So ljs leading is confirmed, i know some may have mix feeling since i've read lots of unfavourable comments about his future co-star. As to me, hey... Nothing to worry about. Tho i have not watched any of zheng shuang work, i believe she is someone who is not to be underestimated....btw she wasn't selected through lucky draw! There must be certain criterias considered before she was chosen & if she can make it into the top Chinese actresses list, it means she is a no joke too! China is a BIG country with millions of people inspired to be well known actors. Thus , to make it this far, zheng shuang is a 'someone' too in the industry.

well, looking forward to their collaboration, hopefully we'll be served with something refreshing not the 'familiar' type of love-hate story since the director too is someone with unconventional type of korean director. I've read his interview after DS that he has a more 'western' approach / style. Yeah...really i can see it in DS.

Lee Jong Suk, i'm waiting & i trust your choice. Nothing is more precious in this world than knowing that you have people who would always give their backs to you & cherish you ups & down.

KBS World TV is rerunning School 2013. After watching the first episode, I couldn’t help rushing to my computer and engaging into a crazy marathon. I downloaded and watched again all 16 episodes in only two days. I ruined my eyes, but satisfied my soul.

However, I can’t wait to watch our lovely and talented LJS in a new drama. I hope 2016 will bring him health and tons of acting offers, lots of successful roles and millions of new international fans. I pray Emerald Jade Lover will be a success – but it has to be, since LJS is in it, right?:)

I'm totally agree with you. Even if she's really not good like they said but it doesn't mean this time she can't do it well. I've seen many k-actress who always be criticized for their acting have a dramatic change. They learn what their lack is through their previous roles and improve their skill gradually. No one born to be a great actor, they must work hard to become one.

This time, let believe in JS *like usual LOL* and also believe in his co-stars:)

Lee Jong-suk to work with former manager of Won Bin

Actor Lee Jong-suk is likely to work with a former manager of top actor Won Bin after leaving his agency Wellmade Yedang, according to local entertainment media outlet OSEN.

Announcing that he would leave his agency in December, the 26-year-old actor earlier said, “If I make a decision (regarding a new company), I will let fans and media know directly.”

Lee is reported to work alone with a new manager who used to work for actor Won Bin, instead of opting for a big label.

The actor is set to star in Korean-Chinese TV soap “Jade Lover,” which will be released later this year.

Ranking of the Most Buzzed About Stars in China in 2014

Posted on January 31, 2015 by ockoala

I’ve noticed that over the years I’ve been writing about C-dramas, and C-entertainment more and more due to the rise of both the quality as well as the increase in cross-border collaborations. Some folks new to C-dramas, or haven’t even dipped a toe in, sometimes enjoy my posts without a clue of who’s popular and why certain stars seem to be pairing up all the time. It’ll take a while to get used to the breadth and depth of acting projects, both dramas and movies, coming out of the huge market that is China, and it’s one market that the Korean stars have been diving into one after another.

The C-entertainment industry monitoring company Vlinkage recently released a ranking report for listing the most buzzed about entertainers in China for all of 2014. The top 100 includes Mainland Chinese, Taiwanese, Hong Kong, and Korean stars, basically any star that got popularity exposure in China was then tabulated by the firm based on online searches, news articles written, weibo followers and reblogs, and online chatter. Topping the one-two position are two good friend actresses Yang Mi and Liu Shi Shi while the third and fourth rank crossed a short strait and landed in the laps of Kim Soo Hyun and Lee Min Ho. Check out the full list below and get a feel for who the C-audience made/kept popular last year.
