I just re-watched the first few episodes of iljimae. I forgot that Yeo Jingoo & Kim Yoojung played the child counterparts in that drama too! Super cute! They were so young in that drama! They're both going to have long and successful careers in acting!

They say she's 22 (the adult actress) but for the love of youth, the girl looks 14! blush.gif

ockoala has kindly translated the rest of the character descriptions. Click here to check them out.

I've only seen bits of the first two episodes, but the child actors were pretty adorable. Though I'm really waiting for Kim Soo-hyun to make his appearance as adult Hwon :P

I cant wait for KIM SOO HYUN as well! The child actors are awesome but hey the adult version would likely give us more admiration that they are just simply adorable!

Overall I am happy with the acting, but I  find  only Siwan aesthetically beautiful. Now, I mention personal taste, because for me that is the main factor that decides whether I find a drama squee-worthy or not. For example, I like City Hunter a lot as a drama; but since Lee Minho's ( BFF of Ilwoo) isn't my type, I don't find it as titillating compared to watching let's say acting-zero-but-beautiful-statue Kim Hyun Joong as Yoon Jihu.

Now it's going to be a slight issue for me once the adult actors come in because I like both Kim Soo Hyun and Jung Ilwoo. But these days I like Jung Ilwoo more so it is going to be definitely second lead syndrome for me

Sorry to cut your post :) I knew we shared love for wuri Il Woo, but I had no idea we had exactly the same taste!! :D

I love how you picked the best looking actor of young F4 and said he's the most compatible with Il Woo's features :D

I loved City Hunter as the whole show too, but as I mentioned it in JIW thread, I never really got swayed by LMH either. That's why I fell for Ji Hoo sunbae in Boys over flowers!

As for Soo Hyun x Il Woo. It's really tough, isn't it? I adore Soo Hyun. He's such a talented actor and he's so charming. I love him as country bumpkin :D He totally stole my heart in Dream High and I was hooked on Moon&Sun even before Il Woo joined in.

But Il Woo's my love, so it's going to be second lead syndrome for me as well! :D January 25th, please come faster!

Seriously, this boy named Lee Min Ho should really consider changing his stage name because whenever i see or hear Lee Min Ho i cannot stop thinking of that Lee Min Ho-you know who. he may not mind it now, but once he starts to become more popular, imagine when he or fans want to search his name. aigoo..

anyway, cant wait for the new episode, the meeting of Hwon and Yeonwoo weee~ Jin goo is so cute

and 2 more weeks left before we see the adult cast, super excited to see Song Sam Dong back!

so far i like the story, the characters and the cinematography of this drama.

but i think it kinda lack of OST, episode 2 seem so quiet to me. is it just me?

Uhm i agree with the actor Lee Minho >.< i hope he doesnt get anti fans because of his name and on nate lol the articles are mixed up, its making me dizzy because of the 2 Minhos.

OST of this drama is too weak and im not liking it, sometimes there are dramas that even with a not so strong storyline the OST pulls it. *sigh*

I really love the Two Suns, Two Moons concept!

Has anyone translated character descriptions directly from the website yet? Just in case, I'll translate some details because I love details! (Translations might not be that great.)

YunWoo, The moon that soaks in the sun

YunWoo, her father named her himself. The name means misty rain, also drizzle of rain.

But she is even more than that; she is as novel, refreshing, and invigorating as a cool rainshower pouring down beneath the blazing hot sun.

Like father like daughter, she is very intelligent and witty.

After entering the palace court, the fluttering in her heart turns into first love. She happily awaits the day she is to be married to Prince Hwon...

Then she suddenly falls sick to an unknown disease and is forced out of court.

She quietly closes her eyes in her father's arms.

'My name is shaman Wol.' She does not remember what happened to her eight years ago.

LeeHwon, The sun that paints the moon or The sun that longs for the moon

(Prince years)

LeeHwon is good-looking. He is clever. He is outrageously confident.

He has yet to learn the cruelty and dirty workings of politics. And so he laughs brightly amongst those who know that in court 'mere existence is dangerous.' Under Yeom's discipline, Hwon discovers the joys of academics and duties of being future king.

YunWoo opens Hwon's eyes to his responsibilites that reach beyond his court into his entire kingdom. Through her, he learns about the thrills of first love. He is elated to discover that his first love is to be his betrothed. However, YunWoo dies unexpectedly and BoKyung replaces her.

Now Hwon is no longer the immature prince he once was.

(King years)

He is cold. He is cynical. He seldom laughs.

He does not embrace his concubines let alone his queen.

During a tryst outside his court, he stops at shaman house for shelter from the rain. There he happens to meet her...

YangMyeong, The sad light hidden by the sun

YangMyeong is charming and magnetic.

Outwardly he is all smiles and easy laughs. Inwardly he hides an incredibly free spirit.

No. No one knows the amount of effort he makes in order to attain this independence.

He is first in line to succeed the King Hwon. Because of this, he is constantly overwhelmed with people around him, eyes on his every move.

Throughout his childhood, he was forever shadowed by Hwon, neglected even by his own father the king. Here he met YunWoo and learned the painful longing of love; however he had to give up his love for her; first when she became betrothed to Hwon, and then with her death. After YunWoo's death, YangMyeong falls into despair yet again.

Many years have passed.

But destiny has him face to face with Hwon again.

BoKyung, The mirror that aspires to be the moon

Here is how the people think of BoKyung: an angelic woman possessed of warmth and grace. With her reputation of gentleness and upright character, the entire court and people of the kingdom are on her side.

But this is only her outward appearance.

She has attained loyalty from the palace elders and the people... and especially the sympathy from powerful figures.

But all this is part of her plan... It was her father Lord Yoon who took BoKyung from her normal childhood and ultimately shaped her into an ambitious court player.

Everything is going according to plan... until Wol appears.

HeoYeom, The flame of fireworks with clipped wings

A rare genius. With his exceptional intelligence and handsome looks, he is a role model for everyone. (Studying was the easiest thing for him to do!)

Of course, he has his faults as well. He is conservative and old-fashioned, and also lacking in tact when it comes to dealing with women and relationships. The person who suffers from this most is Princess MinHwa.

When he becomes Prince Hwon's teacher at age 17, they become very close. However, tragedy begins when his younger sister YunWoo dies.

To this day, he blames himself for connecting Hwon and YunWoo.

Woon, The cloud that holds the rain

Everything he does is like a picture. The intense gaze of his eyes and the sharp nose.

With his tall height and good build, his long arms and legs, he is always a steady shadow in the background. His mere presence is a force to be reckoned with.

On top of that, at 23 years of age he is the Joseon dynasty's best martial artist, and also possesses exceptional judgment.

He holds a strong brotherhood with Yeom and YangMyeong.

And... There is one woman who made him into a true man.

YunWoo... No, shaman Wol... He is conflicted between his loyalty and pledge to his lord, and his love for YunWoo/Wol as a man.
