Thank you for saying something! I've been feeling really weird about this.

 

When I think of the press conference, a chat session, magazine shoot... I feel like the lack of that can still be justified without their being something seriously wrong. I've seen Netflix, Disney+, MBC, etc. release interviews well into a drama's run. They don't always happen as pre-promo. I also figured a magazine shoot could come out this month, but knew it could also be next month, since Big Mouth premieres July 29. They are in the middle of two possible dates.

 

And when I think of JS not updating his IG... well... we've been here before. He does this often. 

 

What really worries me is when I put these two issues together, and expand a little bit. Yes, Jongsuk isn't a stranger to IG breaks, but NOW? He went from seeming excited and posting at least once a week (until June 21) to nothing for an entire month. He hasn't said a word or been seen since Big Mouth began promotion. We haven't heard that magazines are working with him, we've seen no glimmer of hope that he's filmed interviews... something just seems wrong. It has me really worried, and honestly, bummed out that I can't enjoy the roll out of Big Mouth as much as I want because I have so much anxiety.

Ahhh my tastes don't always align with Korea, but it's so nice to see both my top two current dramas and the one I am most looking forward to seeing next, all topping the list. Big Mouth fighting! (But please...air in my country...PLEASE!) 

 

Agree that it's a little strange to have Big Mouth promo and not see JS himself anywhere? He does like to disappear, but hopefully he comes back soon. Maybe it's because of timing issues like @hillllllllysuggested (magazines coming out later?). Or maybe because the drama is split over MBC and Disney? I dunno, but I still do expect to see him in an appearance of some sort soon.

“Big Mouth” has shared a preview of its unique and lawless world!

 

MBC’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “Big Mouth” is a hard-boiled noir drama about a third-rate lawyer named Park Chang Ho (Lee Jong Suk) who winds up in charge of a murder case that turns him overnight into a genius conman known as “Big Mouse.” In order to survive and protect his family, he must expose a huge conspiracy among the privileged upper classes.

 

Given this shocking predicament, curiosity is rising to see how Park Chang Ho and his wife Go Mi Ho (Girls’ Generation’s YoonA) will be able to successfully overcome all odds and protect their future. The fictional new city of Gucheon has a population of over 1 million and dreams of becoming a large metropolitan city. However, the peace in Gucheon is solely meant for the upper class. However, those involved in this war with and against Big Mouse do not stop with those at Gucheon prison. To hunt down Big Mouse, secret organization NR Forum, which was created by politicians needing money and chaebols needing power, also finds its way to Gucheon.

 

NR forum is led by Woojung Ilbo’s CEO Gong Ji Hoon (Yang Kyung Won), and another member is Hyun Joo Hee (Ok Ja Yeon), the wife of mayor Choi Da Ha and the director of Gucheon Hospital, where Go Mi Ho works. 똧 is what Korean fans call Jongsuk;it’s because they say he looks like this duck/ostrich cartoon character called 또치 (ddochi). Even Jongsuk knows they call him this and wrote a me2day post about it before, where Boyoung-noona posed with this character.
 

Since 또치 can be spelled as 똧이, and you would add -ie to the end of a name as an affectionate term, that’s why some fans call him 똧.

In general, 똧 is used most used in DC gallery, where they like to abbreviate / slightly twist the way they talk about the artists, so to make things harder to search for in search engines. Because they like to talk about random secretive stuff or just make funny edits.

Jongsuk has always been like this, he doesn't like to use social media, I think he uses it a bit out of necesserity. Because he's a little bit antisocial. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. They released 3 trailers. The press conference is usually the last days before the series airs. Also, I admit I was a Jong Suk fan 3 years ago, but now I'm not a super fan of him, but I'm still curious for his drama to see if his acting has improved because his dramas are always very gripping and well themed. Big Mouth trailers turned out to be different and exciting than I expected, so I was curious.
