eh ran mean?? when you write it like '사랑이란......' it means somthing like 'love is......' it's like you're wondering about what love is. ^^ wow so what is "nice to meet you" in korean 만나서 반갑습니다. (mahn nah suh ban gab seum ni da) - honorific form 만나서 반가워. (mahn nah suh ban ga woh) - casual form. literally means 'it's nice to meet you' =)

Guest NJSK.
can someone please translate "let's work hard together!" in Korean for me? '우리 같이 힘내자!' (let's get some strength together !) there isn't really a word/phrase for 'work hard'.. or is there.. you could say '우리 열심히 일 하자!' (let's do our work with much concentration)
Guest KIM_SAYS:
My aunt just gave me some money today for Christmas. She didn't give it to me directly, but my dad went to see her and she told him to give it to me. My parents want me to thank her when I see her on Christmas...but I'm not quite sure what to say. Like would I say (please excuse the terrible romanization) "Dohn joh suh nuhmeuh gamsah hapnida?" I don't know...it doesn't sound right to me. Guest sweet_rain
^ Well, translating it directly, you'd be saying "thanks for giving me money" hahahaha...it sounds a bit unco eh? Since its Christmas also and the new year is coming up...u can say something like: 즐거운 성탄절과 새해를 맞이하세요. 용돈 주셔서 너무 감사합니다! (Jewl-Go-Ooon Song-Tan-Jol-gwa Sae-hae-Reul Maji-Haseo. Yong-Don Joo-Sheo-Soh NohMoo gamsah hapnida) ^First sentence is "I hope you spend a joyful Christmas and a happy new year". Then it sez "Thanks for giving me the Pocket money. "Yong Dohn" is a better word to use than just "Dohn" as u had it if it seems to convoluted for u...just add the "Yong" in front of "Dohn" in the sentence u had @ Hermit asians in general pronounces "R's" as "L's" and er's are eh's in most asian languages since er is european so "hermit" is "hehlmit" ~/ Lee KyungWon I disagree. "Hermit" will become "Hoh-Mit" or "Horl-Mit" (허미트 or 헐미트) In fact, "hehlmit" sounds more European, coz thats how the French people would pronounce "hermit"
