어제 대학로에서 구혜선을 봤습니다. 세일러문 복장을 하고 있었는데 아내가 말해주기 전엔 누군지 모르겠더군요. 이쁜건 모르겠고 얼굴은 참 작더군요.

Yesterday at the college road, I saw GHS. If my wife did not tell me, I would not have recognized the person in sailer moon outfit was GHS. I don't know about being pretty, but she really had a small face.

Park KI Woong joins GHS, ChoiDaniel and Ok Joo HYun on The MUsical drama.

박기웅이 맡은 유진은 돈을 최우선으로 생각하는 냉철한 뮤지컬 제작자로 구혜선을 사이에 두고 최다니엘과 삼각 러브라인을 그리며 드라마의 또 다른 축을 이룬다. 얼마 전 첫 촬영 현장에서 박기웅이 직접 그린 그림이 공개되며 스태프들 사이 그의 열정이 화제가 되고 있다.

Park Ki Woong is chosen for Yoo Jin character-- a cold, musical producer who thinks of money foremost. His role creates triangular love line with Choi Daniel regarding GHS's character. Not too long ago, at the first filming day of The Musical, Park Ki Woong drew a picture (as seen above) which created quite a stir about his passion and earnestness.

박기웅은 드라마 ‘남자 이야기’ 촬영 중 당시 제작자였던 김경용PD로부터 차기작 ‘더 뮤지컬’에 대한 이야기를 들었다. 촬영이 끝나고 박기웅은 드라마 ‘더 뮤지컬’의 트리트먼트가 나왔다는 소식에 바로 김경용 감독에게 달려갔다고.

Park Ki Woong worked with The Musical producer or PD Kim Gyung Yong on <Man's Story> before. At that time, Park heard of the story of The Musical. After his film ended and heard that The Musical ?treatment?=트리트먼트 (maybe treatment is the script or the scene content?) was ready, Park ran to Kim Gyung Yong PD.

트 리트먼트를 본 박기웅은 사람보다 돈을 믿는 뮤지컬 제작자이지만 마음 속에는 아무도 모르는 아픔을 간직하고 사는 유진 역에 반해버렸다. 곧 박기웅은 유진 캐릭터에 대한 열정을 그림에 담아 김경용PD에게 전달했다. 김경용PD는 그림을 받자마자 자신이 생각한 유진의 이미지와 흡사한 모습에 놀라워하며 ‘차도 기웅’이라는 별명을 붙여주었다.

AFter Park saw the treatment of The Musical, Park felt a deep afinity for the character of the producer or Yoo Jin in The Musical. Although Yoo Jin's character believes in money over people, Yoo Jin carries a deep secret that no one knows. Park really liked the character very much. Soon, Park drew his feelings about the character on paper and handed it over to PD Kim Gyung Yong. PD Kim was very surprised at how the drawing of Yoo JIn character fit so well the image that PD had in mind as well. PD Kim nicknamed actor Park, <chado KiWoong>.

그림 속 박기웅의 시크한 분위기와 날카로운 눈빛, 세련된 헤어 스타일 등이 차도남을 연상케 했기 때문이다. ‘차도남'은 '차가운 도시 남자'의 줄임말로 냉철하고 이성적이지만, 세련되고 능력 있는 도시 남성을 가리키는 신조어다. 김경용PD는 유진 캐릭터를 향한 박기웅의 열정에 탄복하며 단번에 캐스팅을 결정했다.

Actor Park drew Yoo Jin as very chic having sharp and fiery eyes. The character in the drawing also has modern hairstyle, creating a very modern image of a whole new, improved male type. Cha-do-nam is basically an abbreviation for <cold, city, man>. Yoo Jin may be cold/distant and strictly rational, but also very refined/polished and very capable city man. PDKim admired actor Park Ki Woong's passion and immediately casted him for the role.

(I remember seeing DCinside's earlier character introduction for The Musical and Park Gi Woong's character was originally cast for the medical student role. Wow, Park used his persuasive and artistic power to get the role that he really wants! Now I am really dying to see this drama!)

전작 ‘남자 이야기’에서 박기웅의 진지한 연기 자세와 성실함을 눈여겨 봤던 김경용PD는 “촬영전 박기웅과 미팅을 하며 캐릭터에 대한 준비를 하나하나 해왔다. 매번 캐릭터에 대한 새로운 준비를 해오는 박기웅을 보며 유진을 완벽하게 소화할 수 있을 것이라는 확신이 들었다” 며 박기웅에 대한 강한 신뢰를 드러냈다.

PD Kim was already aware of Park Ki Woong's talent and passion and disciplined work attitude through <Man's Story>. Before the filming started, PD Kim met with Park to plan out and prepare for Park's role. PD Kim also states that he is so sure that Park has truly gotten into his role as seen by the transformation that Park imposed on himself to get into the role. PD Kim expressed his sincere trust and confidence in Park.

박기웅은 캐스팅이 확정되자 자신이 그린 그림처럼 긴 머리를 짧게 자르고 노란 머리색을 검은색으로 염색하는 등 굳은 각오로 촬영에 임했다.

As soon as his role was confirmed, Park worked on his new role as similarly as possible to his drawing. He colored his yellow hair black and cut his hair short. He started the filming with strong determination.

한편 최고의 뮤지컬을 만들기 위해 뭉친 제작자, 작곡가 그리고 배우들의 뜨거운 열정과 로맨스가 화려하게 펼쳐질 ‘더 뮤지컬’은 한창 촬영 중이며 뉴욕 브로드웨이 촬영을 거쳐 올해 하반기 시청자들과 만날 예정이다.

The Musical brings together best producer/director, composer and actors to unfurl their passion, romance in glamorous way. The Musical is filming in full force at this time and, after they go to New York Broadway, the drama plans to open this latter half of the year.

Ghi Eun Se earned her recognition from her role as a <ghi-seng=similar to Japanese geisha> in an opium den in a movie called, <The Good, The Bad, and the Weird>. She also appeared in CF's for SK Telecom, Gucci Enterprise, as well as a model for ?Three Cars.

특히 기은세는 `더 뮤지컬` 캐스팅과 함께 중국 유명 화장품 회사 오띠에서 새롭게 런칭한 `퍼플쥬`의 전속 모델로 발탁되며 광고 업계의 주목을 한몸에 받고 있다.

While cast for The Musical, Ghi Eun Se also is gaining much attention for being selected as the main spokesperson/model for the famous Chinese cosmetics brand, ?<Purples>.

한편 `더 뮤지컬`은 10월 초 뉴욕 브로드웨이 촬영을 거쳐 하반기 방영 예정이다.

복날 삼계탕 먹고 나오는데 경림씨가 갑자기 사라지더니 아이스크림 100개를 사왔다.ㅠㅠ 스탭들 고생한다고 ㅋ 완전 천사다.
