Guest murrkoh*
Dude that's offensive. People get braces so they can fix their crooked teeth. Sometimes your bite needs to be fixed as well or else your brain or skull won't function properly or something like that. I don't remember. I had braces and I'm very proud of my teeth. I don't ppl would like to look at crooked teeth anyway. And besides we are not insecure people just because we are wanting or asking about the surgery itself. Dude you have to realize that almost 90% of hollywood is fake. Celebs everywhere in the world had had surgery someway or another. Surgery is not really a fake thing anymore. Besides technically this isnt surgery because we're not stuffing or taking out anything it's just a cut right? so pls stop your useless and offensive posts. And to "Msz_Gorgeous", we are not bashing on you, we're just asking you to post your pretty picture of your eye somewhere else. It belongs in the 411 thread Thank you ANyways I'm planning to get this surgery next year if the eye tape works. DO anyone know where I can buy them? o.o;; and do they really work. My friend used it for two weeks straight and it works for her do'nt use them...they stretch your lids out. i speak from experience...=T
Guest KIM_SAYS:
So I want to get my eyes done, but the thing is I have really bad eyesight also and want to get Lasik. My mom heard somewhere that you shouldn't get both done so soon after the other. I don't really see why not though... My mom wants me to get Lasik first next year when I'm 18 so that they won't be a hassle during college. And that means she wants me to wait a few years to get ssang gah peul. I don't want to wait that long. SO what I'm asking is does it really matter if I do both surgeries one so soon after the other? And did you of you girls who got it done use tape/glue before? If so, for how long?

Guest aznxchica
Hi everyone, WOW! All of your results looks so pretty! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences; they really helped me. I have an appointment to get the surgery on the 29th of this month, and I'm pretty nervous. I'm one of those weirdos who have one double eyelid and one single eyelid -_______- I was just wondering how long does it take for your eyes to pass for normal after the surgery? because I have SAT summer school TWO days after the surgery. JUST TWO! and I'm really worried everyone's going to notice and stare at me. I was sorta hoping this was something that people would think was natural >< Could you guys please tell me how long it took for your eyes to look remotely normal again after the surgery please? It would really help a lot! THANKS! PS - Please don't PM me; this is my best friend's account, and I don't want her to know anything about this >< Thank you so much everyone! If so, for how long? i suggest getting lasik when you're a little bit older because at around 18 most people's eyes still change a lot. i'm planning to get lasik done when i finish college, or later if my eyes are still not so stable. i don't think there is much concern for getting one surgery after the other. i think recovery time for lasik is just sleeping for a few hours...at least that's what someone who did it told me. aznxchica: i think two days is a bit short...even though i didn't have much swelling or bruising, i still kept my sunglasses on the whole day when i went out. but it also depends on how well you recover, so just relax when you go through the surgery. my doctor said that the more you strain, there will be mroe swelling and bruising afterwards

Guest A Beautiful Struggle
[EDIT 4.6.2009] I thought I should finally edit this and let everyone know of my experience (as well as the experience of younger my sister) I am NOT happy with the way my eyes turned out. When i met him, he was young, very nice, and very charismatic so i chose him instead of the other (older) doctor that my mom suggested (which now that i think about it, i probably should have gone with him as he was more experienced), and now i regret it. I spent $3000 for double eyelids that did nothing to my eye size. i have fairly small eyes and double eyelid surgery is supposed to make it bigger as well as adding on the double eyelid, but dr harrison didnt even tell me the option of cutting the corners of my eyes. After calling him after the surgery he was very abrupt with me and blamed ME (i was 16 years old at the time) for not asking. Um.. hello? You're a freaking plastic surgeon. You should be letting ME know all the options that i have - and Epicanthoplasty is VERY appropriate for me because i have the inner corner fold. And now because i have the procedure done already, i dont know if i can get it cut later (from someone else, of course) and if it would have the same natural-look effect [that you get from having it done simultaneous to double eyelid surgery]. I do plan to go to Korea and get my eyes redone. This means that I'm going to have to find a place to stay, pay for plane tickets, and pay another doctor to get the procedures that I shouldve gotten the first time. Also, my mom refuses to pay for my second surgery, so I have to work my butt off while studying (hopefully to go to med school - and this will NOT be easy) to pay for EVERYTHING myself. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with my experience. He really did do the utmost MINIMUM that he couldve done - while OVERCHARGING me. My sister got her eyes done from him a year or two after (even after hearing that i was not happy with him) and now she has a scar on one of her eyes - nothing dramatic, but when you look her in the eyes, you'll notice a white bump/scar right above the inside corner of her eyes. It doesnt scream "SCAR", but it is definitely noticeable. Now she has to go and pay someone to get it removed. DO NOT PM ME, as I have nothing more to say. NO, I will not post up pictures of my eyes. I WILL repost in this topic after my second surgery, and let everyone know of my experience. - IF ANYONE CAN RECOMMEND A GOOD DOCTOR (IN KOREA) FOR ME, I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE THIS. Guest Lucystar
er.. I have one double and one single. I must be the saddest one here :( I have that too . It's super annoying. I kind of want to get surgery on just that one eye but then it'll probably turn out looking all crooked. :| WHOOO!! I got my ssangapoohl surgery yesterday! <3 So my eyes are freaking SWOLLEN. The doctor took out some fat too.. but because it's so swollen.. it looks like he injected some in. xD I got the incision done, because it's much more accurate, and it WILL NOT come off, unlike the other method. I got it done in Beverly Hills, LA because i couldnt go all the way to Korea.. But my doctor was named one of the best plastic surgeons in America.. so good for me. =D He was also good looking and really nice and funny (lol). I'll post up after pics.. since i dont have any before. -o- I can't wait to see your results!! Do you live in Socal?
Guest kangxbyul
what about the people that have contacts?? you can't really lift your eyelid when it's all swollen and sensitive right? so what's the best thing you can do ... just wear glasses? >.<
Guest demonicxsecrets
^^ I was just wondering that too. Is it okay to wear contacts just as long as I don't have to lift my eyelid in order to put it in? Because I'm getting sick of walking around outside blindly with my non-prescription sunglasses. And just to warn other people who want to consider using tape or glue....DON'T DO IT. I know from experience. It stretched out my eyelids a little bit and made them kinda funky. Which resulted in me getting this surgery early. Otherwise, I probably would have waited until right before college which is only a two years difference. Guest kangxbyul
Well the incision method, the doctor said that you could wear contacts the next day - but it's not recommended. Just wear glasses for about a month No biggie, right? thank you for replying ^^ btw, what's the incision method?

Guest haneul love
Nah, just leave it alone for now and wait for the surgery..I'm sorry haneul love, what was your previous question that no one answered? oh the previous one, lol i just called the office and they answered my question. it's okay :] but yea incision - they cut ur eyelid so the line stays there longer but it leaves a scar sometimes non-incision they pinch like parts of ur eyelid skin but the line disappears often and there's this new method being used in Japan where they put two stiches on the patients' eyes and twist the skin o.o i don't really know how to explain it.. but i'm getting mine done on August 5th with this method so i'll make sure to post pictures !!
