[Variety 2010] Family Outing Season 2

Hmm... I'm kind of curious as to how the new format will be. I hope it's not just this...

Watching the preview, I was excited to watch the competition between the members and actually getting to watch them do some work, but I was disappointed. The previews made it seem like they battled it out in some game, but it was just a rock-paper-scissor (lackluster) battle between sanghyun and kwon. And they haven't really done any work (besides chopping some wood). Compared to the first season, the second season seems to have it easier. They get to stay in a nice cabin and didn't really have to work for their food (besides playing charades). And having a leader seemed pretty pointless since he didn't really lead them or anything.

Just watched the first episode. And I didn't like it at all. I haven't seen Season 1's first episode. But the new season's first broadcast wasn't good. I had no idea what they were doing and I didn't get the whole direction and purpose of this first episode. And there's too much hype and over exaggeration over the three idols. Season 1 never did this with Daesung.

They better bring something to the table or we're all gonna want Hyori and Yoo Jaesuk back!

As much as I LOVE the idols, Yoon Sang Hyun was the only one I enjoyed watching. He would have fit in perfectly with Season 1 family members too.

In my opinion, the battle over snacks/food was hilarious and even comparable to some of the funnier moments of Season 1.

Although I must say the way the show is cut and paced make it seem like their whole outing was a little pointless.

The snow rock/paper/scissor part especially bothered me... they seem to have decided to cut out the more hilarious parts of it, like Shin Bong Sun getting pulverized by a pile of snow seen in released images.

As soon a person learn to live with the fact that only thing that is the same between the original Family and s2 Family is the name of the show... the sooner he/she can probably enjoy this show to the fullest.

the Family Leader aspect is unfortunately underdeveloped in the first episode... but I still/hope feel that can be a potentially funny and chemistry building aspect.

I just hope they don't ditch the guests aspect completely...

I think for the first and few episodes that will follow, FO2 would be

concentrating on bonding and/or family time first for the family members.

It would be more on the getting to know you stage for each member to really

get acquainted and comfortable with each other as there are 7 distinct

personalties that should blend well for the betterment of the show.

So, i suggest we be patient, we haven't really seen anything yet.

Relax, have fun and enjoy watching.

lol picture before that, sang hyun seems like a total yoona fanboy. I find him fanboying over yoona calling him oppa hilarious. oh and i kinda like the fact that they drove to the meeting point together before getting on the bus.

I didnt have any high expectations for the first episode cause i anticipate awkward moments and it should take some more time for the family to bond and understand each other.

In time we'll be able to see more of their variety sides and how each would create a balance within in the family.

It'd be graet if there'll have occasional guest(s) in the episode but i like how the PDs decided to give the family a few more episodes to bond together

[10.02.23][News] So Nyeo Shi Dae and Super Junior awarded #1 for digital music and album category for GaOn charts

So Nyeo Shi Dae and Super Junior are awarded #1 for the digital and album category for GaOn Chart establishment celebration event.

The event was held on 23rd February at 11am at Seoul Western JoSeon Hotel and the 2 singer groups were awarded #1 for the 2009 digital music and album category.

A rep from GaOn chart reveals, "For the digital category (online+mobile) for last year, So Nyeo Shi Dae 'Gee' was chosen for #1. And for offline album category, Super Junior 'Sorry Sorry' was chosen as #1."

Meanwhile, Brown Eyed Girls GaIn and 2AM Jo Kwon's duet 'We Fell In Love' is #1 for the ringer tone and streaming for the 1st and 2nd week of 2010. Jo Kwon was not able to attend the event as he has to do filming for SBS Family Outing.

I just watched episode 1 and I didn't like it.

I feel that the format change for FO 2 was way too great. While I don't mind change, in fact I quite welcome change, I can't help but feel that it's not "FO". While that last sentence must sound hypocritical, what I mean by it is. When I imagine FO, I imagine people cooking outside, playing games, and just pretty much being a family. However, with this changed format... what I got was idols showcasing their insanely overexposed "individual talent", I got comedians that aren't funny, and I got rich people stealing ramen from strangers [i'm sorry, it just seemed WAY too over the top when they stole food from Wonhee. You're a celebrity, not a beggar, wtf are you doing stealing instant snacks from people?].

Now I know I'm being really harsh, especially for a pilot / first episode. However, it's marketed as "family outing" and with family outing 1, I laughed till my sides hurt [even the first episode made me laugh a lot]. With FO 2, I might have slightly chuckled when I saw Jo Kwon's face when he stuffed it... and that's about it.

Definitely not a series I would follow, I might check it out again in the future if good reviews appear. Hopefully it'll be soon, I really don't want Jo and Yoona on a crappy variety show

Firstly, they’re on a mountain in the freezing cold. Cooking inside the cabin would be a good idea. I’m pretty sure in the later episodes, you will see them cooking outside. Yes, it’s weird for rich people stealing ramen from... strangers, however, if you think about it, this isn’t a show about celebrities. They’re supposed to do weird and entertaining things (FO1 did so many weird and funny things that a celebrity shouldn’t do). Also, I think they were playing a game where you have to steal snacks? I’m not sure, but it was funny and a great way to bond. The first episode is probably about bonding and getting to know each other.

The next episode seems interesting. If you look at @prettyoungthing pictures, doesn’t it remind you FO1? It sure does, to me (:

In the pic w/ all the family members and some strangers, are they the producers? or the people of that village like in FO1? And looking at the pictures, I don't see any guests? Hopefully they'll have guests on the show.

Stealing the ramen actually reminded me of how some FO1 members would cook and eat beef while the others went to get the ingredients. Of course in the first FO2 episode its different situation and people.

I'd expect them to be hungry and since wonhee was the only one smart enough to bring her own snacks and ramen who is in the outdoor group so the group who stayed inside decided to steal the ramen for them so their group could eat.

I wouldnt liken their situation as the rich stealing from beggar. Among a group of close friends, in two different groups with one having a more delicious advantage, I'd see it as them having fun... It didnt crossed my mind that they are celebrities while watching FO2 but having said that anyone is entitled to their opinions so i respect yours.

I'll be positive and keep anticipating the episodes to keep improving and for PDs to come up with better sustainable creative ideas to keep FO2 alive. lol Its a shame if its gonna be shortlived.

I'm rooting for more family games and more interaction with the locals but i'll have to wait and see.
