I am quoting the whole post of silis7noy2 for the benefit of those who just logged in the thread [like me] since we jumped to 4 pages again.

Hello~ First I have to apologize for the length of this post

I was asked by some people from this thread to explain on how Yongseo is being received in Korea. I'm sorry I can't participate in this thread due to my busy schedules, even though I support YongSeo fully. It seems like there have been some kind of negativity in this thread recently regarding YongSeo's status in Korea? That's what I was told, it's impossible for me to backtrack this huge thread and go through the issue now but one thing I can assure is that YongSeo's position as one of the most beloved WGM couples ever is secure in Korea.

Unless you understand Korean and frequent the Korean sites regularly and talk to other Koreans about it, you won't understand the exact situations in Korea. Otherwise you have to rely on someone like me to explain it to you and how can you trust me? All I can say is I have been providing translations and updates for some time now and I simply try to be as accurate as possible. I don't exaggerate anything I simply try to report exactly how it is in Korea. You can judge the integrity of my past reports they're all here in Soompi.

With that I will tell you again that people in Korea who watch YongSeo love this couple and in the most enthusiastic way possible. From what I've been told some people here could be anxious that YongSeo/YongHwa/Seohyun and their situations may be viewed unfavorably in some ways in Korea. You have nothing to worry about in that regard I tell you! YongSeo couple is made up of very popular idols so there are all kinds of "different" fans attached to them plus regular people who are not idol fans. It is natural that there are going to be all kinds of opinions and although vast majority are positive, there are bound to be negative opinions too.

Some will be dissatisfied with how Yonghwa is portrayed in the show.

Some will be dissatisfied with how Seohyun is portrayed in the show.

And dozens of other dissenting opinions against YongSeo. And trolls too.

What I've been told is that some of these unhappy opinions have surfaced here in this thread and YongSeo fans are affected. You do not need to be anxious at all because all these unhappy opinions are minority opinions that have no significant influence! Some are from trolls and antis and some are valid criticisms but in the end there is no negative criticism of YongSeo, Yonghwa or Seohyun in Korea that is significant enough to be of any concern or affect YongSeo WGM in any way. The reputation of YongSeo in Korea is that of a lovable puppy like couple rare in this day and age, very well matched and complimenting each other, that is the overwhelming response for YongSeo couple in Korea.

Korean YongSeo fans feel this by heart so they do not get anxious when they hear negative comments. Hundreds of trolls invade WGM and YongSeo sites to try to stir things up but Korean YongSeo fans are strong and secure enough to easily fend them off. When someone has a valid criticism of YongHwa or Seohyun the Korean YongSeo fans would respond "Oh Thanks for your opinion although we heard that one already we appreciate your opinion~ Hang around and join our spazzing^^" Korean YongSeo fans do not get disturbed unnecessarily. Any valid criticisms are welcome and they do not get hurt or stay depressed just because someone comments negatively.

And this confidence you need to have as international supporters of YongSeo. It is understandable that international fans can be more susceptible to having various doubts due to not being able to have complete information like Korean fans.

But even without those information Korean fans have you can still be confident about YongSeo yourselves. Don't you watch WGM yourself? That is really all you need to have your faith in YongSeo. If a Korean posts a criticism that is unreasonable to you are you going to just take her words and feel depressed, just because she has the authority of being Korean? No if you are a dedicated YongSeo fan and truly think the criticism is unreasonable then it is unreasonable. And you remain unaffected, happy and strong for YongSeo, that is how Korean YongSeo fans are, it is all important part of how you support YongSeo. (Of course this doesn't mean being being a blind fan. Again "other types" of fans are involved with YongSeo and their positions need to be respected too. For example if YongHwa/Seohyun fans have wishes that conflict with YongSeo fans then there can be civil discussions leading to amicable compromises)

If there is a real negative view of YongSeo that becomes significant in Korea, I will tell you. But there hasn't been any and I don't believe there will be any.

Traditionally the influential site DCinside has been somewhat of a headquarter for WGM fans. You're probably already aware that many of significant wgm updates and goodies come from the DC WGM Gallery. In the beginning days YongSeo had very few fans in the gallery, probably 10% there were YongSeo fans. Now here is a snapshot of the DC WGM Gallery for the last few days showing the top popular posts with biggest viewcounts(Those viewcounts are huge for dc, since lurkers dont get counted and dc has enormous number of lurkers including internation fans^^)

YongSeo/Seohyun/YongHwa in Korean is 용서 서현 용화 and you can see how YongSeo posts dominate the whole list. It may seem silly to show a list like this to explain situation in Korea but not when you know about DC's reach and influence in Korea.

Bestiz is a huge entertainment site in Korea and it is very influential because reporters, media people, and the entertainers including many idols themselves visit this site. And the response for YongSeo in Bestiz is tremendous with people posting spazzing Gechun(main section) posts after each episode(which is rare in Bestiz very few shows get this), Let me tell you, Bestiz is a dangerous place it is full of trolls and antis. If there is trouble with a celebrity or a show, it will show up on Bestiz. If YongSeo has any significant problem, you will be able to see and feel it on Bestiz. It is because the antis will stir it up and try to make it visible to the reporters on the site. YongSeo is free from these antis on Bestiz precisely because of the great love and support YongSeo has on Bestiz. I'm going to give you few comments from Bestiz and I'm not picking only the good comments these are random ones I translated

"Looking at that, Yonghwa has good observations on people.. both of them are too cute ^^"

"Few months ago they were boring but why are they so fun now? kekekeke My jawbone is exploding from smiling kekeke I watch wgm for this couple my heart flutters kekeke"

"Watching Seohyun.. I remember my first date.. her reaction is similar to what I did back then.. kekeke"

"YongSeo really brings back the memories kekeke they make my heart complicated kekeke cute pretty and lovable"

"They were awkward at first so I wasn't gonna watch kekeke This couple I love more the more I watch now kekeke"

"I liked them from the start. I stopped watching wgm but restarted because of these two"

"Seems Seohyun is truly happy kekeke Owner of sweet potato field kekeke You like it because it's yours? keke Yonghwa is the man for giving her the present she wants"

"Too cute kekeke YongSeo has been on for quite a long but it isn't getting tiring it gets more fun each time kekeke Gets newer gets funner".

I show you these two example sites because they are the two of the most influential sites in Korea and even though it's not the whole of Korea, you can get pretty good idea of how things are in Korea by looking at responses from these sites. Are there sites with posts that say negative things about YongSeo? Yes sure one can show links like that from some sites, but I can always show hundreds of more links cheering for YongSeo from major sites.

I tutor some kids and one's mother is wgm fan and with her friends at the beauty salon they talk for hours about wgm couples they love YongSeo. Sure some of them have some critical comments too but in the end if MBC were to announce YongSeo quitting those ladies would become furious. The mother is a member of an influential site for housewives(This site resposible for some of the biggest K-ent gossip) and YongSeo has many devoted fans there, and some typical random comment there I translated:

"YongSeo is the it couple.. I really love the sincere attitudes they have in wgm.."

"First time since I was born that I've loved a girl idol like this. What the hell am I doing."

"The couple that shows pure love. I repeat the show infinitely"

In short what I want to say is that the love for YongSeo out there is grand and real and you should become confident fans in supporting them, and not get swayed by each little bits of random negativity that might come your way.

I'm rather in a hurry but I ended up writing a long one~ but I hope I wasn't rambling on too much or if this post is appropriate or if I tried to beat a dead horse...

By the way all three wgm couples are rightfully very popular in Korea in their own special ways, it's impossible to say which is the 'best' or 'most popular'.

And as for that ratings article thing, you can ignore it, it was just some trolls with fake ratings reports trying to create trouble but it wasn't that big deal with Korean fans like the article is making it out to be. It's a forgotten incident now, see again don't let this kind of random negativity affect you just because you hear about it

YongSeo Hwaiting~

I am thankful...very thankful to silis for dropping by the thread and making this comprehensive post that more or else give us a general view of what has been going in Korea in so far as support of the Korean public of the YongSeo couple is concerned.

I can say that I am one of the International fans here who rely on and definitely trust the accuracy, competency and integrity of silis in making translations of accounts, in bringing in news and in giving updates about the SNSD girls in the SNSD soompi thread of which I am a constant lurker. I do not consider myself as a long-time and die hard SONE. In fact I can't even categorize myself as such having known the SNSD girls only just lately and only through SeoHyun and through WGM. So I can very well say that I wouldn't plead guilty to charges of possible "biases and prejudices" in favor of SNSD at this point in time having known about the girls just recently. But one thing I notice about silis' accounts, translations and updates which she has been keeping the SNSD thread updated is that she does not only provide accurate translations of accounts, news, articles, reports etc..., she has always backed-up her claims with facts and hard evidences. Try visiting the SNSD thread and you will find her always having explanations and providing concrete proofs to almost anything and everything about the girls and their careers [as a group and even as individuals]--- from the girls WINS in music programs, to MUSIC Charts results and statuses, to CF deals, even about STOCKS in Korea and how the girls are playing a vital role in etc..etc..., name anything you want to know about and she would cover them accurately and with integrity. I might have read and gotten tons of information about these girls in the K-pop Entertainment World just relying solely on this one source, silis7noy2. So that every time there is any update or information she has just shared, explained and discussed in the girls' thread, I make it a point to grab it to be shared in this thread.

For me, it is all just a matter of exercising ones capacity of discernment---

1. being able to ascertain and see through the nature of the translator [which may include: competence/expertise, sentiments, predisposition, inclination, even motives and objectives]

2. being able to see the value and importance that such a piece of information, news or account would render

3. being able to differentiate between who comprises the MINORITY vis-a-vis the composition of the MAJORITY

4. and lastly, but of equal importance, is being able to discern between a FACT vs RUMOR and between a RUMOR vs SHEER FABRICATION.

Hello everyone!

I just watched ep 26! I really love their conversation on the bus. They talked about skinship! Oh my! Yong Hwa looked like he really wanted it and Hyun was so sweet with all the "ewww". And I nearly died when he uncrossed her arms. I think similar like what someone said a few pages back, it's like symbolic. "I'll open your heart?" something like that. And I found Hyun denying that she prepared anything, when she said it, she sounded very relax. She sounds like she was really comfortable. Yong Hwa must be really tired right? But I see his face seemed to glow when he smiled to her and said, "I'm hopeful for the future". Aaaaaah!!!!

And when he said "I'm different different different" was like telling, "I'm special for you, right?"

And it is clarified now, right? It is impossible for him not to prepare that. He remembered her birthday very well. He even considered fireworks or cake. But only he could think of giving her a sweet potato field.

His face when the owner praised Seo Hyun was priceless! He was like, "What? Go away uncle!"

My most favorite Hyun moment is when she played "Love" on her cellphone. I don't know, I felt giddy. Wow, she got his song on his cellphone! I love it that my imagination (all goguma fans imagination, maybe?) that she hears his songs all the time might be true.

When I read j2dlee translation that Hyun didn't see the present, I wasn't surprised. I thought something like that would happen. I'm excited to see what Yong Hwa would say to get her back to the field to find the present. Like everyone else, I'm so wishing that it's a new ring.

And I'm even more excited to see Hyun's gift. It might be skinship? OMG! Will she will she?

Ah I wish it's Saturday already!

I'm very thankful to j2dlee. Though I can't watch the show on Saturday, you always let me read what's happening on the same day. I'm very grateful for that. Thank you so much! You're my heroine!

As always thank u all for sharing all about our lovely YongSeo couple. I love that photo of SeoHyun shared by Geunjandi (wearing the ring of course). I must admit i luv SeoHyun but it's true she is lovely indeed that chubby cheeks of her is 1 of her assets. SeoHyun is so humble most of the time she don't feel she is beautiful, she don't know she is very talented and smart. But She is, she is lovely, talented and smart. Another good thing is YongSeo couple CLICK. What ever their differences the important is THEY CLICK THEY GOT CHEMISTRY that's why we love them, people in Korea love them and we from diffirent countries love them.

Thanks to silis7noy2 it's true we don't know much what's happening in Korea but i'm happy that YongSeo Korea fans are their to give their full love to YongSeo. I'm just wishing that they stay longer in WGM. I miss them already.

I can't wait for this saturday!!

It was previously mentioned that this birthday is the age in Korea when it is considered the transition from girl to woman. Is that true? Is that why the birthday episode was called from girl to woman? Or is it because something happens in the celebration/relationship.

I also remember that heartbreaker_warfare or Trent said, I don't know... this is moving so quickly 100 pages back? hahaha, that the traditional gifts for this special birthday are:

1) A necklace

2) Something that he didn't remember ( I wish he could)

3) A Kiss

If it is a necklace, that will mean he is aware that she is now a woman . If it is a hug or a kiss, that will be Daebak! Even holding hands properly because it will be the Real first time for them, not the viewers first time, and more important because it was on an extremely memorable day in their life . If it is a kiss, I cant decide who is going to take the step to do it. Any other time I would probably have said Yong but now with Hyun's gift to Yong in suspense I don't know. So in conclusion, whatever it is that made MC Kim happy, I bet Yongseo was a thousand more so, and if they are happy I am happy for them!! So Gogumas we can't start celebrating!

AND THE RINGS!! Does someone know if he occasionally tweet about Yongseo or if this the first time? Because if it is the first time, it confirms more than his words that the episode must have had a big impact on him!! I hate that we have to wait. MC Kim is torturing us hahaha

I am so sorry to cut your post...

I was only able to watch sever clips of Come to Play. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see a clip in which Yonghwa talked about his mother. However, I did get to read a news article that mentions this.

According to the news article, Yonghwa said that his mother was against him becoming a singer since even before his training days at the F&C. Yonghwa said that he saw his mother crying uncontrollable at the CN Blue debut showcase. That is when, Yonghwa said, he decided that he will to give it all so he can be the best he can be as a singer.

Once I get to see the show, I will tell you exactly what Yonghwa said.

I will start translating Running Man as soon as I can. I will do RM first since that show is much more fun.

ya, that's ok Running man also I need. I like and so proud for Yonghwa in the program MCs often interested for him.

about Come to play, oh.. hope you can watched full show soon , I heard Yonghwa said about 3 things got him shy something like this, not sure.

I think at that time in June, Yong's intention was just to tell Hyun to trust him and be open to new experiences with him. I don't think he was thinking of furthering their relationship after WGM... YET, cos it was only 4 months (but then what do I know, huh? I'm just speculating.) I think that he was not hinting of having skinship per se, I think he was thinking in a wider concept. He just wanted Hyun to be "open" and not closed off.

You guessed right, my nick is my name. What can I say? I'm just a simple ahjumma, or rather a lazy one to think of a cool nick name for soompi! So you know a winnieho?

Hey Gogumas

Some of you are talking about when Yong unfolded Hyun's arms. I always read a range of different translations so I can try to get a clear picture and I think he was trying to get her to relax and open up. Before Yong kept talking about the "combo" and everything so you can tell he notices! Hello Everyone!!!

I can't believe I become so popular around here.

First off, it's nice to know that I've encouraged people hiding under rocks to come out and cyber slap me across the face. Where ever did my original post go? Someone must have deleted it.

I tried reading each and everyone of your replies and some of you guys have managed to make such a huge deal out of it.

If I understood it correctly, most of you implied that I'm a YongHwa anti fan. Where that idea came from, I have no clue.

I never said I found Yong annoying from the very beginning. Give me proof if did. I only said that for ME, from MY perspective, MY observation, which obviously does not represent the rest of the world, just ME and only ME, the PAST FEW episodes, Yong have become annoying, to ME. He became very competitive with Hyun while teaching her how to play pool was just one that I noticed.

And yes, I only know Yong thru WGM and nothing more, it must have been a mistake on my part to say that Yong doesn't have as strong of a personality as Hyun. That's what you guys wanted to hear from me right? to say that I was absolutely wrong? Well, then, I apologize for voicing out a very negative opinion about Yonghwa, it was just an opinion I had at that moment, and seeing as this is a place for discussion, I thought it was ok to post it. I've been here since 2006 so of course I know that some of you will disagree, but spending so much effort only to disagree and defend isn't really worth it. I'm not an anti fan and I don't hate Yong so this doesn't affect me as much as you guys are probably imagining. I don't find pleasure in any of this like a twisted anti-fan. If I hate Yong, why only attack(if that's even the right word) him now? why not from the moment WGM began?

Do I look like a troll to you guys? just barging in the YongSeo Thread to create havoc?

All those aside, I love how dedicated you guys are to this couple, I miss soompi being like this, all these passion, seemed like it was gone for a long. But I used to be like this too and much more.

you guys can go back to a time when Xiam9 didn't exist in this thread. I'll still read thru the thread because I like yongSeo and WGM but I guess I'm not welcome to post anymore....

I don't know if my eyes were deceiving me, or was I deceiving myself. I watched the Chuseok special again a while ago and watched Yong and Hyun take on the haunted school. before going to the couch to take the picture, they were holding hands. but as they released their hands to hug each other, I noticed their fingers were sort of unlocking as well. as they were holding hands, could it be that their fingers were locked as well? could someone confirm this? sorry for this random post.

First of all, I apologise for getting your nick wrong in my previous post.

Second, I'm sure everyone would agree with me when I say that everyone is welcome to post in SeoHwa's thread, but as in all things, rules apply... some which are written but some which are implied. Just like how every home has it's own rules too for it's occupants to follow.

When you want to say something negative about someone, you've got to do your homework first and it must be constructive. You have not spent the time to get to know Yong and yet you are sprouting negativity about him with regards to his virtual relationship with Hyun. That's not a fair deal you are giving to Yong. Since he couldn't defend himself against your negative opinions, so of course a lot of Yong lovers came out to defend him in his stead.

I hope you have learnt something from this experience, as I'm sure a lot of us are too.

They're talking about some chart (music chart of sorts) and it came to CNBlue's Love Light. So Eunhyuk was saying Yonghwa made the song on his own (lyrics and melody), and was speculating if we would see a song he would write for Seohyun in their next album
