Baek Jin Hee to be in a love triangle with Jaejoong and Siwan in "Triangle"

Actress Baek Jin Jee, who most recently starred in 'Empress Qi,' will be joining Lee Bum Soo, Kim JaeJoong and Im Siwan in their upcoming MBC drama, 'Triangle,' as the female lead.
Her agency rep told Newsen on April 1, "Baek Jin Hee will be appearing in 'Triangle.' The actress has high expectations because of this opportunity to act in such a wonderful production."
The first day of filming for 'Triangle' has not yet been confirmed. As she left for New York today to film for SBS's new variety program 'Laws of the City,' we will finalize the schedule for the drama after she wraps up shooting for the variety show and returns to Korea.
In the drama, she will be playing Oh Jung Hee, who receives love from both the second son Jang Dong Cheol (Jaejoong) and third son Jang Dong Joon (Siwan). 'Triangle' will be replacing 'Empress Qi' in May so stay tuned for more updates.

Baek Jin Hee: From Playing An Empress To Romancing Two Idols

Baek Jin Hee did not get a whole lot of love in her role as the evil Empress Tanashiri in "Empress Ki." But she easily could make up for that in her new drama "Triangle."
In "Empress Ki" her character was so despicable she did not deserve to be loved. Her husband the Yuan emperor did not love her. Nor did the Korean king whom she loved. And the lack of love made her even meaner.
However the odds of her finding on screen love are looking up. In "Triangle", a tale of three brothers, she will play Oh Jung Hee, the woman who is loved by two brothers. JYJ's Kim Jaejoong will play one brother Jang Dong Chul. ZE:A's Im Si Wan will play the other brother, Jang Dong Jun. Both brothers fall for her character.
The two brothers who love her don't know they are brothers. They are two of the three brothers who were separated when their parents died and they have not seen each other for 20 years. During the course of the drama they slowly become aware of each other's existence and are eventually reunited. But they have a lot of differences to overcome before they can consider each other family. One of the brothers grows up to become a police office, while another falls in with a bad crowd and becomes a thug. The third grows up in a wealthy family and his life has been easy. And not only are they from different backgrounds but two of them are in love with the same woman.
The drama also stars Lee Bum Soo as the oldest brother and the police officer.
According to Baek Jin Hee's agency she has accepted the role.
"Baek Jin Hee will act in 'Triangle.' We have high expectations for this worthy project."
The first day of filming has not yet been decided. The actress is currently in New York City shooting the new SBS variety show "City Rules"
According to the drama's production company, they will determine the filming schedule when she returns to Korea.
Before she appeared in 'Empress Ki', the actress had roles in a few dramas, including 'I Summon You Gold', 'Jeon Woo Chi' and 'High Kick: The Revenge of the Short Legged'. She also appeared in several films, including 'Horror Story 2' and 'Rockin' on Heaven's Door.'

According to the associated press, with the addition of Kim Sang-soo and Moon, the five member line-up for 'Laws of the City' was confirmed on the 15th. They are getting a lot of attention for the new and fresh combination of faces including Jung Kyung-Ho who is attempting variety shows for the first time, Baek Jin-Hee, and the newbie Moon who is still mysteriously unknown.
'Laws of the City' is a travel variety show currently being planned by Lee Jee-Won PD who directed 'Laws of the Jungle' which entails dealing with cultural experiences while traveling around to different cities all around the world. It is expected that the five members will provide a new kind of humor with their different, individual characters.
This will be the first attempt at a variety program for Maknae Moon since his debut. It is said that he captured the hearts of the associated persons during casting with his native level English skills.

Baek Jin Hee and Naya Round Out the Lead Cast of Upcoming MBC Drama "Triangle"

Actress Baek Jin Hee and rookie Naya have confirmed their roles in MBC's upcoming drama, "Triangle."
Baek Jin Hee will be playing Oh Jung Hee, the love interest of two brothers: Jang Dong Chul played by JYJ's Kim Jaejoong and Jang Dong Joon played by Z:EA's Im Siwan. Oh Jung Hee is described as a girl with a bright outlook despite her difficult circumstances. She works as a casino dealer to support her family which consists of a miner father and four younger siblings.
Rookie actress Naya will be playing the role of Lee Soo Jung, the youngest daughter of a casino chaebol group called C-World. Lee Soo Jung is a childhood friend of Im Siwan's character, Doon Woo, whom she has liked all her life. Unfortunately, Dong Woo has never shown any interest in her, hurting her pride and causing her to be obsessive in her love for Dong Woo. This puts her in a complicated relationship with Baek Jin Hee, Kim Jaejoong, and Im Siwan.
"Triangle" is about three brothers who were separated 20 years ago. The drama follows the story of how the brothers are brought back together after not knowing about each other's existence. It starsLee Bum Soo, Kim Jaejong, and Im Siwan as the three brothers. Oh Yeon Soo, Baek Jin Hee and Naya play their female love interests, respectively.


JYJ's Kim Jaejoong: It'll be his small screen comeback after two years since MBC's "Dr. Jin" in 2012. In "Triangle" Jaejoong will play the middle child, Dong Chul. Dong Chul became a member of a violent gang because of his family's poverty.
The first brother role Jang Dong Soo, is confirmed to go to Lee Bum Soo, who will be playing a police detective. The youngest brother role Dong Joo, will be played by Im Siwan.
Actress Oh Yeon Soo is cast as a profiler who will be having a love line with Lee Bum Soo. Her last drama was "Iris 2" in 2013.
"Triangle" will be written by Choi Wan Kyu, who as also worked on "All In" and "Swallow the Sun." The drama will be directed by Yoo Chul Yong PD. It will air this May after "Empress Ki" comes to an end.
