I'm very excited for MK this September. The last time I watched a korean drama from beginning to end was BOF. hyun joong has a unique charm that us fan love and with his rising popularity he is still so humble. jung so min and hyun joong match pretty well and it's funny they're still awkward with each other but then again it take time for hyun joong to warm up to people.

thankful to fans in korea who are nice enough to share with us their fancams and fan accounts. hyun joong will be busy next week since he has to attend bof renuion in japan on the 18th and the 21st so filming will be hard on him. Japanese fans are always lucky to have a fan meeting with the cast. MK is another group 8 production so there would prob. be more trip to Japan in the future.

Indie band 'Annyong bada' will be challenging a drama once more. Annyong bada who's starred in SBS drama 'I'm Legend' recently attained good feedback from audiences, and this time round, they will be challenging full-time acting in upcoming MBC Wed-Thurs drama 'Playful Kiss'.

Namu, Junhyuk, Myungjae, Daehyun etc, these 4 people make up Annyong Bada. In the drama, 4 of them will be playing Bong Jungu (Lee Taesung)'s 4 buddies who equally fares badly in academics, and 4 of them supports Bong Jungu's love for Hani (Jung Somin). Annyong Bada's roles will be yet another icing character responsible for weaving fantasy for the drama with their unique image.

PD of the drama Hwang In-roi met up with Annyong Bada through recommendation of his friends, and after doing so, PD Hwang decided to cast them right on the spot without hesitation, and that was because of Annyong bada's unique personality traits and energy vibe they give off. PD Hwang who's well-known to be careful and serious with casting has made immediate decision for the first time this round, which surprised even the people around him. However, for the poster shooting and even for official shooting, Annyong bada's good acting and good emotional portrayals have earned the praise of staff, which velveted the talk of 'immediate decision making'.

Annyong bada has long been well-known in the indie-band world with their high quality music and beautiful emotional portrayal. Kim Hyun Joong and Jung SoMin's 'Playful kiss' is in midst of speedy shooting in the city hubs of Seoul. Its first broadcast will be on September 1, 9.55pm.

I guess the expectations are very high for KHJ in the Playful Kiss as well as it's rival dramas also include Flower Boys [Yoon Si Yoon from CNBlue who is starring in Baker King Kim Tak Goo which excedded 40% ratings last week, Lee Seung Gi in My GF is Gumiho, and Kim Hyun Joong.] It's important to note that, the reporter speculates that it probably isn't because of Yoon Si Yoon that Baker King is so popular. Gumiho is appealing to a younger generation as well as the Playful Kiss is.

According to the reporter, on a Japanese portal site, the Playful Kiss was the number one anticipated drama.

I forgot to add some parts. I couldn't understand what the anchorwoman was asking, but it seemed like she was asking which drama will be most successful/ have the most viewers. The reporter said that for the Playful Kiss it pretty much depends on KHJ's acting ability.

[Most of this is speculation by the reporter. The show can go either way, but he seemed to put the empathasis on KHJ's ability to act. Granted, he is the lead and his acting will play a heavy role on if the show it will attract viewers, but he's just one man. There have been so many dramas, even recently no names, where the music came on at the wrong time and the script was terrible, but the acting was good, but viewers stopped watching it because good acting just wasn't good enough. Viewers expect a lot not only out of actors, but the crew as a whole. If the music comes on at the wrong time, the writing is bad, the camera man is terrible etc, regardless they will stop watching.

So what I'm trying to say is, this constant empathasis on KHJ's ability to and the success of the drama seems a little unfair. I'm not concerned about KHJ's ability to act, but I'm more worried about the writer of this drama.]

ah i feel kinda worried, ecstatic and excited about MK now.. ahhhh...

worried cause as as what LolliDoAlittle said, they have put so much expectation on KHJL. i so agree with everything she said about even though he is the leading man, he is just one man. i know that its s just the thoughts of the reporter but when i visit other blogs, and portal sites, they seem to put so much emphasis on KHJL... ahhhh...

i mean the success of the drama doesn't only rest in him, there is also about the writer and director. i mean the director can advise him if the scenes aren't effective right...

but i have faith in kim hyun joong.. after watching the Y star report, i think he did well...

i am so looking forward to this drama...

Yoon Si Yoon isn't a boybander (he isn't near CNblue at all) indeed he has done some advertising work with CNblue and Jung So Min lately but he YSY is an actor(a pretty unknown actor until Baker King)

about Baker King it might be true that this is a good drama but it really has an unknown cast until now... and they were lucky with Bad Guy... Bad Guy was interrupted because of the World Cup and SBS was the only television with World cup airing rights....

Bad Guy was a pretty good show -and before the World Cup their viewership was increasing ... they had around 15%+... but in the break Baker King gained points and popularity so- Bad Guy went down the drain under 10%

Road nr 1 is a war themed drama... and even if it was good for something nobody looked at it - not even the foreign netizens-like Bad Guy is

so here we go with the high ratings for Baker King

even so it will be pretty hard for Lee Seung Ki to gain viewership against Baker King, but it will be harder to Kim Hyun Joong to gain a good score with Playful Kiss ... because he is in the slot of Road Nr 1 and starts after Lee Seung Ki-another rating king and KHJ's acting skills sometimes are praised, sometimes he is criticized for exactly the same thing... read it for his acting skills his number of fans is equal with his number of antifans (personally I enjoyed his acting so much in BOF-but he was acting against an extremely talented pair Lee Min Ho and Goo Hye Sun)

even Goo Hye Sun is considered beautiful- personally I think she's not - remember even in BOF GHS's char was never meant to be beautiful or cute- and in any other occasions she looks way better-watch her latest work or KinG and I and you will understand what doest it mean a beautiful, talented and hard worker Goo Hye sun

but this time Jung So Min's char is meant to be pretty and cute and silly - the blonde(see manga pics) and pretty type which ppl around never think about her if she is smart or not... some girls in this range would yell "ppl look at my talents and not my chest"-btw I think KHJ is fighting with the same feeling -all the ppl look at his face and don't spend time to really listen the guy

@czakhareina the same pressure is put on Lee Seung Ki's shoulder but at the press con he told "ppl this is a TEAM WORK so is not only me"

the same it goes with KHJ... is not only him...as in BOF was.. he had some awesome team members...and even the script was gone astray they kept doing a wonderful job(even though personally after ep 10 I was paying attention only at KHJ's scenes)

btw team members: JSM role in Bad guy was first time ubercute and sexy and after a few eps her char became sexy and a lil annoying if not evil- so she can express a wide range of feelings and she is a capable actress but as Baker kings's cast she is unknown and I loved her transformation from sexy diva to high school student

don't forget about Lee Tae Sung-first time I saw him with Park Shin Hye in "Several Questions that makes us happy" the only thought was..yeah another pretty boy... and some ppl here told that he is too much into "John Travolta in Grease".. but if you look a him in the latest interviews you can see why is his portrayal is a lil bit overdone-and I can't stop laughing when he is on the screen

and the rest of the team-only talented actors and actresses ... we get good news almost every day... so let's hope for the best ratings for Playful kiss team, but I wonder if the ahjummas that are looking now at Baker King will let their kids to switch the channel to Playful Kiss or Gumiho... (yes you will tell that the same ahjumas love to bits Lee Seung Ki and Kim Hyun Joong... but in the same time they fell in love with Yoon Si Yoon(believe me he IS PRETTY too)
