Tamaki is now 62 years & he isn’t 100% physically. (He can’t move his left arm. ) T: Though we’re under the quite severe situation now but I believe in power of music all the more.

 

#ジェジュン is awesome! I was totally attracted to the extent that this will cancel the flamed IG post of him. Singing together in 玉置浩二ショー is something. ( omission) I was healed under the Corona disaster.

I don’t know much about #ジェジュン -san but I was impressed that he sang a song so beautifully in Japanese in the country which is not his home. Melody was good

Jaejoong performed "Melody", a Japanese classic, accompanied by its original legendary singer Tamaki Koji on NHK BS Premium's『Tamaki Koji Show』this May 3rd (the performance segment was recorded in late March).
 

Tamaki Koji commented about their special duet on April, 2nd: "I've never thought of singing「Melody」in collaboration with anybody else. It's the only song that I will sing freely following my moods. However, this time, when I heard Jaejoong singing it, I told him I will support and sing it following his own way, that's how I felt. We had an enjoyable moment singing the song together."
Jaejoong was humbled and thankful for this wonderful opportunity with a big senior.

-Finally I watched Tamaki Koji show that I had recorded. As for JaeJoong-san, I’ve heard of his name but I’m surprised to listen to his song for the first time properly. There’s a soul in his song  Being a middle aged male Tamaki’s fan it’s quite rare for me to say that “This young singer is great!” It’s a new discovery I think I’ll check his other songs on YouTube.

On May 8th,  Jaejoong left a heartfelt message to his parents for the special 'Parents Day' in Korea on his Instagram.

The artist expressed his honest feelings for his parents, he went on: "I'm a son who is not well versed when it comes to expressing love, can't even say "I love you"properly. Still my mom tells me she loves me every day. Though it is little awkward, my father sends me short texts, "Love you, son!" I feel grateful and sorry all the time.
Mom and father shower me with love as if they are still caring for a 10-year-old. You need to live healthy, past 100, 120 years. So I can make up for what I couldn't do for you and take care of you more.

Jaejoong is keeping up the good work, after donating to Wuhan in late January, to Korea in late February, in order to aid coronavirus prevention and to Japan in mid-April, to prevent the collapse of the medical field.

This time, Jaejoong has made a secret donation to improve the working conditions of Korea Firefighters Welfare Foundation, who sacrifice their lives, the Foundation conveyed: "The artist didn’t reveal his name, just asked us to give our bank account number so initially we didn’t know who will make the donation, only found out on the 11th when deposit was made". They continued: "The donation that Kim Jaejoong made will be used to improve working condition of the firefighters and purchasing firefighting equipment for the most vulnerable. " 

The initial news article also mentioned about how Kim Jaejoong has been donating and volunteering constantly. He visited storm stricken Hiroshima in person to volunteer in 2018 to help rebuild. 

On the 14th, it was reported that Jaejoong made another donation to Japan's National Research Center for Global Health and Medicine.

About his donation to healthcare professionals fighting in the front-lines, JaeJoong said: "I was wondering what I could do to help in this difficult situation. I wanted to help medical professionals so I made this donation". He added "I don't know how long it will take to settle this situation, but let's do our best to overcome it, let us join hands together!"
Norihiro Rijicho, Chairman of the National Center for Global Health and Medicine, commented: "I'm most grateful to Jaejoong for his support for the whole center, we will use the donation carefully for the work purpose of the NCGM center as whole, the contribution of Jaejoong who is an artist, is a great encouragement to our staff, especially the youngest ones, the NCGM will continue to battle the new coronavirus cases and save the lives of patients with infectious diseases and help them regain their health as soon as possible, the staff will work as one to tackle the new coronavirus infectious disease."
Recently, the Charity Federation of Hubei Province sent a Grateful Letter to Kim Jaejoong and his Korean fans for their donation for Wuhan, they expressed:

"During the crucial period of fighting against the COVID-19 in our province, your generous donation and kindness, which reflect the spirit of great love, have provided us strong help and support and increase our confidence and power. Here, on behalf of the headquarter of COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control and 61,000,000 people in Hubei Province, we would like to express high regards and sincere thanks to you. We will distribute your donations to the frontline in time with public notifications for better oversight.
Though things are getting better in our province, there are still challenging tasks. Under the guidance and support of government, we will continue fighting against the virus more scientifically, accurately and confidently. If it’s an important relationship, it’s you to take an action.
Jaejoon , a top star active in Asia. His single topped Oricon chart right after it was released on 3/1. This shows he has a stable popularity also in Japan. On 4/1 he posted on his IG that he was infected with new corona virus then later he revealed his intention that he wished to raise ppl’s awareness. His fluent Japanese , singing voice that touches our heats, a bit goofy & honest character, these are the reasons why he is so popular in music programs or variety shows. Now that we’ve refrained from going out how does he spend his time?
JJ: I spare time to play with my pet cats at home. Buying a lot of staff at a supermarket I cook for myself. Into Japanese rather sweet kimchi I add some soda water & keep it in the chicken or near the rice cooker, where it’s a little warmer, then in a week or so fermentation proceeds the kimchi becomes sour just like Korean kimchi. With this I cook kimchi jjigae (hot pot) or pork kimchi.
JJ has two cats, Nene (Bengal) who’s going to be 3 soon & Coco (Abyssinian)
JJ: Cats are moody, right? I’m totally swayed by them. Actually I’m determined that “I’ll never be controlled by you two!” But they don’t think I’m their master, I guess. I can be their master only when I feed them. As they are getting fatter I give them less food. This is my small revenge to them  I sleep with Nene every night recently. When I go to bed she gets into my bed. It’s annoying to clean cats’ hair but I am healed by them.

He enjoys to watch a video showing how to cut & clean fish.
JJ: Watching a fish is being sliced smoothly I’m so excited. Yesterday too I found a video to cut a huge squid so I kept watching till 5 this morning. I love squids the best of all in the world. (Lol) I’ve cut small squids at home so I wish to try cutting a big one myself this summer.
He also wishes to take a video of the experience & upload it on a video hosting website for his fans.
JJ: Now I’m seriously thinking to create a space to share with my fans. Live concerts are now impossible & we have no chances to meet directly. So I wish to connect with my fans through video hosting websites.
He has a great singing skill to sing any kinds of music such as rock or ballad. Actually he’s from a ‘dancing idols group’. In March he released a dance number “Brava!! x3 “ after a while & this pleased long time fans.
JJ: I feel Japanese ppl’s image of me is a ballad singer. So I thought what I needed now is an up-tempo number. That’s why I ordered a dance number. Upon listening to an intro I decided to sing it. When recording I realized “This is a song of such quick tempo!” so I regretted choosing the song a bit. Dancing while singing is really hard but it’s a lot of fun & exciting.
Brava means ‘wonderful’ in Italian. So we asked “What part of you is wonderful?”
JJ: I’ve never thought that I’m wonderful.
After thinking hard for a while he answered,
JJ: I injured my right hand at the beginning of this year & my hand was in a cast. When it was removed some hairs grew only on the back of my right hand. “How wonderful human body is! My cells really wanted to protect the back of my right hand.” I was totally impressed by my regeneration power. Sorry for a silly talk (Lol)

He’s planning to release a DVD of ‘J-JUN Live 2019 -Love Covers’ this summer. It was a live to introduce his album ‘Love Covers’ released last September.
JJ: 80 % of the set list of this live consists of cover songs, which was a new challenge for me. I was happy to have a chance to sing many famous songs but at the same time I was so nervous because each song has its own technique. That was a hard part. But as I tried my best it turned to be a very good show. So I want not only my fans but also the fans of artists who sing original songs to watch the DVD.
Moreover he wishes to release his 2nd cover album someday.
JJ: Since the first one was focused on ballad songs as for the next one I’m thinking to include various kinds of songs in well balance, so that the live will also be colorful. There are so many songs I wish to sing, so I look forward to it already.
