Synopsis (MBC Global): After six years of marriage... Jae-mi was tricked by her husband into signing divorce papers. This drama is a story of her comeback after rebounding from a divorce! Jae-mi is a perfectionist or at least tries to be one. After her father whom she was very close with had an affair, which resulted in a divorce that shattered the family, she became wary of smart men. So she married Jung-soo who was not so bright. With her strong support, Jung-soo was able to make his restaurant business a success and he couldn’t have done it without Jae-mi. As their financial situation improves, her husband buys her three round-trip plane tickets to a tropical island as a wedding anniversary gift and tells her to have fun with her mom and aunt. Jae-mi had no idea that the trip was part of a plan by her husband to break up their marriage.

She tries to be a perfectionist and believes she’s as smart as hell but she’s far from being the sharpest tool in the shed. Ten years ago her dad, whom she admired so much, had an affair and divorced her mother. The betrayal of her father had a profound effect on her relationships with men. So she ends up marrying Han Jung-soo who isn’t a great match for her. But with her help, their porridge restaurant becomes a big success. After delaying having a child due to their restaurant business, she finally decides the time is right to conceive a child. In the sixth year of their marriage, Jae-mi goes to a fertility clinic with her husband so that she can take a fertility test. Her husband surprises her with three plane tickets for her, her mother and aunt as a wedding anniversary present... She wasn’t aware that the trip to the tropical island was part of her husband’s plan to divorce her.

The news of her pregnancy makes him determined to divorce his wife. After divorcing her husband who had an affair, she supports her daughter Jae-mi by getting a job. She is not happy that her daughter Jae-mi married Jung-soo who is not that bright. But their marriage turns out alright as Jae-mi makes the couple’s restaurant business a success. Thinking she has nothing to worry about her daughter’s marriage, she goes on a trip with Jae-mi that was paid for by Jae-mi’s husband. But her trip is spoiled when she meets her ex-husband Hyung-do there...

Cheon Ho Jin as Kang Hyung Do

He was a good father, husband and provider. He also had a solid reputation as an esteemed surgeon but he gave that all up when he had an affair with Joo-li. When his wife divorces him, his life spirals out of control. Living with Joo-li is miserable as she is a shopaholic who rings up massive credit card bills every month. She hardly does the housework so he finds himself doing the dishes all the time. He even aged quicker and looks 10 years older than his actual age because of Joo-li. But a ray of hope appears in his life when he meets his ex-wife Jung-hee again...

Thanks to having a mother who owns a beauty salon, she entered many beauty contests where she won a Photogenic Award once. This helped her nab a job as a correspondent to a TV show. Due to her lack of talent, she doesn’t get much work in show business though. However, she believes she’s an A-list celebrity when she’s not. She relies on her mother to pay her credit card bills...

Yoon Hyun Sook as Oh Jeong Shim

Jae-mi’s aunt and Jung-hee’s younger sister. She has no job or money. She is a silly person who is quick to burst into tears over minor matters. She married young while in college but after seven years of marriage, she could not conceive a child, which her mother-in-law found to be unacceptable. Her husband’s family finally forced him to divorce her because she couldn’t bear children. Now she’s back in the marriage market. She’s not a good judge of men and ends up being swindled out of her money by some of her dates. But she doesn’t stop hoping of having a child of her own one day.

Former singer and actress Yoon Hyeon-sook will return to home screens after three years of absence

In the MBC drama "Hooray for Love" Yoon Hyeon-sook is a divorced woman Oh Jeong-sim. She is the yongest sister of Oh Jeong-hee (Bae Jong-ok) and Kang Jae-mi's (Lee Bo-yeong) aunt. She is a warmhearted character who gives up her dream of having a child after living 7 years with a guy she met in college but getting divorced because they can't conceive a child.

Yoon Hyeon-sook debuted with the group Jam in 1992 and was in a duo group Koko with Lee Hye-young in 1994 before turning into an actress. She was in "Merry Mary" and was last in MBC drama "Bitter Sweet Life" last 2008.

Meanwhile, "Hooray for Love" is about a woman who succeeds reality and the cast includes Lee Bo-yeong, Bae Jong-ok, Cheon Ho-jin and more. It will be broadcasted in the middle of July after "Can You Hear My Heart".

Jin I-han picked for "Hooray For Love"... fills the gap

"Gladly accepted the request", says production.

Actor Jin I-han will be filling the gap for Jeong Seok-won.

Jin I-han has been chosen as the savior of new MBC weekend drama, "Hooray for Love". He's filling the gap which was made due to Jeong Seok-won stepping down. MBC drama department says, "It wouldn't have been an easy choice to make but Jin I-han gladly accepted it. He will start shooting soon".

Jin I-han and writer Park Hyeon-joo who wrote "Hooray for Love" have a unique relationship. Last year, Jin I-han's KBS 1TV drama "Good Days when the Wind Blows" and Kim Hyeon-joo's MBC drama "Life is Good" had a battle. Kim Hyeon-joo took the victory. The department says, "They have met again as friends and not foes. We hope they work well together".

Jin I-han has the role of Lee Bo-yeong's husband Han Jeong-soo.

"Hooray for Love" with cast Jin I-han, Lee Bo-yeong, Lee Tae-seong and more, will be following the current drama "Can You Hear my Heart" in July.

Seo In Young to make drama cameo in MBC’s “Hooray for Love”

It has recently been announced that singer Seo In Young will be making a cameo on MBC’s upcoming drama, “Hooray for Love“, making this her second drama cameo since SBS’s “Style” three years earlier.

In “Hooray for Love” – written by Park Hyun Joo and produced by Joo Sung Woo – Seo In Young will play the girlfriend of the male lead, Dong Woo, who will be played by Lee Tae Sung.

Seo In Young will take on the role of a girlfriend seeking revenge on her boyfriend for not marrying her. Her character will only appear in the drama for three episodes.

Seo In Young has already started filming, and on June 8th, she was seen filming a scene on the beaches of Guam while practicing yoga and thinking of ways to get revenge on her boyfriend. Through this particular scene, Seo In Young reportedly earned respect from the producers.

In regards to the drama, she said, “At first, the set and my character were a bit awkward. However, after realizing I was filming in beautiful Guam with other good actors, I became happy because it felt like I was in a different world.”

"Hooray For Love" Lee Tae-seong "Forget the upright guy"

Actor Lee Tae-seong has taken off the upright look and is showing a new look.

Lee Tae-seong is lawyer Byeon Dong-woo in the new MBC weekend drama "Hooray for Love".

Byeon Dong-woo is Crystal (Kim Soo-mi) and Byeon Choon-nam's (Park In-hwan) son and brother to Byeon Joo-ri (Byeon Jeong-soo). He's only a lawyer by image who doesn't care about work and welcomes those women who come and takes care of those who leave.

Lee Tae-seong said, "I am about to show you a very free character unlike the upright image I have shown you all the while. I am in a relationship with Jae-mi (Lee Bo-yeong) but I will work to convey a deep mellow feeling".

"Hooray for Love" is a comic home drama about a woman who overcomes reality after being betrayed by her husband. The cast includes, Lee Bo-yeong, Jin I-han, Lee Tae-seong, Bae Jong-ok, Cheon Ho-jin, Kim Soo-mi, Byeong Jeong-soo, Yoon Hyeon-sook and more. It is to be released after "Can You Hear my Heart" in mid July.

Actor Lee Tae-seong and actress Seo In-young acted together.

Playboy lawyer Byeon Dong-woo kissed Seo In-young who is making a special appearance in the MBC weekend drama "Hooray for Love".

In a hotel in Guam on the 8th, a womanizer but skilled Dong-woo kissed and said goodbye to In-young (Seo In-young) who had been following him around and wanting to get married.

Lee Tae-seong managed to pull off the womanizer lawyer Byeon Dong-woo act very well and Seo In-young expressed determination and anger at Dong-woo who dumped her.

After the shoot Lee Tae-seong said, "I've always wanted to try the bad guy" and Seo In-young said, "I've always been the strong character but being dumped is quite different".

Being in a drama for the first time in 2 years after "Style" in 2009, Seo In-young is making 3 special appearances in "Hooray for Love" and will be acting In-young flaming with rage.

"Hooray for Love" is a comic drama in which a woman who was betrayed by her husband steps over things and overcomes reality. The cast includes, Lee Bo-yeong, Lee Tae-seong, Bae Jong-ok, Cheon Ho-jin, Jin Yi-han, Byeon Jeong-soo, Kim Soo-mi, Yoon Hyeon-sook and more. Coming in mid-July.

"Hooray For Love" gets into TOP 5

[september 25, 2011]

MBC weekend drama "Hooray for Love" is on the verge of breaking through 20% and stepped into the TOP 5.

According to AGB Neilsen Media Research on the 26th, "Hooray for Love" on the 24th and 25th rated 19.3% and 17.7%. With an average of 18.5% this weekend, it came in 5th all throughout the week's programs.

"Hooray for Love" has a viewer percentage in its late 10% after starting off in the early 10%. The episode on the 24th recorded it's best of 19.3%.

Meanwhile, in first place is KBS "Ojak Brothers" with 24.8% and in second place is KBS "Our Women" with 23.8%.

Third place comes KBS "The Princess' Man" with 23.8% and in fourth place KBS "Gag Concert" with 18.9%.
