The reason behind Micky Yoochun casting for Sung Kyoon Kwan Scandal from the head of casting team

After the production decision of based-on original novel “Sungkyoonkwan yoosengdeulenanal’ drama was announced, it attached lots of attention . Right now, It is in the process of making decision for the cast and crew after finishing reading synopsis.

Now it seem like we revealed about the cast this soon.

Among all of them, Micky Yoochun really has the image that fits the role of Lee Sunjoon (Main Character) in all aspects so we casted him. Actually, for the pass time, he got so many offers from famous drama production but he rejected every of them.

The reason was he was already too busy to work as Dong Bang Shin Ki.

Apparently, all the offers for drama casting that were made and rejected actually were done by his agency more than himself.

Even he wanted to do acting but he had no chance at all.

Right now , It’s the time he has freedom to do any activities.

Right now, it seems like the right time for him to think about it and we heard he maybe has time to prepare for drama too so we offered casting opportunity to him and finally he decided to accept to cast for Lee SunJoon for Sung Kyoon Kwan Scandal.

Micky Yoochun has lots of passion for acting and for music too.

Actually, at first he hesitated about casting.

He doesn’t have confidence about it at all even he is so successful with his singer career. He said he doesn’t have self-confidence about acting , his acting skill is still not good and he’s really scared of going in to acting field.

I never think that someone from so popular group like TVXQ will have this kind of thought and I really admire to see him so humble and have good posture.

He will definitely absorb his role as LeeSunJoon magnificantly.

He has a secret prepare for this gradually. His fan just found out some time ago.

All of the role will be revealed after this.

The filming will start around May. Please look forward to it.

Hi boomboom_19865, sorry to cut your post but I also heard that some good actors are nominated for the male leading role like Park Hae Jin, Kim Nam Gil, Im Joo Hwan, 2PM's Wooyoung, Yonghwa... But our Yoochun came out of nowhere at the end, LOL!!! Maybe those actors can be other 2 male leading roles??? And I wonder who will be the main girl, long time ago I heard Kim Ok Bin was considered to be but now there's no news at all, I personally like some actresses like Kim So Eun, Shin Se Kyung, Lee Min Jung, Lee Ji Ah, Han Ji Min... Hope she's a good actress and pretty and fit Yoochun well!!!!! Yeah, the drama is based on a novel called The Life of SungKyunKwan Students which is very popular and was a big bestseller when it first came out!!! And Yoochun is the main-lead role - Lee Sun Joon, I also know the female main character name is Kim Yoon Hee, I don't know other F2 though (since the drama have 4 main characters so Korean fans call them F4 in Chosun perious)

“SungKyunKwan Scandal” will begin its filming from today onwards.

Starring DBSK’s Park Yoochun as the lead actor, alongside Song Joong Gi, Yoo Ah-in and other good-looking actors, the first filming session for “SungKyunKwan Scandal” has begun on the 27th.

“SungKyunKwan Scandal” is a youthful and romantic historical drama. It is based in Sung Kyun Kwan back in the olden Korea times. The appearance of the quartet in this drama has been compared to the F4 in 『花样男子~Boys Over Flowers』 and is currently the focus of much attention.

In “SungKyunKwan Scandal”, due to the weak health of her younger brother, the female lead takes part in an examination disguised as a boy and ends up being enrolled into Sung Kyun Kwan due to the outstanding results obtained. She later meets the three characters played by Yoochun, Song Joong Gi and Yoo Ah-in, triggering the start of a campus love story.

With Yoochun as the lead actor, the filming journey of this youthful romantic drama has taken its first step with its first filming session on the 27th at someplace in Gyeonggi Province. Today’s filming is about a scene where a freshly-enrolled Syeonjun appears in a street in Bukchon to solve a confidential imperial decree which he had received. It was said that after Yoochun had accepted his role, he has been analyzing the character and pracitising his performance. Yoochun also expressed that he looked forward to meeting Yun Hee (the name of the female lead). He was unable to sleep the night before the filming and he felt nervous while preparing for the first session of filming.

A spokesperson of the production company of “SungKyunKwan Scandal” expressed that due to everyone’s concern, all the actors and crew members began the first session of filming with a boost in their morale. He added on to say, “We hope that everyone will continue to give their endless love and support towards this excellent production.”

Oh my, chunnie already have his own thread this long? Soooo excited!! I love period dramas so having chunnie in one made it 10 times better . I like Song Joong Ki too. Not familiar with the other two so we'll see. I'm soooo looking forward to watching this one.

Watched both episodes of SKKS but have no idea whats going on except for what I read of the recap. I guess I'm just so used to chunnie singing and not acting that I expect him to break out singing at any time hehe. He's good for a newbie though. Looking forward to more from him.
