It is about to be 2010. Have a look at Japantor's top 50 anime of the decade (00's). Everything from 2000 to 2009.

That's it for now. Stay tuned. The rest is still to come.

What do you make of the list?

Very surprising list, I didn't expect Romeo x Juliet to make the cut at all for all the crap that it has been. 35th place, honestly, and Code Geass 21? Surprised at Death Note beating Naruto by such a small margin.

...Why do I have a feeling that Haruhi is going to be 1st?

No one will ever completely agree with these kinds of rankings because it's based on personal opinion after all, but it'll be worth at least checking out. You may find a title that turns out to be better than you expected. XD I don't agree with this list at all, but I do see some interesting titles I might watch.

LOL omg aw man, I went "YAY!!!" when I saw K-On #1 and then I scrolled down and... ahhh T___T

At least Makoto Shinkai and Hayao Miyazaki's works are in the top 10, they should be placed first and second place though ahaha.

i'm okay with 1 to 10 but 50 to 41 is crap for putting spice and wolf and baccano so low. and below naruto...blasphemy.

and yeah, i definitely wouldn't put some of those titles on there.

LMAO ... when I saw that K-On was #1 hahaha ...

I think FLCL was my the first anime I watched in 2000 b/c a friend got me the first two disks as a gift

gah that seemed like a long time ago

hmm ... I like the top ten, I've seen all of them ... wait, haven't watched Azumanga Daioh or Gurren Lagann but I've heard good things, good things ...

hahaha ... I feel like a freak now b/c I've seen most if not all of the the animes listed -.-

YES. HONEY & CLOVER WAS #10. :3 Out of 100, that's pretty damn good.

Honestly, one of my freaking favorite animes of ALL-TIME.

This decade was a great decade for animes (: of course the 90's had a lot of epic ones too that I personally still adore to this day, but this decade has definitely.. been great.

lmao.

lol @ the k-on thing.

but yay FLCL! I think it deserves that spot.

I thought animes like The Girl Who Leapt Through Time & Eden of the East would be a lot higher though ^^;

Or even Baccano! too.

Btw, does anyone know how this list was accumulated?

At first, I was wondering what about the other classics like, SailorMoon and Gundam Wing but then reread and it was for the 2000s.

I think I'm the only one that doesn't really see the appeal of Haruhi.

I think the list was voted by the site's staff members didnt read the articles in detail though.

These ratings are whack. I understand the subjectivity of it, but the anime I like are rated low and anime I thought were ok are ranked very high. If they explained their reasoning I could accept it but logic like this, "This is the anime. The one that, for just about every single otaku, proved to be a turning point in their lives." doesn't cut it for me because the impact it had on me was not life changing at all. Plus combining anime and movie projects from one creator sorts of defeats the purpose of top 10 or in this case top 50 list.

huh.. what about Bleach?

I don't agree with some of them.. and why is Naruto so low? It's still going strong as ever.

Actually.. that article seemed a little bit like it wasn't written with objectivity.
