Lee Jong Suk is undeniably one of the most famous male actors in Korea right now. We saw him fight for people’s lives as a doctor in Doctor Stranger, fight for truth as a reporter in Pinocchio and we saw him fight for justice as a prosecutor in his latest Korean drama, While you were Sleeping. He is not only famous for his talent in acting but also for his handsome and charismatic charms that will surely make anyone swoon.

Lee Jong Suk’s latest movie, VIP (Very Important Person), took us by storm because of his outstanding performance as the antagonist. He plays Kim Gwang Il, the misogynistic son of a powerful North Korean, who is wanted for a series of murder cases in North Korea and South Korea as well.

Just like any other crime films out there, when there’s a bad guy on the loose, there’s always a good guy trying to put the bad guy in jail. That good guy is Chae Yi Do (Kim Myung Min), a passionate and hardworking cop who is in charge of putting Gwang Il in chains. He is not scared to bend the rules as long as he eventually catches the criminals. Things get harder for Yi Do when he finds out that Gwang Il is being protected by Park Jae Hyuk (Jang Dong Gun), a National Intelligence Service Agent. To make things more complicated, he is also hunted down by Ri Dae Bum (Park Hee Soo), a North Korean Agent who wants revenge for his allies who died at Gwang Il’s hands.

From politics to police officials, different countries are just hungry for power. There are a lot of realistic crime scenes. This movie will surely keep you guessing. Will South Korean police officials catch Gwang Il and his men? Or will one North Korean agent quench his thirst for revenge? And just when you thought nothing he does will make you hate him, in this movie, you might wish to never see him smile again.
