6 Mind-Blowing Plot Twists in 'Switch - Change the World'
One major element that has fans so addicted to Switch - Change the World has to be how the show never fails to surprise with its jaw-dropping plot twists. Every time we think we have everything figured out, something unexpected happens and blows our minds away. Here are 6 moments we never saw coming.

1- When the island gambling den is a scam…
The Plot: Gangster boss Jo Sung Doo (Kwon Hwa Hoon) gambles at an illegal gambling den on a remote island with several high-rollers. A righteous prosecutor and his team arrive on the island to shut down the establishment. One of the high rollers is killed in the process.

The Twist: We gasped when the entire stint was revealed to be a scam set up by Sa Do Chan (Jang Geun Suk) and his crew to take Sung Doo's money. He is not a prosecutor and the supposedly dead high roller is a member of his team.

2- When Do Chan is "stabbed" at the Spain Cultural Centre…
The Plot: To retrieve a piece of evidence from a secret safe under the Don Quixote statue at the Spain Cultural Centre, Do Chan and Oh Ha Ra (Han Ye Ri) agree to create a crime scene to enter the venue without a warrant. However, a bunch of thugs arrive and Do Chan is stabbed during an intense fight.

The Twist: After Do Chan is sent away in an ambulance, Ha Ra finds an empty box in the safe. The ambulance turns out to be driven by his crew, and he wakes up (completely unharmed) to reveal that the entire fight was orchestrated by him to steal the evidence.

3- When Investigator Ko suspects Do Chan's identity…
The Plot: Investigator Ko sees a change in his boss' personality and suspects that Do Chan may be an imposter. He obtains Do Chan's fingerprints and sends them to the lab for identification. Ha Ra thinks that their secret will be uncovered and prepares herself for dismissal.

The Twist: When Investigator Ko returns to the office, we thought things were over for Ha Ra and Do Chan. But Investigator Ko apologises for suspecting Do Chan and says the results show that Do Chan's fingerprints match Jun Su's. A flashback reveals that Do Chan has, in fact, obtained Jun Su's fingerprints in advance and replicated a set to apply on his fingers.

4- When Baek Jun Su appears at the dinner party…
The Plot: Prosecutor Gil (Son Byong Ho) brings Jun Su's high school classmate to the district prosecutor's birthday dinner. When Do Chan fails to recognise his old pal, Gil accuses him of being an imposter.

The Twist: To prove his identity, Do Chan undresses to reveal a lightning-shaped scar on his back and tells a story that only the real Baek Jun Su would know. When Ha Ra speaks to Do Chan after the party, she finds out that he is actually Jun Su! Do Chan had rescued Jun Su from the hospital earlier and the pair switched identities in time to thwart Gil's plan.

5- When Do Chan steals a truck full of drugs…
The Plot: Do Chan and Ha Ra discover that drugs may be hidden under the swimming pool of director Hwang's home. They arrive at the house to find that the stash has been transported to another location via an orange truck. Do Chan and his crew hijack the truck and steals the drugs.

The Twist: Luckily for Ha Ra, Do Chan did not go rogue. Instead, he delivers the stash as bags of flour to Hwang's press conference. In a hilarious turn of events, Director Bong (Jo Hee Bong) reveals Hwang's drug-lord identity to the media.

6- When Do Chan traps Sung Doo…
The Plot: Under the orders of 'Grizzly' Geum Tae Woong (Jung Woong In), Sung Doo spends his days looking for Director Bong. When a drunk Director Bong meets Sung Doo at a dark alley, he flees to an abandoned building.

The Twist: Do Chan appears at the building. It turns out he has been waiting for Sung Doo and everything is a carefully plotted scheme to trap him. Yep, we totally did not see that coming.

[Article] K-Drama Review: “Switch Change The World” Nicks Calibrated Caper Story From Start To Finish
SWITCH CHANGE THE WORLD IS AN EXCITING LEGAL DRAMA THAT DOES NOT EXASPERATE!
Relentlessly eager to maintain its stimulating momentum, Switch Change The World stuns with smart cast and excitingly flowing story.

From its thrilling opening week, Switch Change The World threads on keeping the audience hooked with no room for anyone to miss the succeeding episodes.
Powered by a nicely numbered cast divided into heroes and villains’ camps, the riveting story of a conman, who poses as a prosecutor, will leave you pique, and wanting more to explore his adventures.

The good versus evil battle surges to a boiling point of restless reversals to reach a final victorious feat for the heroes.

HIGHLIGHTS
*NEATLY SKETCHED & STRONG LEAD CAST

Clearly delineated, the good and evil players in the drama raced through a scintillating finish with equal power and motivations. I liked that the number of participating cast does not fluctuate, and how each of their roles is not wasted up to the last sprint of the culminating frames.

Carrying the weight of the story, Jang Geun Suk, who played dual roles as a prosecutor and con artist, handled his personas with poise and commitment. The focus he limned in switching his characters, who are even switching inside the story itself, deserves an applause. Facing a superb villain in Jung Woong In made their showdowns exciting, owing to how clever the characters which they played.

Having two amazing male leads, Han Ye Ri synthesized well by making sure her character keep its bearing by not allowing the dominating presence of the battling male leads swallow her position in the story. She has proven that kisses and romance do not equate to on-screen chemistry for the main pairing in the chronicle.

The supporting cast, who are composed of barely newcomer actors, successfully sold themselves for possible drama offers in the future. They managed to sustain a balanced exposure making them scene-stealer in their own ways.

PRECISE CONFLICT & DEFINED NARRATIVE
Switch Change The World made sure that the initial big picture presented get a gratifying closure in the end. It meandered on exciting curves, but maintained a graspable logic to its viewers.

The usual insertion of side conflicts was upgraded in a storytelling manner, which impelled the gripping hook of the plot. Playing the resolution simple yet exciting was one of the key points why the series excited followers. The versatile writing satiated the predictable trajectory by leading the viewers to enjoy the outmaneuvering game played by the heroes and villains.

The drama relied on the pretext of the story, which it was trying to impart, refusing to ride on the drawing factor of adding romance to its plot. By prioritizing on the message of the narrative, the audience did not even have the urge to root for a love story, simply because we were piqued on how to end everything for the villain once and for all.
PLOT SUMMARY
Set to return to his Seoul office, Prosecutor Baek Joon Soo meets an accident on his way unfortunately, which was orchestrated by a shady group. The prosecutor falls unconscious, so his team mates finds and orders con artist (but lookalike) Sa Do Chan to pose for him to complete an important meeting related to the drug dealers they are investigating. The accident unfortunately hit Jun Soo hard, so Do Chan’s acting is to carry on in order to uncover the man behind the illegal drug dealing. When Do Chan realizes that the case actually involves the man he has also been looking for all these years, he agrees to prolong as a substitute to the ailing prosecutor. He embarks on an arduous outwitting game with a villain, who is always a step ahead of them.

RECOMMENDATION
Time whizzes enjoyably in the swift paced story of Sa Do Chan. The mood, the characters, and even the music set up an engrossing legal-crime drama, powered by caper activities and clever showdown between the heroes and the villains. It maintained its upbeat tone and clever narration, while unraveling the back stories.

Prioritizing the flow of the story by utilizing its well-conceived cast makes up the visible fillers awkwardly inserted once-in-a-while into the narration.

Throughout, Switch Change The World has never played favorites on the outsmarting game between the heroes and villains. The turning of tables and mind tricks powers the engaging core of the narrative.

If you like heist stories, you would most certainly be delighted to join Team Switch in their adventure.

Can someone explain how Sa Do Chan went from being a wanted criminal for the "attempted murder" of Geum Tae Wong, and impersonating a prosecutor, to walking around freely and even standing in the courtroom and at the courthouse in the last scene????

Did I miss how he was acquitted? First they show him in hiding, then all of the sudden he is walking around freely.

What did I miss, or is everyone suspending disbelief and not questioning this key point?
