Guest singerchick
I'm not sure if this has already been discussed, but if your eyes are small, will double eyelid help a lot? Or will it just add a crease? Also, isn't there an operation that like cuts your eyes, part of the skin so that the actual eye opening is bigger? Mz Cr1-CrI
My Experience-!! I just got my ssang gah pul surgery about 9 hours ago,ha. I just got it done here where I live, Atlanta, rather than going to Korea or LA or something. The doctor was good, he was recommended by my aunt. There are two asian plastic surgeons in Atlanta that I know of, one is Korean and the other is Vietnamese. The Korean doctor was going to charge like $500 more than the Vietnamese guy and they both studied at the same schools and you know are pretty much equal. So I got it done with the Vietnamese doctor, Khuong Nguyen. Cost $1000, which is pretty good price. I wasn't nervous at all for some reason. I just sat in this dentist-like chair and the nurse cleaned my face and put my hair in a plastic cap and some other protective coverings and gave me an antibiotic. Then the doctor put some numbing medicine in my eye and injected some kind medication (I'm assuming it was local anesthesia). The injections were the absolute worst part of the procedure they hurt like crazy. That's why my left eye is more swollen than my right eye because I strained and tensed up when he applied the injection in the left. Other than that all I could hear was the doctor cutting and stitching and a faint sound of the radio. He asked me to open my eyes from time to time.Afterwards, they sat me up and gave me a mirror and to my horror twas a red puffy eyed monster in my reflection. Total procedure took about 45 minutes. Whenever I sneeze my eyes feel like they're going to explode. Hopefully with my many ice packs at the ready, the swelling will go down a bit. I hope my results will turn out as pretty as the people here who have posted pictures of theirs! And as soon as my eyes look presentable I'll post up some pics. I don't want to scare everybody with my eyes at their current state. I'm Korean and 16 yrs old almost 17 by the way, in case anyone was randomly wondering. My eyelids must be in eyelid hell. whoa~~ where in Atlanta??? i want to see da before n after pic after ur eyes is healin... i want to get double eyelid surgery too but i dont kneo when.. need 2 talk to my parent about dat hehe

Guest demonicxsecrets
umm, was this incision or non incision? and the shots... are they REALLY painful? OH! i hope your eyes come out really nice It was incision. Yeah they shots were pretty painful he gave me about 4 shots in each eye. But it takes less than a minute to do. So I guess if you really want double eyelids you'll just have to tolerate and just go with the pain. x[ Thanks!

Guest
i have a question. a lot of my friends have been telling me that your double eyelid gradually disappears (not disappear, but less distinct than how it used to be in the beginning) after three years and celebrities usually get it done more than once to prevent it. is that true? and is it also true that your eyelid sags when you reach your forties if you get it done? Guest MONICA
it seems like it's disappearing because the swelling is actually going away. for cosmetic surgery, i heard on some makeover tv show like the swan or extreme makeover that it takes a year for the actual results to show up. actual results meaning what it will look like forever. and the eyelid sagging thing is called aging. everyone goes through it unless you are botox crazy, but that's a different story. haha. Thanks, I have one double eyelid that looks normal. And the other one looks all weird and small. Is there any way to cut the outter eyelid instead of the inner eyelid? I'm afraid may eyes may end up looking up too close together. Also approx, how much $ extra is that? Thanks for the help!
Guest JAMIECHOI
jamie---your eyelids definately look SUPER natural... but the eyelids are tiny!... when he experimented on you with the metal stick, is that what you looked like? did you want it that small? your doctor seems cool, but if i were to go there, i dont want it that small.... I told him that I did NOT want super huge folds that would make me look like a doll. I just wanted natural eyelids, and that's what he did. Thanks for the help! cutting the outer corners only gives 1/10th of the effect that cutting the inner corners does, so it's basically useless. my doctor said that he doesn't do it on anyone unless that person REALLY insists or for medical reasons. basically you don't get the result, yet you're paying for it. if you have concerns about your eyes looking too close together, that's something you need to ask the doctor during your consultation. cutting the inner eyelids was 300,000 won which is approximately $300 USD.
