EDIT EDIT EDIT:

OKAYY scratch everything out

but can you help me? how do you stop whining? apparently, it's just every time my voice goes high pitched it's considered whining, but really..

i can't stay at one pitch or else i would sound like i'm monotone. help me guys!!!!!!

like girls that don't INTENTIONALLY whine, but can't help it..

just randomly goes.. NOO... >< (their voice)

but they also try to suck up whatever they are whining about?

ACTUALLY, nvm. i don't really know what i'm saying anymore

just.. do you get turned off by whiny girls?

edit: i don't mean.. being depressed

but more like.... uhh..

when people tease her and she goes "NOOOOOO.." but isn't really whining, but has a whiny voice

does that make sense?

or.. when she has to do something.. and goes "NOOO i can't believe i have to do this" (but doesn't complain about it to further extent.. and that's it)

just that, for some weird reason.. that NOOO always come out as whiny even if they try really hard not to make it happen

i hate girls who constantly complain about their life.

if they do it with a whiny voice, id dump her faster than a garbage truck dumps garbage on a landfill.

which is not that fast but you get the point.

I don't get turned off by whiny girls. But I have been turned down by them.

And what makes it worse is that they get even more whiny about it.

I don't see why any guy would want to hear a girl whine all the time. It can be cute sometimes but too much whining is annoying. I'm a girl btw. Just putting myself in a guy's shoes

This is possibly one of the most unorganized post I have ever read on Soompi.

Anyway yes I do get turned off by Whiny girls.

Well, in your situation with you teasing her, she probably just said "Noo~" as a response ("whining" is probably a good response to your tease? Unless you straight-out want her to get mad at what you did, lol). What were you doing? huh.gif

But whiny people (yeah, guys too) generally get me annoyed/frustrated and even reluctant to hang out with the person often because that kind of negative energy spreads. I prefer laughter over whiny, complainy company. And it's also because those people tend to go on and on about something.. I think I'm a good listener, as long as the person isn't whiny with their legitimate concerns and/or complaints about something worth complaining about.

It can be cute. My sister has that "whine-y" voice. It works for her and guys really seem to dig that stuff, especially while flirting. I think if you do it right and have a certain demeanor, it will pull at people's heartstrings. I know that I could never pull that off. My voice is very low and chillaxed and I walk like a mother, apparently.. I remember attempting to make a sad face once and a guy friend was like: "ew.."

I personally find faked voices annoying, and if a whine-y voice happens to sound faked, then yeah. I also don't enjoy witnessing people flirt, lol, and excessive complaining. As for how guys would feel, I'm sure they'd dislike it if it were done wrong.

i like power and self-confidence in my women, and whining is a sign of weakness

unintentional whining is definitely a turn-off

whining as in complaining about stuff that i wouldn't complain about

i don't give a mini cooper so much if she's doing it to be obnoxious

obnoxious women are hottt

she just better not whine like them j-porn actresses when i'm banging her

Don't whine/complain. Don't stress your words so it sounds like:

"OPPPAAAAA Why are you so meannnnn??? *pout*"

OP: it depends on the context/situation... saying noooo could be whining or flirting depending on context, situation, and tone.

I know that whining voice... I have a colleague that has that voice. I simply cannot stand it. I even feel sorry for her, because sometimes she talks some pretty serious stuff but it still sounds like she is whining. It's hard to take her seriously because of that voice. Everyone just wants to walk away from her asap as if the voice generates headaches. There should be speech therapy for these people to fix that voice. I think it turns off people regardless of gender.
