Rice Cakes and Hot Pepper Paste

Other usages?
I bought a two packs of rice cakes and a container of hot pepper paste to make ddeokbokki because I was curious if it's THAT good or not.

Turns out I don't really like it. I don't know if it was the way I made it but whatever. All I know is that I don't want to make it again and I have another packet of rice cakes and a container of hot pepper paste sitting in the fridge.

Are there any other usages of the two items? Especially the rice cake because I know the paste can be used in different ways.

ddukbokki is like my favorite food but I can never make it at home, it never comes out right.

I always put duk in my ramen.

Make duk gook, chicken/beef stock with eggs, scallions, beef and jabchae noodles if I have it.

I've also pan fried it and mixed it with sauted baby bok choy and panchetta, got the idea from momofuku in NY.
