Kim Rae-won and Soo-ae's "A Thousand Days' Promise" by writer Kim Su-hyun is getting a lot of attention, even before its release.

The new SBS drama "A Thousand Days' Promise" started shooting at the end of August and is due to be broadcasted on the 17th of October. The cast includes, Soo -ae, Kim Rae-won, Lee Sang-woo, Jeong Yoo-mi, Park Yoo-hwan, Kim Hae-sook, Park Yeong-gyoo, Lee Mi-sook and others, as they are being called 'writer Kim Su-hyun's army'.

The officials for "A Thousand Days' Promise" said, "It's true that it's been drawing a lot of attention just for the fact that it's a melodrama created by Kim Su-hyun and producer Jeong Eul-yeong. In addition, the combined forces of talented actors and actresses both middle aged and new, also known as the 'Kim Su-hyun army' have people anticipating the debut".

Thousand Day Promise Releases Official Character Stills of its Four Leads

Folks, we’ve got here the first official pictures of the four leads in the upcoming SBS drama Thousand Day Promise, starring Kim Rae Won, Su Ae, Lee Sang Woo, and Jung Yumi. Looking good, looking very very good. I love the simplicity of how all four characters look, a very down-to-earth and mature vibe. Which is not surprising considering writer Kim Soo Hyun‘s previous works always strive to be relatable and sincere. She’s kinda the opposite of Kim Eun Sook, whose dramas I either love or hate. TDP has been filming since early September, but it’s promotional cycle will probably just start cranking up come end of the month since the 6-episode extension of Warrior Baek Dong Soo will delay it’s premiere by three weeks.

In the drama, Su Ae plays Seo Yeon, a woman who is slowly losing her memory, and Kim Rae Won is Ji Hyung, the man who loves her. Playing Seo Yeon’s cousin and Ji Hyung’s best friend will be Lee Sang Woo, who becomes a pillar of support for the couple. Jung Yumi plays a cheerful chaebol daughter who is the arranged marriage fiancee of Ji Hyung. Adding to this cast will be Park Yoo Hwan (the younger brother of Mickey Yoochun), playing the younger brother of Seo Yoon, a character described as energetic and forthright. I read that its gonna be a 20-episode melodrama ~~ the script-writer Kim Soo Hyun twitted (9/11) that shes finished writing episode 10 ...

RaeWon also told fans at 9/18 Japan fan meeting that he has already shot a few scenes of Episode 10 ... but it doesnt mean he has done filming the 1st 10 episodes... juz that he 'jumped' shooting the scenes on related locations ...

Wave Middy - I've been occupied myself learning and testing how to hard sub. I want to make myself ready for when the drama start so I can hard sub my fav bits and post it...hihi.

You and 71e are great, Thank you for those posters... Somehow the more I look the more I see Soo Ae and Rae Won look similar, is it the nose? Or am I seeing things?

Personally I don't want to put my high hope on the thing about real coupling thing, because if it turn out no good no chemistry and it would be much disappointed (eg. Athena - Jung Woo Sung and Soo Ae). I don't know Soo Ae personally but just by the look of her, I think she's a serious person, maybe a cold one? I might be wrong and I t hope I am ...haha.

I've watched most of her dramas, movies, and the only time she made me cry is Love Letter. So I have wait for this one to see.

Talking about the Writer Kim Soo Hyun, is she really that famous? I've looked at her previous dramas tempting to watch but the actors and actresses are not that appealing so I gave up.

Just loved KRW since the beginnig of this year,,as my recall i heard his name round 5 years ago but never watched any of his works. The first one that he a little bit attracted me is Wuri's family ,,,he 's very arrogant but good lookinhg there. This is 3 years ago,,,then the latest time i watch LOVE STORY in HARDVERD from my local TV which reruned for 2nd time. OH.....i feel very impressed w/ this series and Falling in love both KRW and KTH especially ...amazing KRW. .......AFTERWARDS ...i finded out to watch all his dramas , movies as possible as i can..Till to this coming soon THOUSANDS days promise.

10월 17일 첫 방송되는 <천일의 약속> 두 주인공 수애와 김래원의 애틋함이 담긴 타이틀 촬영 사진이 공개돼 두 사람의 사랑이 어떻게 전개될지에 대한 기대감을 높이고 있다.

극중 기억을 잃어가는 여자 서연(수애)과 그 연인을 향해 순애보적 사랑을 보내는 지형(김래원)으로 분한 두 사람은 마치 실제 연인인 듯한 착각을 불러일으킬 정도여서 두 사람이 선보일 연인 모습 역시 기대가 모아지고 있다.

지난 8월 말부터 촬영에 들어간 드라마 <천일의 약속>은 김수현 작가가 4년 만에 선보이는 정통 멜로드라마로 진정한 사랑이 무엇인지를 작품에 녹여낼 예정이다.

I’m ridiculously excited for this drama, despite the fact that it’s a melodrama and destined to be a tear-jerker. I LOVE Su Ae, and JB LOVES Kim Rae-won (I’m not allowed to love him. In fact I can only say his name three times in this article or else she’ll start a rampage.) so I think it’s safe to say we’re on pins and needles for this drama.

The latest drama by acclaimed screenwriter Kim Soo-hyun centers around a heroine struggling with memory loss (as in, her memory begins to deteriorate, not amnesia from the get-go). Kim Rae-won plays the stalwart boyfriend who stands by her side, as they struggle to hold onto their love. I think it’s a great premise, and one that’s similar to a story like Scent of a Woman, except it gets to explore significantly different themes. It’s a race against the clock, but in a different, and I think more compelling way.

And best of all, it’s been in production since late August, and the scripts are in for ten of the sixteen episodes. That means no rushing, no crap live shoots, no half-assed editing on the fly. The story is engaging, the cast is A-list, and I trust the writer. In a nutshell, most anticipated drama of the fall.

You  definitely  sold me on this… so  psyched! Kim Rae Won is just so  magnetic. I think  the first thing I  ever watched with him was Attic Cat.  I know he  won’t disappoint w/  this. Pair him up w/ another pro like Su  Ae, and  I’m there.

I HATE tearjerkers!!! It’s made me teary over every little thing that happens in life now!! UGH…I’m essentially a crybaby now.. which I was NEVER, EVER before. I used to be hardcore man…tsk

Ahhh,  so  excited for KRW’s return! The cast is marvelous and the story  a  promise. The thing that attracts me the most about this drama  (after  KRW) is the pre-production detail. Quality over quantity! Can’t  wait~~!

Another Su Ae drama!!! yay!!!

I have been anticipating this drama like crazy. The premise reminds me of Son Ye Jin and Jung Woo Sung's A Moment to Remember and I cried buckets watching that movie and I think I'll be crying a river in this one. Both leads look good together in the stills and I can't wait to watch the episode but if they could just release a preview... it wouldn't be so bad to give us little treats...

October is really my month... Is it weird I'm anticipating for this more than my birthday? Still a few more weeks to its premiere...

This will be the second time I will be seeing Su Ae work together with Lee Sang Woo, the first that I saw was 9 Ends 2 Outs which was also really good.

I'm glad that the drama is start to roll, I hope it rolls as far and long as it possible can... I'm a fan of Soo Ae, so I sincerely hope that Soo Ae will shine again in this drama together with Rae Won.

I read that it will only be 16 episodes and I thought 20 is way too short to see Soo Ae - Rae Won
