using a us cell phone in korea

im currently in korea.
and i bought a HELIO phone before i got here to use it.
i called the provider and got the calling things figured out.

i'll just share with people who are curious? heh
when i call the US: 007-001-AREA CODE-NUMBER
when US people call me: regular
when korean phones call me: 0011-AREA CODE-NUMBER
when i call korean phones: regular number

now i need help with TEXT messages
i can't send texts to korean phones...
and i can't get korean phones to send me texts.

anyone know what to do?

i tried calling the service provider but that guy was a dumb piece of crap.
he didn't know anything. so please help me!

im not exactly sure but...

does your phone support korean text?

i would guess thats one of the reason you may not be able to recieve them

i use a korean phone in the US.. and i can't receive or send texts to/from korea either
