when you get double eyelid surgery do you get put to sleep?

does it hurt???

my cousin did it. she said it hurt like H***. but then it only took like 10 minutes. of course they probably numb it but i mean i think ur still conscious. im not exactly sure about that.

What the process actually is is they actually sew the lid of your eyelids so u get double eyelids. they sew it with a thread/string that dissapears after a few days or a week or a month. i dont know the time fasho.

so yea, they are kinda sewing ur skin together, so im thinking it hurts. heh.

really?!!! i'm kinda scared. i might get them done but i'm not sure. i was reading a site and it said that it takes about 1-2 hours and that it doesn't hurt. i don't know.

really? well, my cousin lives in korea. and you know how koreans are with double eyelid. haha. girls miss school for like a week to let the swelling go down.

I really want to do it, but right now im trying to do it naturally with double eyelid stickers. but the bad thing about these is that once one of your inner lines get erased you have NO lines at all so you look UGLYY. so i take my time in doing that.

Well, if you really want it..I would be scared too. Im scared of shots still. HAHA.

but i guess it would be worth it. your call. :]

anything to do with surgery is major. think about it first. dont just go because its easier to put make up or whatever.

there might be complications depending on your surgeon and all.

just make sure its something you really really really really want to do

My bestfriend's cousin got it done in China this summer.

Her aunt also got her eyelashes permed^^

Anyways, she was awake the whole time and said

they put a couple needles in her eyes to numb it -_______-;

She also told my bestfriend that the scariest part was that

she could actually hear them cutting n' sewing her eyes!

Ugh~ I'm getting dizzy just thinking about it.

my aunt got it done. and she was really pretty, but the eyelid surgery makes her look normal. iono, it was wierd. maybe she looks pretty without eyelids??? haha

but you could probably ask them to put you to sleep if you wanted to. i wouldn't want to hear people cut my skin.... oh goodnes, i'm imagining it right now.... sick

usually they dont put you to sleep, and the surgery can take about 1-2 hours.

of course it hurts but not while youre getting the surgery done...

My cousin did it. Hers wasn't so good but she said she got the doctor everyone at her school was going to. Make sure your doctor can do it right. (Ripping your eyelids and sewing them back together sounds dangerous....)

i think people want what they don't have. i don't have double eyelids and i have to admit that i've thought about having surgery more than once just to see what it would look like afterwards? but my mum says my eyes are cute and i don't need surgery. i just need to lose weight <_<

Because, people with single-eyelids can't see the sky when they're looking straight.

LOL. Honestly, that's true for me. I can't really see the ceiling, whereas, when I have tape on, I can see more.

some places put you to sleep but most places don't because they want you to open your eyes certain ways and stuff during the procedure. it makes it easier for the doctor to determine how the double eyelid is coming along i think.

i want to get it done kind of. but the thing is, i'm fine with my double eyelids.. i want to cut? my eyes to make them bigger... lol that sounds dangerous. but i always wondered, wont you not have any eyelashes where you got the cuts? o_o that's gross..
