Eunjung’s husband for “We Got Married” revealed!

201103301845401001_1.jpg

Ever since we announced that T-ara’s Ham Eunjung was picked up to be the new ‘wife’ for MBC’s “We Got Married“, the site has been buzzing over who her lucky husband would be. Unfortunately for all you “Dream High” fans, it’s not her former co-star, Kim Soo Hyun.

In fact, Eunjung’s husband will be none other than actor Lee Jang Woo (25)!

A program representative stated, “There were over 100 candidates who auditioned and we were in the midst of finding a good match of characters. As the show progressed, new couples came in for interviews. Lee Jang Woo and Ham Eunjung were 2 out of 100 that were considered and chosen eventually.”

Lee Jang Woo debuted as an actor back in 2006, and is currently starring in the KBS2TV daily drama, “Smile, Donghae“. He was also a member of a 2009 SM project group called 24/7 (no longer active), whose members included Hyun Woo (a current ‘Music Bank‘ MC) and actor Noh Min Woo.

Interestingly enough, Lee Jang Woo is a cousin to singer/actor Hwanhee, who had participated previously in “We Got Married” with singer Hwayobi.

The new couple began filming on the afternoon of March 30th, and their first episode will be aired on April 9th. They will replace the outgoing Jung Yonghwa and Seohyun couple.

Lee Jang Woo said to be “glowing” after his “We Got Married” shoot with Eunjung

201103311820551001_1.jpg

It looks like actor Lee Jang Woo has fully embraced his role as Eunjung’s husband!

A representative of Lee’s agency, Made-M, revealed: “After the first shoot, it seems that Lee Jang Woo’s heart is a-flutter. Even though it was a long recording, he didn’t get tired and enjoyed his time. He is still glowing.”

The representative continued, “From the first filming, he seems to have gotten very close with his ‘virtual bride’, Ham Eunjung. He already speaks informally with her. However, they have not exchanged phone numbers yet.”

allkpop reported earlier that Lee Jang Woo and T-ara’s Eunjung had their first “We Got Married” shoot on the 30th. As it turns out, they started filming at 8:00 PM (after the filming of Lee’s current drama, ”Smile, Donghae“) and did not end until 4:00 AM the next day.

Interestingly enough, it was discovered that Lee Jang Woo’s manager went to great lengths to make sure Lee Jang Woo didn’t find out the identity of his ‘wife’. The first episode for all new couples requires them to be oblivious of their future partner’s identity. Thus, the manager forced Lee to hand over his cell phone so that he wouldn’t find out who would be his ‘bride’

“We Got Married” to add one more couple

After confirming that T-ara’s Eunjung and actor Lee Jang Woo would be the newest additions to the show, the producers of MBC’s “We Got Married” have revealed that they’ve got one more surprise up their sleeve.

On April 1st, the producers stated, “We are currently considering adding one more couple to the show. Although we haven’t confirmed any stars yet, we do have several that we are looking over. We will be adding them as fast as we can.”

When asked about Nichkhun and Victoria, they replied, “The couple still has many stories left to tell, so they will be continuing on the show. For now, we have decided to continue with three couples, including Eunjung and Lee Jang Woo.”

The producers were then asked about Eunjung and Jang Woo’s progress, to which they responded, “It was their first meeting, so thing were a bit awkward, but recording took place in a fun environment. Jang Woo has the gift of gab in addition to a comical personality, so he did well in leading everything. A camera staff member (who has been with the show since episode one) even went as far as to choose Eunjung and Jang Woo as one of the top three funniest couples in the show’s history.”

They continued, “Eunjung is a girl that any guy would like, and Lee Jang Woo is the type of guy that any girl would like. We definitely think that they’ll be working well together.”

Their first episode will broadcast on April 9th.

T-ara’s Eunjung and Lee Jang Woo meet for the first time on “We Got Married”

2011040917471925686_1.jpg

After much anticipation, the first episode of the newly “wedded” couple of T-ara’s Eunjung and handsome actor Lee Jang Woo was finally broadcast this weekend!

Lee Jang Woo arrived first at a small theater in Seoul where they had planned to meet, and upon her arrival, the actor turned on the stage lights and sweet music and finally introduced himself through the mic in a romantic manner.

The actor then finally came onto the stage and they officially introduced each other face to face. On the day, Eunjung had brought along a little notepad of what she’s always wanted to do when in relationships, and also gifted Lee Jang Woo with a cute couple ring that she had made when she was younger.

During their conversation, the two found out that they were majoring in the same acting major at the same college, Dong Kuk University, with Lee Jang Woo being Eunjung’s senior. As a way to break the ice, Lee Jang Woo got Eunjung to undergo freshman hazing by dancing on the spot without any music.

When asked about her first meet with Lee Jang Woo, Eun Jung expressed, “I think his voice at the beginning was really awesome. A voice that you hear in a coffee advertisement. He was also very pretty. He looked like a deer.”

With regards to the hazing, Eunung laughed and stated, “I wondered to myself where I was. I wondered whether I was here to meet my husband or if I was at school. We were talking about my singing when it suddenly turned to that.”

Meanwhile, Lee Jang Woo expressed, “I could’ve never even imagined it. The moment she entered, I turned into ice.” With regards to the hazing, the actor laughed and said, “We were there to become a married couple, but it was really cute seeing her military-disciplined behavior.”

‘We Got Married’ Lee Jang Woo gains much attention with his past photo

by phenom on April 21, 2011 at 11:02 am

20110421_lee_jangwoo.jpg

Actor Lee Jang Woo, who’s currently a couple with T-ara’s Eunjung on  MBC’s “We Got Married“ , has caught netizens by surprise after past photos of his ‘reggae hairstyle’ hit online community boards.

Recently, the pictures were uploaded onto internet portal sites under the title, “Camellia’s deputy manager’s past”. Camellia is the name of the hotel in KBS 1TV’s “Smile, Donghae” – where Lee Jang Woo is currently playing the role of ‘Kim Do Jin’.

The pictures were released in 2007 with the title “Cornrow Z, extension cornrow 10 rows: Dongguk University’s theater major guests” through a website shop, Crazy Dread, which specialized in unique and reggae hairstyles. In the pictures, Lee Jang Woo is sporting cornrows in a bright, red jacket – staring into the camera with an imposing look. This is a very different look from his current smooth image.

In addition, Crazy Dread stated, “If you do this in your next black role, you will seem really cool! Act well. We will see you on TV. We hope you become a great actor.”

Netizens commented, “I was completely shocked after seeing this picture”, “I can’t believe this kind of past was hiding”, “I’m really glad he doesn’t have this hair now”, and “I want to see him in a full black disguise.”

What do you think of this look on Lee Jang Woo?

^ ^ LOL! This takes me back when I tried cornrows on my mane. I cried after taking them out, however, I knew the damage was only temporary. At least now LJW got it out of his system/curiosity. I really love his hair on WGM. Anyhow, cornrows or not, his healthy scalp is attractive.

EDIT:

Actor Lee Jang Woo gave his fans a visual treat through his latest photospread for “Elle Girl” magazine.

To begin, Lee Jang Woo surprised the staff on set when he arrived 20 minutes early before the promised time. Since he’s known to have a busy schedule with his reality program, “We Got Married“, staff members were pleased with his professional and respectful manners.

Because it was also his first photoshoot, he expressed a bit of shyness when dressed in pieces that weren’t usually his style.

In the interview, he gave fans a glimpse into his personal ambitions. “I’m a fan of Jude Law,” he expressed. “I’ve seen nearly every film he’s starred in, but my favorite is ‘Alfie’, which he starred in withSienna Miller. I want to become an actor like him in that he’s able to pull anything off with a trendy charm. Even as he grows older, his charm still remains the same.”

When asked about “We Got Married”, he replied, “I worried a lot because Eunjung-ssi is an idol.  She’s actually very tomboyish and has an innocent charm to her that makes me feel at ease. I think the program did well in capturing me as who I really am.”

Concluding the interview, he stated, “I’m just now feeling the accomplishment of having starred in a drama that achieved 40% in viewer ratings.  People are beginning to recognize me.  In the future, if someone were to ask me to choose one thing I did best in my 20s, I’d confidently reply with, ‘Acting the role of Dojin’.”

Check out his full photoshoot through the June edition of “Elle Girl”.
