Lee Jong Seok and Han Hyo Joo are Illustrated and Three Dimensional Characters Meeting in W: Two Worlds

This may be my favorite K-drama promo series since the beautifully rendered Queen In Hyun’s Man concept teaser where the two leads were mannequins in adjoining windows who then come to life escape the confines of their glass boxes and meet outside. It shouldn’t be a surprise I love this latest drama teaser series for W: Two Worlds since it comes from the production team of QIHM, who also did the twisty dramas Nine: Nine Times Time Travel and The Three Musketeers.

The comic book rendered promos show Lee Jong Seok and Han Hyo Joo as real and illustrated characters meeting between two worlds, one flesh and blood and the other two dimensional. I guess the parallel universes would be the living breathing world and the fictional drawn universe. That’s super cool and I can’t wait to see how the drama makes it work, and makes us ship an OTP that exists in different dimensions.

Stills from MBC’s upcoming TV drama “W” were released Wednesday.

Actress Han Hyo-joo is shown about to cry after slapping actor Lee Jong-suk, while Lee seems calm in the photos.

“W” Lee Jong-suk showed up with strong muscular upper body

Actor Lee Jong-suk showed his upper body during the shooting of “W”. Lee Jong-suk published a photo on his SNS on 28th June in only a few words, “ao pu pu”. In the photo, Lee Jong-suk wore a white shirt with a pair of swimming goggles in the indoor pool. He showed his muscular figure and fair skin which made many girls’ hearts fluctuated. His sincere look during the shooting impressed us most.

In MBC’ s new Wednesday & Thursday drama, “W”, Kang Chul (acted by Lee Jong-suk) fell in love with Oh Yeon-joo (acted by Han Hyo-joo ) resolve between different dimensions and created a romantic suspense melodrama. “W” is starred mainly by Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-Joo with the cooperation of Kim Yi-Seong, Jung Yoo-Jin, Lee Tae-hwan and Lee si-un. It will premiere on 20th July after “Lucky Romance”at 10 pm.

"Connecting principles between Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-Joo, a unique point of interest" - from the ”W” drama.

 

The secret romantic story between the hero from the world of webtoon, Lee Jong-suk and a female doctor in reality world, Han Hyo-joo in different spaces in “Two Worlds” has been attracting much attention lately. 
The link between these two people has been confirmed to be the cartoonist in the drama, Oh Sung-moo, acted by Kim Yi-seong.

According to news from MBC’s new Wednesday & Thursday drama, “W-Two Worlds” on 28th (writer: Song Jae-jung/ director: Jung Dae-yoon), clues released about the relationships among Kang Chul, acted by Lee Jong-suk, Oh Yeon-joo, acted by Han Hyo Joo and Oh Sung-moo, acted by Kim Yi-seong can now be inferred.

Previously, the production team has released the fact that Kang Chul is a character in a webtoon, which aroused public’s discussion.

They have also released clues which set the audience thinking how Kang Chul, the leading role of the webtoon could possibly meet up with Oh Yeon-joo who live in reality. 
The fact about Oh Yeon-joo, a second year chest surgery intern, being the daughter of the popular cartoonist, Oh Sung-moo has been released.

It has also been released that the cartoonist’s daughter is a long-time loyal fan of Kang Chul, the main character in webtoon “W” published by her father. Oh Yeon-joo is a doctor in the real world and also the daughter of a cartoonist. Not only is Kang Chul super rich and owns a TV station, he is also a national star. Both live in separated worlds. 

As to how they find a perfect connecting passage way and the secret of how their relationship develop are of great interest to the audience. 
In the teaser video being released, the meaning of the mysterious phrase, “the gap between the collapsed dimensions” means that whatever happens, they must meet each other. 
We can figure out that the key character who controls their destiny and the answers to the questions above is the cartoonist Oh Sung-moo who creates the webtoon character Kang Chul. These questions trigger the audience’s reasoning power and arouse great curiosity. 
The production side announced that the perfect connection in the drama between Kang Chul and Oh Yeon-joo living in the different worlds needs certain hidden rules.
As to how a character from a webtoon fulfills the ultimate imagination of a male leading role and how he realises himself cleverly through the special rules, we have to stay tune to watch and find the answers from the drama. 
Meanwhile, “W” is a suspense romantic drama about a story that happens between a super chaebol, Kang Chul from the webtoon “W” and a surgeon full of curiosity, Oh Yeon-joo who lives in the same space but different dimensions in Seoul in 2016. 
The encounter between script-writer Song Jae-jeong whose every single work is attractive to the audience because of her special imagination & strength in characterization, and director Jeong Dae-yoon who has superb directing abilities has become a hot topic. The most anticipated TV drama in the second half of this year, “W”, will hit the screen on 20th, July.
