THE SHORT VERDICT:

A noona romance that reminds me all over again why I love kdrama.

 

There are a good number of reasons to love this drama: a good story, robust themes, a brisk pace that’s well-kept for the most part, engaging characters that are well-written and well-acted, heartwarming relationships all-around (well, almost all-around), a very enjoyable OST, and a fantasy, superpower bent that gives rise to related hijinks, many of the romantic variety. Yes, Omo!

My top reason for loving this show, though, can be summed in this character still right here. Everything about this boy-man, from how he’s written to how he’s portrayed, floats my boat. Melt, melt and melt.

In Starnews’s interview, Lee Bo Young mentioned about Lee Jong Suk.

The interview started with a statement that 2013 is her golden year after 2 hits “My daughter, Seo Young” and “I Hear Your Voice”. She was recognized by public with Daesang Award at Korea Drama Awards.

That day (KDA night), Lee Bo Young and her man in I Hear Your Voice together received the Best Couple Award. This is also her second best award within that night. Both of them have overcome 10 year-old gap, created the romance; quickly became a hot topic attracted huge attention. In that night, the scene of Lee Jong Suk escorted Lee Bo Young on the red carpet received love and encourage from audiences.

Noona romance in I Hear Your Voice was built very well and strong. After I Hear Your Voice ended, I already said: “Jong Suk is my best partner before my wedding”. Despite the gap of our age difference, Jong Suk always use the most loving gaze looking at me. Because of his sweet gaze, I was also trying to match with him and able to describe the best Jang Hye Sung character. very quick translation for you guys.
She (a fan) said:

1. Bo Young and Joong Suk (BY & LJS) )came late so she could not take their photos on red carpet (but there were a lot photos of them on red carpet from news website).
To greet and support BY & LJS, she and her FC prepared a banner/slogan and they saw it. During the event the fan had to hold a camera as well as banner. BY initially catch a sign of their banner, then BY pointed to their location and drag L JS follow her direction, so both of them saw. However, the fan unfortunately could not capture that moment. But they were sure that both of them saw and laugh together (thanks for their support)

2. A moment that BY & LJS walked together to the red carpet catch all people and made a heart of that fan kinda skipped a beat. BY in the long white dress, LJS in black vest looked so harmonized, such a perfect match together.

She said BY looks very very beautiful that words cannot describe. Among actresses surrounded, she was the most attractive one. Especially the match of her figure, the dress … and people praised her lots. BY seems lose weight cuz she looked thinner than IHYV filming time (personally i agree)

LJS condition was better in comparison w IHYV's. His face a bit chubby, he shined bright in the black vest and capture all the camera, all peopleeeeeeee as he was the only one attended the event. The fan said his face is just a bit bigger than a fist (ehhh i don't think so)

Both of them showed their good relationship, they enjoyed talking & eyecontacting as no gap btw them. BY actively started talking and LJS followed her w. smile, head-shaken. Both of them also could not leave their eyes to a little actress/actor that sat near them. They always looked at that baby with a sparkle in their eyes and talked to the baby. The fans also stated that their face emotions were exactly the SAME.

While others people watch the event, both of them just talked ALOTTTT with their phones in hands. They sometimes whispered each other (if noisy) as real sister-brother .. YES YES NO SHYNESS between them (yes of courseeeeeeee, we knew it we knew itttt)

While JS came to the stage for his best actor award, BY and Min Joon Gook actor praised for him, clapped their hands a lot. BY's eyes looked like Jang byin in IHYV with thought "LJS ah, you made it, you worked so hard for it". And when LJS was in the stage, everybody envied a perfect ratio of his body. In his speech, he looked at the PD n said his name as he was forced to do so but looked pretty cute. He thanked his parent and came down the stage w. the long leg that capture ALL PEOPLEEEE

Min Joon Gook actor also said thank to PD, writer and LJS, congrat to BY wedding. He looked kinder than his character in IHYV

The video of Best Couple was shown: a moment of baseball hat, 3 kiss scenes of BY-LJS. LJS was so gallant while escort BY to the stage, the way they smile was just as ONE…. Unfortunately, after got the Best Couple awards, they went to the back-stage, LJS could not come back along with BY because there were many students that might cause CHAOS (i think SUkkie had to leave first for not causing any trouble) and only BY came back to her chair (bcause of her DAESANG)

I always enjoy watching Jongsuk interact with Lee Bo Young. Even now, they are like a true brother and sister, it's very heartwarming. I remember her teasing him hard at the 2017 SBS awards when she was an announcer, saying she could reveal stuff about him that would make him turn bright red like a tomato, lolol. Aw. They are so sweet. 

 

And IHYV remains one of my all time favorite dramas as well. You can sometimes find drama scripts online; I'm reading that one right now as part of my Korean language study practice, and appreciating again what an excellent drama it is.
